You should not have the Geneveve procedure while breastfeeding. &nbsp;I would wait at least 2 months after completion of breast feeding prior to scheduling Geneveve.
While breast feeding, your estrogen levels are lower which contributes to vaginal dryness. &nbsp;Once you have completed breast feeding, the&nbsp;vaginal mucosa will return to normal estrogen status therefore making the Geneveve procedure more effective.

&nbsp;Keep in mind there are surgical risks with any procedure. &nbsp;A traditional vaginal repair performed without mesh can tighten the vagina but the procedure can also shorten the vagina. &nbsp;This could lead to pain with intercourse. &nbsp;Also, recurrence of pelvic&nbsp;prolapse a few years after the surgery&nbsp;is common. &nbsp;

34 years old. Been told by 4 doctors (urogyne) i have stage 1-2 cystocele 1-2 rectocele stage 1 uterine prolapse. One vaginal birth three years ago. Induced. Small cystocele started in 2013 though. Why are doctors telling me no surgery ? I have back pain and lower abdominal pain. It seems to me the prolapses are getting worse. I guess what is wrong with surgery if it bothers me and I want it fixed.

I would recommend&nbsp;waiting to have surgery to correct a cystocele/rectocele until a few months after you have stopped breast feeding.&nbsp; While breast feeding, your estrogen levels are lower which can contribute to vaginal dryness and vaginal atrophy.&nbsp; These conditions can make the surgery a bit more difficult.&nbsp; Also, if you are planning on having anymore children in the future, I would wait on having the surgery, &nbsp;as another vaginal delivery can contribute to more issues with pelvic relaxation.&nbsp;
