Overall this expense has been beyond emotional. Dr. Joshua Lemmon and his staff have made me feel comfortable and confident in my decisions. Dr Lemmon had gone over and beyond to make sure my relsults were realistic. I’m very please with my choice. I’d decently remmind him to my friends and loved ones. He’s been amazing! Updated on 26 Mar 2018: 5 days post op and things are moving along great!!! Updated on 19 Apr 2018: I still swell pretty bad but overall I feel good. My incisions are almost all healed except my belly button but I still have no regrets. I can’t wait to sleep in my bed instead of the couch but I’m getting there.
Wow! Where do I start! I went to 3 consults for a breast reduction! While all the doctors were amazing, the second I met with Dr. Lemmon & his staff I felt comfortable. I did not feel pressured to do the surgery and I was even recommended to go to all my consults before choosing a DR no matter how happy I seemed with a consult. I am now 3 weeks Post Op and I feel like I have my life back because of Dr Lemmon. My self confidence is back & my back pain and neck pain are gone among many other things. I feel like Dr. Lemmon & his staff were as excited for this surgery for me as I was for myself. They have compassion, kindness, and are very professional and personable at the same time! Anything I have needed from the moment I was in the consult to being post op and still continuing they have done for me in a prompt manner. I also think the care that was given in the private surgery facility the day of my surgery was outstanding from the nurses to the anesthesiologist to Dr Lemmon! This surgery was worth every penny and I do not regret my choice on choosing Dr. Lemmon! If I ever need anything else done or have friends and family looking I will always recommend him!
Hi all! I am going through with traditional liposuction on June 29, 2017. I am having my flanks, abdomen, inner and outer thighs done by Dr. Josh Lemmon in Dallas, TX. He's amazing and has done my Breast Aug. 2 years ago so I trust him. I am still a bit scared about the procedure and recovery on the whole. I'll need a whole lot of help and support for my post op, mainly with keeping the swelling down and working on tightening the skin asap. Thanks everyone! Updated on 21 Jun 2017: 7 days pre op Updated on 22 Jun 2017: Measurements were 30" waist at belly button, 41" hips at legs shoulder width apart, 24" thighs at biggest part (up higher). I feel pretty bloated today so I'm going to scale way back on the carbs and salt. Updated on 22 Jun 2017: Here are some more photos of shorts that fit last year and a video. Updated on 25 Jun 2017: Hi! I have ordered a few garments through Amazon and not all seem they will work. Any suggestions on a brand of style you loved? Thanks! Updated on 25 Jun 2017: Hello! Well, I've packed my "lipo bag" (I live in Houston but am having my surgery 4 hours away in Dallas), and I've began to make my last Wal-Mart run list to start packing my clothes for the days I'll be away. I've taken some more photos as I feel like my water weight varies so much lately. Getting excited! Again, I'm having my flanks, inner/outer thigh and abs done. Updated on 28 Jun 2017: Hi! So I had my consult yesterday and I am having my abs, flanks (and a little feathering into my back), and inner outer thighs. He says he wants to do a little on front and back of thighs which I'm hoping won't dimple. I trust him so we are almost ready! Below are the contents of my "lipo bag." All items I found from Amazon. I'll update to which ones I even used. Yay! Updated on 28 Jun 2017: Here's the last of my before pics. Again, going forward with lipo of flanks, abs, thighs. Eeeks!! Updated on 28 Jun 2017: Hi! I forgot to add my measurements. 30" waist, 41" hips standing feet shoulder width, thigh 21.5", weight 150. Height 5'6" Updated on 30 Jun 2017: Ok so..holy $"@&! Going into surgery I was nervous and whimpering like a baby. Then I was out. Procedure took about 2 hours. I got to the surgery center at 6am and left at 11ish. I took my time in recovery. Ride home was rough. My mom and I had a total meltdown around 5pm to 9pm BC I was only leaking through two (out of maybe 14 incisions so it was much more clean and comfortable to stand. I'm taking Percocet and I don't feel it really helps much. I must not respond to pain meds well. Day 0 I slept decently but was grossed out by laying in wet clothes (on puppy pad things) to sleep. In and out of bed is rough, as is sitting. When I sit, the very lower back stitch and the one under my butt (only on right) was the only ones leaking out of like 14 incisions. Day seems less yucky, bruising seems the same but I'm still too sore to sit. Picking something up off the ground is almost impossible. But I feel energetic enough, so that's good. Updated on 1 Jul 2017: So here we are, 48 hours post op. Today felt a lot like day 0 right after I got home. Getting in and out of bed is still pretty challenging. I had super bad stomach cramps last night which were mostly from not having a BM. My mom went and got me some magnesium citrate to drink (any local pharmacy or grocery should have it). It works super fast and it gives you (tmi) almost water poops. But I'll tell you it's so much easier to expel than pushing it out. Stay near a bathroom for a few hours for sure. The bruising and swelling seems to be about the same and I'm very hard but I can imagine how great I will look when that subsides. I have a much better appetite today and I'm still taking the Percocet. It doesn't take away all of the pain, not for me at least, but I'm sure it helps somewhat. Would I do this again? Yes. It seems (cross fingers) the leaking has stopped. I was only leaking out of 2 spots on my right booty cheek so imagine all of the fluids coming out of only two ways vs equally all over. Updated on 1 Jul 2017: Just a few things I found I couldn't have lived without. Buy maxi pads and tape them over leaking incisions with surgical tape. Arnica tea is a nice option too. For constipation, a stool softener with that magnesium citrate, straws, protein bars and shakes, towels that aren't white, Hulu and Netflix. Plus items I took pics of. All from Amazon. The cheapy, soft blankets don't let you leak on a nice comforter . Posting pics. Updated on 2 Jul 2017: So if I had my surgery on Thur morning, it's now late Sunday night. My crazy ass is going to drive from Dallas to Houston tomorrow. 