I found Dr. Hwee through my insurance provider back in 2016. I have always wanted a breast reduction because 1. my breast were just too big for me and 2. I kept muscle spasms around my neck down to my shoulder. My chiropractor suggested a breast reduction and I was on it. At first I went to another doctor and she was not so great to talk to and her office never followed up with me regarding if my insurance approved me for the surgery or not. They just kept trying to make me come in to "speak to the doctor" just so they can make money and charge my insurance company. So I found Dr. Hwee and my consultation with him was so comfortable. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and gave me the results he said he was going to give. His staff contacted me right away about me being approved for surgery and was able to book the date ASAP! He did my surgery at the hospital which I think is better. I woke up to my family sitting right next to me when I woke up. I was dramatic as hell on the car ride home but after thinking about it, I can't remember any pain. I took the pain meds cuz I was scared to feel pain but I stopped on day 3. I had surgery on a Thursday and went to work a Monday. That quick! He bandaged me up so well and I didn't have any drains. I got so many compliments! I am now scheduled for a BBL consultation with him and I hope I can afford this procedure with him because my experience with him was perfect. I was able to see my doctor for the consultation, day of pre-op, day of surgery, and two post-ops. Nowadays, surgical coordinators gives you consultations through photos and email and you see the nurse for post-op. Thank you Dr. Hwee!!!

I had the most horrific experience with Dr. Yin Kan Hwee at Plastic Surgery Specialists. I had him perform a rhinoplasty which left me with an internally damaged nose and cosmetically it looked awful. He does not take pictures and create an edited sample or rendering like every other professional plastic surgeon I have ever been to. After surgery, Nasal valve collapse and excessive bleeding did not stop for months. Dr. Hwee attempted a second surgery which left me looking and feeling worse than ever before. Finally a third surgery was done, which left me with a massive cut through the front of my skin. I was told by Dr. Hwee that the thin skin on my nose "tore" but later I found out that it was cut through by him, accidentally. Upon removing my sutures for the third time, I began to bleed again, and Dr.Hwee proceeded to stitch my nose and swollen septum while completely awake, (without any anesthesia or painkillers.) This was one of the most painful experiences of my life. After all the time and money I already spent ($12,500+) I had to find a new plastic surgeon and have since spent an additional $27,000+ for revision rhinoplasty, septoplasty, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and and vascular "scar-removal" lasers to fix the damage Dr. Hwee and Plastic Surgery Specialists caused. My new surgeon told me my skin never tore, and that it was actually extremely thick. I was also told my septum had perforations and was never fixed properly. I feel cheated and lied to in addition to all the pain and suffering this facility has put me through. Not to mention the financial burden that I had to endure to be able to breathe properly and look decent again. If you are looking to get a rhinoplasty, please do not risk your health and appearance with Dr. Hwee, go elsewhere and seek a professional who is Double Board Certified in Otolaryngology (AAO-HNS) and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
