Thank you for your question. Fractora is an RF/microneedling device that penetrates into the subcutaneous layer and stimulates collagen production. This helps tone and tighten the skin. It does not affect the underlying fat. We have had very good results in our clinic with no burns or new sagging, as you’ve described. Regarding settings, I recommend you find a clinic well trained in Fractora as settings vary per person. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. You are correct that most lasers put you at risk for pigment changes. However, microneedling combined with radio frequency such as Fractora minimizes this risk to such a degree that pigment changes aren’t seen in our office. Fractora penetrates the skin to stimulate collagen production and tightening while resurfacing from the inside out. It requires an operator with knowledge on using the correct needle type and frequency, but even the darkest skin can benefit from Fractora. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Sculpsure is a much newer technology which uses laser to penetrate directly to the fat whereas Coolsculpting freezes the skin using vacuum suction. There is no downtime with Sculpsure whereas Coolsculpting can result in pain and/or bruising. Complications are less likely to occur with Sculpsure. Both are FDA cleared to permanently destroy fat. That being said, if loose skin is your main concern then you may need to consider something like Fractora which uses radio frequency combined with microneedling to stimulate collagen production and tighten the skin. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Fractora is actually microneedling combined with radio frequency so you get two treatments in one simultaneously. Fractora stimulates production of collagen (the skins support structure) beneath the surface of the skin. Radio frequency goes beyond simply microneedling. Thin skin may experience broken vessels with some bruising with either Fractora or just microneedling. This is not permanent, and does not occur in everyone. Most skin is already well healing after just two days. Find an experienced Fractora practitioner near you and enjoy the results!
Thank you for your questions and photos. Little pimples can be a normal part of the healing process and should result in much clearer skin moving forward. The needle holes are common, but the lines are less common. Ask your technician to use slightly less pressure, next time, and this should have a better result moving forward. I like your idea of polysporin for your particular results, but our favorite post treatment is Renu 28 gel, and Renu Advanced moisturizer. Stick with Fractora and you’ll be pleased with your results!