4 hours! The doc said I should be fine and I must wear my compression garment. I might wear my Spanx until I get home. I slept a lot today. Almost all day. Just in preparation for tomorrow. I've been doing some light squats. I feel pretty hard but I kind of like the feeling as it reminds me of when I was super lean and muscular (even though the swelling says I'm 1" ish and 5 lbs heavier than pre op). I swear the Emu oil I've been rubbing on after the shower is working little by little. I'm down to ibuprofen from Percocet BC honestly I can't tell the difference. My lumbar area Is the only thing I wish had more strength. Updated on 3 Jul 2017: Ok, so here we are, 4 days post op (if you count op day as 0) and I'm feeling good. I drove from Dallas to Houston and only stopped once. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. 4.5 hrs in the car. I am going to take a nap without my compression garment for a while and elevate my feet, shower and go back to sleep for the evening. Tomorrow is July 4th and I hope to do something sort of fun. This is a pic in Jammies. Night night! Updated on 4 Jul 2017: Hi! I slept in my own bed last night for the first time since last Tue (and all through my post op) and I've realized my mattress sucks. Must work on that. (I was in a very nice hotel). I've been sleeping in my garment and I notice when I take it off there are indentions where the zippers and such are. I slowly and gently massage them and I'm washing my garment today. I'm going to attempt to lie by my friend's pool for a bit today. Could be a huge mistake. I'm not getting in. I'm in Houston so I'm sure I'll sweat and be inside in 10 mins. Bruising and swelling seems about the same. Weight is the same pre op. Thighs have gone down a little. I'm still rock hard but it kind of feels better than jiggly. My 3 dogs are in a boarding place until tomorrow, so I must enjoy today as it get real tomorrow. Updated on 4 Jul 2017: Updated on 6 Jul 2017: I went back to the Percocet last night and today as I felt I might have over did it between the heat and the errands. In and out of the car can wear on you. No real weight drop. Measurements seem the same. My legs and flanks (and lumbar) is still pretty stiff. I feel a few lumps here and there but I understand that is to be expected. I'm having my first Lymph massage today. Bruising is interesting. Such a myriad of colors. A lot of dark purple staining in my labia area. Updated on 7 Jul 2017: Hi there! Since it's been raining off and on I decided to take Thur and Fri for "days of rest." I've sort of been overdoing it lately, so why not? I am trying a new compression garment I found on Amazon only BC the Zippers are in different places. Here are some pics of the garment under clothes. Oh! And I can touch my toes today!!! I've always been into yoga and what not so post op when I couldn't I freaked! Updated on 8 Jul 2017: Hi! So far life is almost back to normal. Pain is ok. Back (lumbar) is still numb. Inner thighs are hard and feel kinda lumpy. My first massage will be in a week if not sooner. I'm drying to work out. I'm down maybe 3 lbs post op. I'm trying my best not to eat a lot. Chicken, eggs and rice for now. The bruising is what it is. I asked if I could get a spray tan just BC and I was given the green light. It will probably make all of this look worse but at least my chest and arms will be better. Updated on 10 Jul 2017: Here are some pics. I'm down a few lbs but I'm starting to feel lots of weird bumpy spots near my inner thighs, hips and a pocket thing on my back. I feel ok though. Updated on 11 Jul 2017: I read somewhere that someone used magic eraser to get the medical ink off (I had just a little left in some places). Alcohol, soap, etc didn't work so I thought...why not. Don't! That's why! Just a tiny bit of scrubbing caused a cut. Lol! Duh! Updated on 11 Jul 2017: Sans swelling and bruises, plus spray tan. I'm cool with it. Updated on 13 Jul 2017: Ok, I'm having incredible trouble sleeping, I had my first massage yesterday and I think I feel a little yuckier than I did before. I'm going to try and work out a little today, but I just feel super low in energy. I'll break out of it as I need to hit it hard at work next week. Any help? Updated on 16 Jul 2017: Hey guys! Ok here's today's pic. The ac in my home went out last night so I didn't wear my compression garment most of the past two days. Too hot in Texas! Bruising is going down but I've eaten badly for 2-3 days. No more! Intermittent fasting begins tomorrow! My pre existing cellulite is coming back. Booo! Updated on 22 Jul 2017: Hi! Well, I'm pretty pleased with my results so far, but I am so ready to be feeling normal again! I'm still very sore in my back and on the backs of my legs. Sitting (on a toilet for example), is still fairly painful/uncomfortable. Getting in and out of the car, same way. Sleep has been hindered a bit, but it's getting better. Updated on 25 Jul 2017: Yay! My shorts that were fairly tight before my procedure (3+ weeks ago) fit nicely now. And dare I wear a crop top? Lol! Updated on 31 Jul 2017: Hi all! So the soreness has gotten much better but my lower back is still numb/super sore and my inner thighs burn. I have some gym work to do still on my back and arms but here's the swimsuit pic. Updated on 20 Aug 2017: Hello! I had my 8 week follow up visit with Dr Lemmon last Wednesday. The said all was looking good. I have a knot on my side (waist line) that he says is scar tissue that a massage therapist could help work out. There is a little line/crease on my right thigh that we hope will even out over the months otherwise I'll have to have another procedure. Booooo! I am overall pleased even though I've only lost maybe 5 lbs and 1-2 inches in my waist. I still swell if I look at salt. My yoga pants almost needed to be cut off after dinner the other night! He said I didn't need to wear my compression garment any longer but I think until my sodium devil goes away, I'll still wear it when I can. It does help. I've started dry brushing before showers to help the cellulite I already had. I am back in yoga and MUST start on a diet plan so tomorrow I will begin the Beachbody workouts and Shakeology shakes (which I'm also a coach) and get ready for my dream...to train for a bikini competition. Hopefully be ready by March! Yay! Updated on 9 Sep 2017: Although here are some more before and after pics. Yay!
