I’ve had mild-moderate acne most of my life but coming off the Pill in my late 30s made it significantly worse. I tried a cheaper dermatologist first and had a bad experience, feeling rushed and unheard and being prescribed a cream I’d already tried without success. Visiting Dr Kluk couldn’t have been more different. She let me ask lots of questions and never rushed me, came up with products I wasn’t familiar with (as a long-time skincare buff I wasn’t expecting that) and a regimen I wouldn’t have tried on my own comprising both prescription and “normal” skincare. She explained everything thoroughly and was able to answer all my questions. It’s now been a little over a year since my first appointment. My acne has virtually disappeared and I get compliments on my skin now. Dr Kluk is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. And I certainly wasn’t pushed to keep coming back for endless further appointments. Very highly recommended - I only wish I’d seen her sooner.
This is about the most unprofessional 'professional' person I have ever encountered. I went to get with sun damage after i had ruined my skin on my forehead in Egypt when a photographer told me to take my car offer 30 seconds and I literally fried. The UV level was over 15. I am ginger! Justine refused to believe this was possible and instead I had not sun damage but rosacea. I had rosacea on my cheeks since I was 25 (now 50) and the stuff on my forehead happened literally overnight and in the sun. She bullied me into the rosacea theory and insisted I don't have sun damage (rosacea doesn't case fine lines)! She has since been proven wrong by other more qualified dermatologists. Avoid her like the plague.
Hi. Your photo looks like melasma, but I would suggest arranging a face to face dermatology consult given your medical history and the other features you describe. Best wishes.
Many injectors will administer botox below the eyes for this reason. Unfortunately small bruises do sometimes occur - it is unusual in my practice but I always warn of the possibility when I take consent. Your bruise will settle but it may take 7 - 10 days. I would suggest buying some Dermablend to camouflage it. Ice is unlikely to be useful at this stage. You could try Arnica but I tend not to find it particularly helpful!
Experienced injectors know the landmarks to avoid ptosis (droopy lids). If it is your number 11 lines that are causing you most concern, your physician can just stick to injecting your glabella and avoid your frontalis (forehead) which means the risk of droopy brow or lids is even smaller!
