CLAIM YOUR PROFILEIn my rhinoplasty practice we require a physical exam that is within 30 days of the surgery, and all tests are based on patients health status and age. Of course every medical center and physician has their own policies. If you are under 35 and have no history of medical problems you may not need anything more than just a physical exam by your primary care doctor. If above 40 we may have you get some basic blood work and an EKG. If however there is any history of heart disease or any other disease you may require a clearance from a sub specialist. Dr. Rousso performed scar removal surgery due to hypertrophic scarring after an otoplasty done by another surgeon. It was a straightforward procedure for me done under local anesthesia. My impression is that he is a very skilled surgeon with impressive attention to detail. Dr. Rousso was able to charge insurance so I did not pay anything out of pocket.