Dr Lemmon and his staff took very good care of me! My recovery was short and sweet due to great communication and their sincere interest in my success. I never expected my results to be so life changing.
Dr. Lemmon is an AMAZING Dr. He listens to his patients. Super nice guy. You feel like you have known him forever. He is also very honesty. He doesn't sugar coat anything. Which I love! I'm glad he recommended the size he did for my body type. I was very indecisive in my consultation, and he knew how many ccs I needed to achieve the look I am going for. So far my recover has been so easy! I highly recommend Dr. Lemmon to everyone I know. :)
I've been lurking on RS for 2+years reading and researching my "next steps" to the new me. In 2008/2009, I started my journey to become a Cancer Survivor and opted for a bi-lateral mastectomy and transflap breast reconstruction. My original PS did a great job. I was truly blessed. Throughout the recon process I had to reshape the way I reviewed my body which took an emotional toll on me and my marriage. What woman doesn't want to feel sexy and look sexy to herself when she looks into a mirror (with or without clothes). So now the lurking began...thinking and considering my next steps to the new me. I'm going to stick with my Original PS even though the lure of the Dominican Docs are real strong, those docs snatch your waist and give you an hourglass figure. But I'm no spring chicken and doesnt want to experience the "what if there are complications". Therefore, I'm going to stay with Dr. Lemmon. I trusted him once and he didn't let me down then so I know he'll doe right this time. Updated on 28 Oct 2015: I'm super excited about the thought of a new curvy me. I'm hoping to secure a date before the end of the year. I'll try to post some before pics to officially kick off my RS journey. Bye until next time Dollz. Updated on 28 Oct 2015: Here's a few before pics of my Transflap done for my breast reconstruction. Didnt know at the time that I could have gotten lipo of flanks. Dr. Lemmon said he would lipo, flanks, back, inner and outer thighs, and stomach. Sorry about the size ways pictures! Updated on 5 Nov 2015: Finally received my quote, all inclusive. Making my deposit tomorrow and starting my count down. I actually have two procedures, Nov 12th #byebyeovaries and my sx the first week in Dec 3rd or 4th for now. Having my stomach, flanks, and thighs done. Not too nervous just looking at wish pics to ensure that Dr Lemmon know exactly what I want. I completely trust him. He performed my breast reconstruction which included a tummy tuck. Because of the cancer I wasn't focused on any cosmetic stuff, just beating the cancer. All in all, I was pleased with how my body looked originally but after I started to mentally "heal" from the cancer, I wanted to look sexy again and get my body back. I'm going to upload more pictures and show you guys just how square I look in my clothes. Ready to say bye to all my back fat and saddlebags:) Updated on 10 Dec 2015: Had my consultation with Mr. Lemmon. Ready for the my new body. Nervous and scared at the same time. I've reviewed so many profiles and dont want to wake up disappointed. The one thing I do know is Mr. Lemmon does great work. So I'm in safe hands. Updated on 16 Dec 2015: So I had my SX yesterday:tummy tuck scar revision, lipo of flanks and outer thigh. Dr. Lemmon did an amazing job...i was so square and oddly shaped with the dog ears (love handles) and saddle bags. I still have to lose weight but I'm happy with my new shape. Updated on 16 Dec 2015: So I've been home all day resting and taking 800mg ibuprofen to keep the pain at bay. I dont want to take hydros so I have to just deal with it. The tummy tuck revision hurts the most. Weird thing is my doctor didnt give me a compression garment so I'm using a pair of small Spanx and it seems to be doing the trick. I've order a front zip garment from amazon and hope to have it by Monday. The lipo isnt so bad. Of course I'm sore but its the dang tummy tuck...painful and cant stand up 100%. I had hoped to go back to work by Friday since I'm not draining much. Swelling is under control somewhat. I'm a busy body so I cant sit still for very long. Here's another picture of what I look like in my Spanx....not too bad for post 1 day. Updated on 17 Dec 2015: Pain management is better today. I'm still very sore but that is to be expected after being cut and chopped..lol. I'm am so happy with what I see so far because I'm swollen but I see the results and improvement to my shape. Started a high protein diet to help melt away some of the extra fat. If you ladies are in the DFW area...wow Dr Lemmon is awesome. I love his compassion and attention to detail. I thought about going to DR but I'm so much better off staying local. He did a great job and I'm going back in 2016 to get my breast areola tattooed and maybe arm lipo...not sure yet but he's definitely my guy. Updated on 19 Dec 2015: It's been less than a week and I'm feeling great, of course I'm still stiff and soar. Will load pictures soon. Updated on 20 Dec 2015: Last night was the first night that I slept in my bed: elevated head and pillow under my knees helped a lot. I need your help RS family. I live in the DFW and want to get a lymphatic drain massage. Please PM me. I want to reduce the swelling and promote healing. Actually I read so much about them from other RS Dolls in the Miami, ATL, and DR that I want to maximize my results as well. Updated on 21 Dec 2015: Worked a full day today and felt okay. The back pain is real and its now the most uncomfortable part of my recovery. I have my post op appt with Dr Lemmon. Ive spoken to his staff a couple of times. I also found a massage therapist for LDM. Omg, she's very expensive. Said she could look into my eyes and access what I needed for my health, lymphatic draining. Really cant find other professionals so I'm going with it. Also Dr. Lemmon office is providing a post lipo garment. Hummm....not sure if it will be a faja. Gotta post pictures soon. Until tomorrow. Updated on 22 Dec 2015: Went to Dr Lemmon for my post op appt. He gave me a compression garment and prescription from scar medicine. Dieting but I cant tell that Im losing inches because of the swelling. Updated on 24 Dec 2015: Hey RS Family, hoping everyone has a merry Christmas! Make it safely to my family's house and when I arrived, my new compression garment and a lipo board were waiting for me to squeeze into:) So pleased with it that I wont wear the one that my PS provided. I purchased it from amazon and it is the right support. My waist is 31 so I followed the size guide and ordered an xxl. Like the lipo board a lot. So glad that my RS family suggested it because it gives added support for a flat stomach. Updated on 25 Dec 2015: Merry Christmas RS family. Today was a