Typically I recommend no rubbing or massaging the areas of injections. Occasionally, physicians may gently blot the area to stop minor pin point bleeding. Theoretically speaking you do not want to "spread" the neurotoxin to areas or muscle groups that were not targeted. This is obviously more important in certain areas like the frown region and above the brows. Ultimately, lack of effect may be related to number of units utilized and injection technique and placement rather than massaging or not. At any rate not massaging may avoid potential complications such as drooping of the eyelids. Best to choose a board certified Dermatologist or plastic surgeon experienced in cosmetic injections.
People with a true milk protein allergy (not lactose intolerant) should not receive Dysport injections as this is used during the manufacturing process of Dysport. There is no such contraindication with Botox and definitely not with Xeomin. These can be safely injected in patients which such an allergy
