Started this journey today. Was not uncomfortable at all, just a little warmth. I have been with Dr. Thanapathy for years, she delivered 3 of my kids. Very thorough and explained the procedure thoroughly. 2 more treatments will keep updating.
Prp is great way to look good without the permanence and risk of surgery. Prp facelift also improves your skin texture while plumping up some of the hollows I experience from being 62. Once ia year was the recommendation but I found I needed it again at 6 months, so cost was an issue for me. Only one downside, a more “spa like” environment would be preferable over a clinical setting. That being said Dr Thanapathy is a great doctor!
Very attentive - Dr. T provides expert advice (with fantastic results), explains everything, and works to put you at ease throughout the process. My skin is noticeably firmer, brighter, and more youthful looking - seems to look better every day!
Excellent experience with incredible results. The PRP process was quick and super easy. Everyday my face feels tighter, smoother and brighter. I would recommend this treatment and Dr. Thanapathy if you are interested in maintaining and/or creating a youthful appearance in your face. The face can make a first impression.
PRP does burn when injected especially when activated by Calcium Chloride. It is normal to massage the area after the injection so that the fluid is distributed evenly before it gels.
There is no down time after the Femme procedure. You can have sex immediately and most people feel a reduction in laxity even after the first treatment.
I do not recommend PRP procedures when you have an active infection of any kind. It is better to let it settle as these are elective procedures. That being said PRP procedures can activate a herpes infection if you already carry the virus in your body. When my clients have a strong history of recurrent episodes i offer them a prescription for the infection so that they will have it available should it happen.
It is recommended that Calcium be used to activate the PRP for injections and not the micro needle facial. I use Calcium Gluconate and that does not burn which is why I use it. I have also been told at classes I have attended that some MDs from England use lidocaine instead. So the fact that you did not have pain does not mean that the PRP was not activated. You must have liked your initial treatment enough to want to do it again. Why stress over it? Or real simple, call the MD who did it and ask them the question and take it from there.
There is no reason to stop the Tylenol but you should hold anything that can interfere with platelet function. These include ibuprofen, aleve, toradol etc for 48 hours before and 48 to 72 hours after. I also tell my clients to hold the omega/fish oils.