good day. Changed the order of my compression garment process to : spanx, lipo board, and body garment. The spanx feels better next to my skin and is smooth, no lines or marks. Updated on 29 Dec 2015: So I'm totally bound and wrapped up with lipo boards, ad binders, and compression garments. Is it worth it? The moment I take it off, hello swelling. How long should I torture my body? Updated on 30 Dec 2015: So here's a picture of my progress. I'm feeling better each day. I have a few hard spots on my thigh but massage them multiple times each day. Today I decided to take a "break" from the full compression garment and lipo board. I have on spanx and my ad binder all tucked away underneath my clothes. I dieting a bit until I'm released for exercise. Otherwise I need to tone because I'm pretty pleased with being a curvy size 8. Can't believe I'm saying that because I used to starve myself into a 4/6. Learning to love me for me and all that comes with it...curves and all. Updated on 31 Dec 2015: Hi RS family, thanks for all the love and support and tons of valuable information pictures and posts. My PS journey would have been totally different if I didnt have yall backing me up. Today I'm wearing my spanx and using the lipo board. Less stress going to the restroom at the office. I'm super thrilled with my results but need help with my ugly dark scar. Most of the surgical glue is off so I can begin my scar therapy regimen. Any tips on how to treat AA skin? Thanks in advance. Happy New Years and Many Positive Body Images to come:) Updated on 2 Jan 2016: So today I had my first LDM and I can already notice the difference in the "tightness and soreness". It was worth every penny of the cost so much so that I'm going back tomorrow to begin a series to maximize my results. I feel so much better that I'm not wearing my compression garment and feel normal. Cant explain how it works but it just does. Hopefully will post pictures soon. Going out tonight so I'm getting my pedi now. Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend RS fam. Updated on 3 Jan 2016: So I had another session today and can "feel" the difference, my flanks aren't as tender and I don't feel the need to wear the compression garment during the day. I'll continue to wear it at night but the swelling is reduced significantly. The only issue is the price...cant get it for those DR prices but the consultation and information provided is worth the investment. I figure if I'm going to spend thousands for the procedure, I might as well protect my investment and do things to ensure that I look as nice months/years from now. Here's Allegra's contact information: 214-965-0190 . She certified and knows what's she doing. Because she's the real deal, she won't work on the scars area until 6 weeks after the procedure. She will work around the area and do a grear job for you. Gonna get around to those pics this week. I'm having another session on Wednesday and want to capture the progress. Updated on 4 Jan 2016: I decided to put my binder back on despite the LDT (2 sessions) because I'm back at the office because I'm up on my feet most of the day. I did notice that this morning, my flank area were more puffy and looks kinda swelling more than normal. Anyway, I'll continue the good fight and endure the many ups and down of the post lipo swell hell. I probably should have continued to wear the garment but I was so excited about feeling better and less sore that excitement got the best of my good judgement. I will live to fight another day. Until the next time RS fam. Updated on 5 Jan 2016: I'm looking for small improvement with a reduction in swelling. Is it my imagination? Updated on 9 Jan 2016: So yesterday was ny first day in the gym in over two years. I know, embarrassing but the truth. Thinking long and hard about changing my lifestyle to healthy eating, no glutin or dairy and including moderate exercise. Not sure if I can do this ...tried a million times and haven't successfully accomplished toning and weight lose. God help me get motivated to make the necessary changes to be wildly successful in all of my endeavors. Amen. Updated on 11 Jan 2016: Trying out a waist trainer at night when I sleep. Out of all of my lipo stuff, thumbs up for the LDM and lipo board with spanx. My exercise struggle is real.... Updated on 18 Jan 2016: I've never been big the whole exercise your heart out regime. No don't get me wrong, I've tried every weight trick in the book. I'm a few days into my 30 day mark and when I look in the mirror, I don't see the noticeable improvements. While I havent been dieting or really exercising consistently, I'm modified my lifestyle to eliminate gluten and dairy. To break the plateau I'm starting to walk on my treadmill 20 mins a day. Doesn't sound like much, but exercise is so blah to me. So I purchased a cute workout outfit for motivation, lol. Nite RS family, pics to follow. Updated on 20 Jan 2016: So the newness is wearing off and I'm objectively evaluating my progress more. My sides/flanks should be smaller....ugh. I can pinch more than an inch of fat. When I have my follow up, this will be a topic for discussion. However I can't imagine going under again but a correction is necessary. Here are a few pics of my progress albeit slow I'm in a medium spanx and on the last row of hooks for my waist trainer. Updated on 6 Feb 2016: To sum it up: Patience. Had my 2nd post op with RPSC and the talented Dr. Lemmon. The first thing on my mind was the "pinch more than an inch" issue that I wrote about in one of my earlier updates. I felt that the assemetry was noticeable. The second concern was the darkness of my scar. While my scar is completely flat its dark. His response, patience...while he agreed with the assemetry, he reassured me that I still had a considerable amount of swelling under the skin and we would reassess the situation in May. He felt that the swelling would be down, if not completely gone. The tough thing about this journey is I cant imagine going back under the knife for a revision. He reassured me again when he explained that there are several things that we could do to address it if the issue persists after 3 months. Bottom line for me: I need to be patient. My I have an awesome board certified PS who have me a hell of a price and a total body transformation with a curvy shape. Regarding the scar: patience as well. I'm using Bio-oil for even skin tone. Thanks for the support, words of encouragement, and love RS family. I'll see you guys next month. Updated on 6 Feb 2016: This pic goes along with my 2nd post op. 49 days in Updated on 2 Mar 2016: I'm feeling pretty good these days and have been able to start consistently exercising on the threadmill at least 3x per week. My goal = tone my flanks, hips, arms, and butt. Today's update, I'm in my fav yoga pants, no compression.
I drove in from Houston just to have my breast augmentation done by Dr. Lemmon. There are plenty of surgeons in Houston, but after MANY years of research and consultations - travelling to Dr. Lemmon was the best choice. Not only is he one of the highest rated plastic surgeons in the area, the cost to drive into Dallas, and the fee for silicone implants was comparable to the cost of surgery in Houston alone. Plus they tell you to keep your blood pressure down the first few weeks after surgery... Anyone from Houston knows the only way to do that is to get out of that town :-) They provided everything I needed to prepare for my surgery and botox on my next visit if I chose. Whether you are from Dallas, Houston (which I was) or anywhere else on this globe, I highly recommend Lemmon. They are extremely flexible and helpful with their out of town patients. I had great breast aug results and would recommend him to anyone!
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Lemmon.. He did a great job on my Tummy Tuck . And Breasts. My stomach looks amazing.. I feel like I was given a fresh start with my body.. Kids can really take a toll on our bodies... My scar has faded so much its hard to even see .Getting this done was so scary in the beginning for me.. BUT I would make the same choice over again without a doubt,, Dr. Lemmon made me feel comfortable. and answered any and all concerns I had .. I will go back to him for any procedure I need or want done.
Im 22 years old, 5'1 and weigh about 150lbs. Ive always had big boobs which caused a lot of back and neck problems for me. When I turned 18 I decided to get a breast reduction. I had the consultation and everything and was so excited. About a week later I found out that insurance didn't cover the procedure even if its medically necessary. I was devastated! I became depressed because of this. I got married this past January (2013) to the most wonderful guy in the universe! We discussed trying to get the surgery done sometime this year. He got a raise and promoted, which allowed us to afford my surgery sooner than we had planned! I got the soonest date that I could because I was so excited! My surgery was Thursday August 29th. It was out-patient so I went home that day. I didn't have any pain at all that day. I even got my husband and parents (who came to town to help take care of me) to take me shopping! It was hard walking straight and standing up so I had to be in a wheelchair but I wasn't in pain. Day 2 I was in a little more pain but still ok to get up and do stuff (my family hated that I wouldn't stay sitting down!) I did notice that a blister had appeared above my bottom incision. I called the ps and he said it was common and to just keep gauze and Neosporin on it. Day 3 I was in more pain than before and the bruises were the worst. I had my first shower/bath with the help of my husband. I didn't wanna raise my arms to wash my hair though so I went to the salon and had it washed (and cut) and just relaxed! Also went shopping (I just cant stay home!) Days 4 (yesterday) and 5 (today) were about the same. Itching like crazy and not as much pain anymore. Yesterday the blister busted and another appeared on my other boob (not as big). I bought a sports-like bra to help keep the gauze in place. They keep oozing clearish liquid and blood. Also they are still a little numb >.< My post-op is Wednesday so I get my bandages off then. Hopefully the swelling goes down soon so I know for sure what my size is now. Either way im super happy with the results! I don't even have back pain anymore! Updated on 3 Sep 2013: My bruises are blackish purple on the bottom of both breasts. Has anybody else experienced this? It kinda worries me :( Updated on 3 Sep 2013: Updated on 4 Sep 2013: Updated on 4 Sep 2013: My post-op was at 8:30 this morning. I got my big bandages off and everything looked good, my ps wanted to take the extra skin from the blisters off so they could start healing faster. He wants me to keep double or triple antibiotic ointment and guaze on it and see me every week until the wounds heal. According to them, the bruising and numbness is normal and will take a few months to go away. I think today has been the worst day for pain. Although im pretty numb, the wounds where the ps pulled the skin off sting pretty bad. Im also pretty sore and swollen. Hopefully that goes away soon! Updated on 4 Sep 2013: Forgot to mention in my post-op update that my ps gave me a $200 gift certificate to their spa! Im in need of a facial! :) Updated on 6 Sep 2013: The numbness in my incisions is going away. I have this pain on the right side close to the bruise on my ribs that feels like someone is pushing on my incision as hard as they can. Ive taken my Lortab and some Ibuprofen but the pain isn't going away :( other than that pain I really only hurt when I get up and walk around. I feel tightness and a little sore like Im just bruised. Still keeping Neosporin and guaze on my open wounds. All I feel on those is a little bit of stinging but theyre numb for the most part. Since surgery, Ive been sleeping on the couch/recliner so I can stay on my back (if I sleep in the bed I might roll over onto my stomach). Last night I crawled into bed with my husband just to cuddle and ended up falling asleep (thanks to Ambien lol) I slept really good until my husband left for work. I couldn't get back to sleep because I had really bad back pain from being flat on my back. Looks like Im back on the couch until I can sleep on my side or stomach :/ For the first time today I felt nauseus Updated on 6 Sep 2013: My last update posted before I was done... For the first time today I felt nauseous. I was up and about for a few minutes getting things packed to go to my parents house later today. Then I had some cereal. Im not sure if it was activity or the food that made me sick but I had to take a Phenergan to feel better, and now Im resting until its time to leave. Anybody else have trouble with nausea after surgery? Updated on 7 Sep 2013: So Wednesday my ps rubbed the loose skin from the blister off and this is what it looks like now. Its like a giant scab. Not sure how long itll take to heal. Still cant feel it though. He said thats normal and itll take a few months to get feeling back Updated on 8 Sep 2013: Updated on 8 Sep 2013: All of my bruises are pretty much gone now, but I still have pains on my ribs really bad and im starting to feel the incisions :/ The scabs from the blisters look to be healing. They still look icky but not as black. I've kept neosporin and gauze on 24/7 but I'm gonna try to go without tonight to let them air out a bit. I keep saying that the pain is getting worse everyday but I also realized that I've stopped taking the Lortab as much... But the numbness is going away so maybe it's a bit of both. Updated on 11 Sep 2013: Went for my second post op this morning. My ps said everything is normal and that I might start splitting under my boobs which is to be expected. I'm supposed to see him every week but I'll be out of town for 2 weeks and then he's out of town the next week so my next appt is Oct. 2nd. He said I just need to keep him posted and send pictures if anything changes and he will let me know if I need to come back to town for stitches or something like that. Updated on 13 Sep 2013: Well my "vacation" to see my parents isnt really going that well. They have 4 cats and im severely allergic to them :( so on top of not being able to sleep because of my surgery, I cant sleep because I cant breathe and I had a massive headache last night and only got an hour of sleep :( I brought (and took) Clairton, benedryl, and my inhaler. Nothing seems to be working and im miserable. Ive only been here since Wednesday and ill be here for 2 weeks! Hope this gets better :/ Updated on 13 Sep 2013: Updated on 14 Sep 2013: Finally got some sleep last night. Mainly because I took two benedryl and a lortab last night. I'm able to sleep on I'm left side with no pain but because of the giant scab/sore on the right side it kinda hurts to lay on. But it's gettin better! :) Updated on 17 Sep 2013: So all the tape is off. I rubbed Neosporin on them and then showered, the oiliness of the medicine made it come off easier. Im able to sleep on my stomach now. I just have to be very gentle when I roll over. The scabs are getting smaller everyday and the glue is coming off little by little. I saw a small part of the bottom incision and the scar looks really good. I could barely see it. Still no splitting and it doesn't look like they will (that's just my opinion though), I just hope they keep healing like they are and not get worse. My right boob is still more swollen than left (don't see much improvement) but its not getting worse. Updated on 18 Sep 2013: I know you cant see much but my wounds are getting increasingly smaller day by day. My incisions look really good especially on the left side. It amazes me that they aren't that noticeable even though I've seen everyone else's scars (well I saw that they were barely noticeable as well ;P ) Updated on 20 Sep 2013: Updated on 23 Sep 2013: So here's an update. Everything is looking better everyday! But yesterday after my shower a piece of glue came off that was still attached to a scab. I freaked out at first thinking my incision split but then realized what happened. I just need to be more careful with it Updated on 24 Sep 2013: Updated on 28 Sep 2013: So what I thought wasnt gonna happen did :( the vertical incision on my right side split. Im extremely sad about this.. but on the bright side im able to wear strapless dresses! This excites me to the max! Iol (Sorry about the blurry pictures) Updated on 29 Sep 2013: Finally decided to upload nipple pics. Was uncomfortable at first but it's whatever lol so anyways. The left side is gettin smaller and the right side opened up more :( my next appointment is Wednesday and I think my ps is gonna take the scabs off finally. Im gettin nervous though cuz my feeling is coming back to those areas. They just itch right now but I dont want it to hurt :/ Updated on 30 Sep 2013: Well the scab on the left boob has finally come off! Hopefully now it will heal really fast! The Right side still looks the same though Updated on 2 Oct 2013: My appt was today, my ps cut all the dead skin/tissue/scab off my wounds. I felt pressure mostly but it only hurt on one spot. He gave me a bottle of saline and wants me to keep damp gauze on my wounds until they heal. The small one should take 3 weeks and the big one about 6 weeks. So I dont need a skin graft :) im happy about that! Ill upload pics after my shower tomorrow, I already have them all covered and dressed. Updated on 2 Oct 2013: I decided to change my dressing because my ps put really big gauze on and it was uncomfortable. (Sorry forgot pics) The left side was fine, but the righr side hurt so much when I tried to take the gauze off. The area that hurt when he cut into it bled and dried on the gauze causing it to stick to it. Since I pulled it off (as gently as I could) and put more gauze on its been stinging so bad :( im scared to take a shower in the morning.. not looking forward to dealing with this everyday Updated on 3 Oct 2013: Went to take off the gauze to shower. The left side came off fine. The right side on the other hand was stuck on there pretty good. I had 3 layers on and was able to take 2 off with only a little pain. The third layer hurt so bad I was crying. Even in the shower after I soaked it. I finally got out of the shower to cut the loose pieces off and rubbed neosporin on the last part. It helped a little but still hurt really bad. Im supposed to do this everyday :( I dont think I can handle this for several weeks. Oh and theres lots of blood :/ I felt dizzy in the shower I had to stop and breath before I passes out Updated on 4 Oct 2013: I want to say thank you to everyone who encourages me and keeps me in their thoughts and prayers. I have gotten a few opinions from other doctors. Theyve all said similar things. I dont regret my surgery whatsoever, I just wish I didnt have to deal with this. Id be ok if they were both as big as the left but the right side hurts so bad :( the left doesnt hurt at all. It takes me an hour just to get the gauze off so I can take a shower. I even wet it in the shower and try but nothing seems to help :( its really upsetting Updated on 6 Oct 2013: So yesterday I started a new cleaning routine. I started using hibiclens instead of fragranced soap (I know that's bad, it's all I had) and I started using a tighter weave gauze. I've noticed a huge difference just since yesterday AND I wasnt in hardly any pain taking the gauze off! That makes me extremely happy! Updated on 7 Oct 2013: More blood than normal while taking off my gauze today :/ feel really dizzy seeing all that blood. Idk how I can watch gory movies but cant handle my own blood. But at least I still didnt have that much pain taking everything off! Updated on 8 Oct 2013: Kinda upsetting that my Fredericks 36F bra still fits :( Updated on 8 Oct 2013: When I went to take off my gauze earlier there was hardly any pain or blood and I didn't need to wet it at all. Came off very easy. Everything looks great too. Healing very well! Updated on 9 Oct 2013: So it turns out that I will need a skin graft. Apparently my wound got bigger since last week. My ps said he wants to see me next week to see how everything is and figure out when we need to schedule the surgery. I really only need it on the big wound but he said he would go ahead and do it on both since ill already be under. He also said that my insurance should cover this procedure but if it doesnt then he would cover it Updated on 9 Oct 2013: I dont see a difference other than the nasty dead tissue is almost gone Updated on 11 Oct 2013: I haven't really had much pain (except when my dogs jump on me or my husband tries to hold me in his sleep). I've mostly been itching. Its itches so bad Idk what to do about it :/ I've had trouble sleepin lately. Last night I didnt get to sleep til 3 and the night before wasn't til after 4. But when I do sleep I'm still able to sleep on my stomach with no pain (probably not a good idea though) My next appt is Monday and ill find out when my skin graft will be. I'm hopin its soon so I don't have to deal with the gauze anymore. Has anyone had to have a skin graft? Updated on 11 Oct 2013: My scars are looking great! And I pulled out an oldish bra (got it even though it was way too small, its a D-cup) and its too big now :D I cant tell by how much though. I have it fastened in the back (racerback) so it stays on otherwise itll fall off lol Updated on 14 Oct 2013: Saw my ps today, my skin graft is scheduled for next thursday the 24th. My insurance will cover all but $200 which my ps will cover for me :) I also asked how much he took out and it was 4lbs! :D Updated on 24 Oct 2013: The wounds have been looking so much better lately. Hardly any dead tissue left. It wasnt hurting as much either and looked as if it was starting to heal (just very slowly). Skin graft was this afternoon. Everything went great. When I woke my my pain level on my leg was about a 9, they gave me some lortabs and now its about a level 4. My boobs dont hurt at all. Just my leg. But I itch everywhere! Lol ill get my bandages off in a week Updated on 25 Oct 2013: I had to change gauze (just the tape really) so I decided to snap a pic while I could. Im pretty allergic to adhesive and the tape they used was super strong! I was itching a soon as I came to after surgery. I finally took it off and changed it to tape not as strong. I haven't been itching as much since then Thank goodness! My leg feels better too! I wish I could get some sleep :( ive gotten to sleep around 3 every night pretty much since my first surgery. My schedule is so messed up now :/ I even wanna up late now. Im supposed to be getting a job soon so idk how im gonna fix my sleep schedule. Anyone have any suggestions? Updated on 25 Oct 2013: Updated on 25 Oct 2013: The tape pulled off some skin when I took it off to change last night :/ I'm not sure what else to do to Updated on 25 Oct 2013: (My phone is acting up :/)... keep the gauze on. The paper tape that I had kept falling off and was just as itchy. Now I'm covered in adhesive and burns Updated on 28 Oct 2013: My leg hurts so bad :( I was having an allergic reaction to the plastic so I took it off (with my doctors permission) I have a piece of gauze that's stuck and hurts worse than when it happened on my boobs :/ it itches like crazy Updated on 29 Oct 2013: I can barely walk, I'm in so much pain. I just took 2 lortabs and they don't seem to be helping :( it seems like I'm hurting more than the day I got out of surgery. I cant even sleep. Idk what to do. The wound is dried out and feels like if I sit still too long or hurts worse to try to move. Its giving of heat too. Idk if that's bad or not. I put a cold wet wash cloth on and wrapped an ace bandage around to soothe it. It's kinda helping but Idk if it'll make it worse :( im just so frustrated Updated on 30 Oct 2013: To answer a few of yalls questions, ive been taking lortabs for pain which has helped alot. And benedryl for the allergic reactions to the tape. I saw my ps this morning. He took off the gauze and stitches. The skin graft is looking good. My boobs dont hurt at all anymore. Just my leg. I was finally allowed to take a shower after a week of waiting. It felt so good! Im not sure whats wrong with my leg but its giving off alot of heat and its red all around it :/ I think its a little swollen too Updated on 4 Nov 2013: My leg is itching so bad now which is a good thing I guess cuz that means I'm healing. It doesn't hurt as much anymore either Updated on 4 Nov 2013: Updated on 6 Nov 2013: Still hurts but definitely not as much and still itches like crazy! Updated on 6 Nov 2013: Updated on 12 Nov 2013: Ive been scared lately because pieces of the skin graft have been falling off so I texted my ps and he said that its new skin forming (thank goodness!) Updated on 13 Nov 2013: Saw my ps this morning. Everything is healing perfectly! I don't have to go back for another month! I'm impressed with how good they look. Updated on 17 Nov 2013: Tried on a couple bras and im officially a B! Yay! Not in anymore pain either! Just have to wait til everything heals completely. Won't be too much longer :) Updated on 7 Dec 2013: Sorry I've been behind on posting but everything is still going great. I'll post pictures soon. I do have one spot that hurts every now and then but for the most part they're fine. Still dry and peeling from the skin graft though. My leg isn't hurtin either. Still itches pretty bad but I can handle it. Updated on 8 Dec 2013: Things have been crazy here lately so sorry for not posting sooner. Holidays are busy, I started working again, and my great grandma passed away last week. But here are some pictures... leg is still pretty red but it's getting smoother and not as dry/flaky. My boobs are healing great as well. Still peeling a little and a little tender on the spot on the right boob that was always hurting and bleeding. I have noticed though that they aren't even but I think that's because of the complications I had. The right one seems a bit higher and when I wear certain bras or tops my nipple sticks out a bit :/ but im still enjoying the life of little boobies :) Updated on 16 Dec 2013: No big changes. Everything is still goin good. My right boob does itch quite a bit where the skin graft is though but I'm still numb in alot of places so it does nothing to scratch lol I have an appt to see my dr today so if anything changes I'll let yall know Updated on 12 Jan 2014: Well last night I had an itch right under my left rib. I felt something hard, like a hardened vein. I did some research before I got too freaked out but it turns out it was a blood clot from surgery. I went ahead and went to the er and they confirmed that that was the case. They said to take motrin for swelling and pain meds (as needed, which I dont). I also need to put a heating pad on the area for 20 minutes 3 to 4 times a day Updated on 1 Feb 2014: So the blood clot is still there but its not bothering me and it isnt dangerous so im not really worried about it much. I found a lump on my left boob. I got scared and called my mom and she assured me that it was just scar tissue. Once im back home im gonna call my ps and have him take a look/feel and see what he thinks. Its probably nothing but Id rather know for sure if it is or not. Last but not least I GOT A TATTOO! Lol I covered the scar on my leg and you can barely see it anymore. I bet once the color is done you won't be able to see it at all anymore! Updated on 24 Apr 2014: Its been a while since the last update. Just haven't had anything really to update. They've gotten bigger unfortunately :( im hoping I can get back in shape and maybe they will get smaller. Updated on 14 Aug 2014: So I know I said I was happy with my results and don't get me wrong, it was still worth it, but now that everything is done healing I'm not as happy. When I went into surgery I was expecting scarring but not like this. My right breast is the worst. Pretty much the whole bottom half is scarred really bad. Idk what went wrong. Idk if I should be upset with my doctor or myself. I did everything I was supposed to so I don't think I caused this. My depression has gotten worse because I was expecting them to be perfect aside from the "anchor" which I didn't even mind. This I do mind. My ps says he's gonna fix it. He wants to do a lift and take all the skin graft off...... but that's half my skin (is he planning on doing another reduction ?). The problem is, though, last time he said he was gonna "fix" it he said I wouldn't have to pay anything. After my surgery I got a bill in the mail for $900! I had already spent every penny I had on the $6000 for the first surgery. I don't go see him again until October but I'm worried he's gonna make me pay for this "fix". I can't do that. I wanna know everyone's thoughts on this Updated on 14 Aug 2014: The $900 bill was reduced to $100 after bringing it up to my ps. Also the pain in the skin graft scars is still there Updated on 11 Nov 2014: I had an appointment with my plastic surgeon October 29th. I will be having yet ANOTHER surgery... sometime in January I think. We havent set a date yet. Were working on that detail. He said hes gonna do a scar revision and lift. Mainly just the lift I think but he said it will get rid of most, if not all, of the grafted skin. He isnt charging me for the surgery or anesthesia. The only thing I will have to pay for is the surgery room fee which I was told will be around $1100. They are in the process of trying to get the cost down lower which is why we dont have a date yet. Im gonna give them a call tomorrow sometime. Updated on 3 Jan 2015: Excuse the fat, stretch marks, etc.. I've gained quite a bit of weight lately :( Updated on 3 Jan 2015: Updated on 3 Jan 2015: The worst pain so far. Woke up in pain immediately. But we got all the scar gone! Also has anyone else had their ps staple the paper to you? I have multiple spots with staple marks Updated on 13 May 2015: I saw my ps about a month ago and he said that everything is healing well and unless i have more problems which is very unlikely i dont have to go back :D Thank you everyone who has kept me positive and sane. I hope I've helped with my experiences as well! Updated on 14 May 2015: Updated on 19 Jan 2016: So new update for yall, im 30 weeks pregnant! My boobs are still great! They haven't grown much (if at all), im still a 38C! I have 3 questions. First question is has anyone been able to breastfeed successfully after a breast reduction? And what are your experiences? Second question, have you experienced your nipples becoming really dark (or darker than before) during pregnancy? And did they go back to normal? Third, the scar on my left side is extremely itchy and hurts to scratch. Is that normal? Possibly from the pregnancy or something? Updated on 19 Dec 2016: its been almost a year since my last update! I had a little baby boy March 19th of this year so he will be 9 months old at 3:50am!! I just wanted to share a little about our breastfeeding journey since I had my reduction about 3 1/2 years ago. We started out great. He latched right away! I was in the hospital for a couple days since I ended up getting a c-section and by the end of my stay my dr said my son had lost a little too much weight so she wanted me to start him supplementing with formula as well as nurse and pump. I didnt/dont make much milk at all so i ended up stopping nursing and just pumped and bottle fed. huge mistake because it took alot to get him to latch back on when i decided to start nursing again. i would nurse him, top him off with a bottle, then pump the rest. all i got when i pumped is drops. i just dont respond to a pump (and many women dont). so i stopped pumping completely and just nursed and bottle fed. when i did pump without nursing i only made about 2oz total when my son took about 4oz. were still breastfeeding! but now we have slowly gone down to nursing about once or twice a day. lactation supplements and other things never helped with my supply issues so i stopped trying those but im so proud of where we are and how far weve come! the only issues ive had breastfeeding are just the supply issues but my son hasnt seemed to mind having to drink formula as well. i just wanted to say that every woman is different but it is possible to breastfeed after a reduction. it takes alot of hard work but its definitely worth it! but in the end fed is best <3 ill have to take some more current pictures of my scars and everything during the day to update yall on that later
I had a tummy tuck revision with a breast lift and a thigh lift and a revision done by Dr.Lemmon. I am not satisfied with any of them. He doesn’t provide proper after care and he does not follow through with any thing he says.
"Body lifts" refer to contouring procedures that treat the trunk circumferentially. In this respect, a tummy-tuck (abdominoplasty) is done in the front and the incision is carried around to the back to remove the excess skin and fat from the posterior trunk as well. Plastic surgeons have many names for these procedures, including body-lift, circumferential abdominoplasty, belt lipectomy, or lower body lift. Body lifts can often be safely done at the same time as a breast lift in many patients, but the decision to combine these two procedures needs to be balanced with patient safety and often depends on individual patient factors, including the anticipated length of surgery, medical history, and current BMI (body mass index). The best advice is to obtain a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon.
