Just had my liposuction procedure done yesterday 12/18/2013. As of now, I'm still in pain and cannot take any pictures yet but will post some throughout next couple weeks. The procedure I went trough they called it Body Jet or water-assisted liposuction. And I chose this doctor because I saw a local Groupon deal first and went to a consultation on 12/6/2013. My husband went to consultation with me and I decided want schedule the procedure right there. I done some other forms of non-invasive procedure before like coolsculpting, zerona, and variety of laser or body wrap, or massage. Except the coolsculpting gave me some results on my belly fat. It cannot perform on my inner or outer thigh area or knees. And results were subtle even after two treatment. So after about half year research, I finally decide I want a liposuction done. My pre-op measurement is: Weigh: 145lb to 150lb Height: 5'7" Waist at belly button: 32" (I don't have procedure my belly just for my own reference) Thighs: 25" at the biggest on top. Hip: 41" (feel hard to find exact spot so I measure at the biggest point) Knee: 17" I do not work out at all, whenever I gain weight, it always more on my thigh area than my other body part. I'm 28 years old and seems to increase the weight for theses couple years. After the procedure, I had lots of draining. My husband put another linen on our bed just to avoid the excessive draining. It's blood like but little lighter, I think it's because the fluid they inject and they didn't put on sutures. Only the holes on my inner and outer knee area cannot stop bleeding. We are using pad not gauze because it just too much. When my husband helped me change it, the drain will go wet two paper towels in my feet for just two minutes. Basically just like dripping water, and I feel nausea and dizzy only when I change dressing. Not when I lying on bed. Here is the pre-op pictures and I trying to take them in the same distance in my bathroom so will know how the results progress. Also, English is not my first language so if something I write is hard to read, hope will not annoying others. I just found this site is very helpful when I research the procedure so I would like other people know the progress I went though and my experience. Hope can help someone that want to do liposuction in the future. Updated on 22 Dec 2013: I updated some pictures that I took two days after surgery. You can tell that there are lots of bruising and swelling. Especially on my left knee back. But I don't feel much pain and only took 3 pills of Hydrocodone total after surgery. Right now, I only take 1 tablets of Tylenol at night to help me sleep better. The surgery is on Wed and I can go out for dinner with my husband Friday night, so you can tell that there was not much pain to me. Also, we went to movie on Sat night. But for the first 48 hours, you definitely need someone help you change dressing and clean the site. Probably because some of my incision is on the back so there are no way I can reach it by myself. The photos are two days after surgery and right now it looks the same so there is no meaning I take more. But my next doctor app will be 12/30 (12 days after surgery) so I will do my next update after that with some more pictures to show. Hope by that time the bruising and swelling will go away a little bit. I will also ask my doctor whether I need schedule any massage or endermologie when I'm there. My doctor didn't suggest any before the surgery, but I read some reviews that said it might help if I have some lump or scar tissue, cannot really tell now.
The no neck look was creeping up. An older sibling had little neck. A god-send to have this done. Friends only notice that I've lost weight, which I haven't, actually. Working on that:) But they think I look great Yea! Worth every penny, and the time spent healing. A friend said that she knew someone who went back to work in a week. That would be pushing it. I had the time to heal longer, and was glad. Supportive family and a few select friends helped. All went smoothly except excessive swelling on a cheek. If the literature and all had warned me, I'd have been every more careful not to lean over far. I would have gone in to have that taken care of while they could, possibly. Healing was slower. But it's almost all gone now, as they reassured it would. Thank goodness for makeup. Yay! This is such an improvement on my appearance, especially from the side views.Updated on 24 Sep 2012:Almost 3 months later, no swelling, stitches barely show, but cover-up is easy. Not one friend who did not know about the surgery has questioned whether I had this done. I was surprised, honestly. But my husband assures me that t really is not obvious. Dr. Robledo did a great job. Friends do continue to exclaim that I look like I've lost weight and look good. (I have not yet lost any weight although I am back to jogging and tennis.) I feel great, and it is very nice to have these compliments! Someone here called their pre-surgery neck a turkey neck. Mine was more a big puffy neck. No more. The surgery continues to be well worth every penny, and the time it took to heal.Updated on 24 Sep 2012:I do still have a dark spot on my cheek, albeit much smaller, by my ear due to blood pooling that I mentioned before. On recheck, I was assured that it will continue to dissipate within 6 mt to a year. Make-up works fine. To me, a hiccup at this point.
I decided to have a Lifestyle Lift, and had a positive experience from the onset. The staff was so supportive and the surgery itself was a great success. I consulted with Dr. Robledo, waited another month until my weight loss goals was met, then came in for my procedure with full confidence. My recovery was smooth because I followed Dr. Robledo's careful instruction to the letter. Now I am 6 months out post procedure. I look 15 years younger, I feel 25 years younger an the attention I receive is priceless. I have a new found confidence that is worth every dime and can never thank Dr. Robledo enough for his skill and compassion.
The lift procedure took a couple of hours and 2 days to recover from the initial surgery. Ten days later the stitches were removed and I went to see a movie, dinner and some light shopping. Within 60 days I visited HI and went parasailing for the first time. I experienced very little to no pain with no complications. I am most pleased with the process and the people at LifeStyle Lift. They explained the risks before and after the procedure. While I understand everyone heels at a different pace, this is elective surgery done by professional doctors and as with any surgery there is no guarantee of the outcome. My experience was a very positive change in my life. After the Lift my friends commented on how great I looked however could not tell I had a lift. My scars were not noticeable unless I brought them to their attention. Again, everyone heels differently and should make an informed choice if this is the best way to address their appearance concerns. As for me and my results I could not be happier and more pleased with the staff, the doctor, my care and the results.
I'm approaching 58 yrs old. My mind and body were still in their 40's, but my face and neck appeared much older. Since I wanted everything to "match" I decided to call Lifestyle lift after seeing an ad on TV. I had my doubts and even canceled my appt. at one point but after giving it some thought, I figured..Gee, they can't make it any worse, can they? I am so pleased with the results. Sure, the first few weeks you're pretty swollen...My son said" Mom, you look freaky!" My head was shaped like a round ball sitting on my shoulders. But after the swelling went down, I was so HAPPY with the results. I can't begin to tell you what a difference it has made it my appearance AND confidence. If you are having any doubts about having this procedure done....DON'T...its well worth it. You will have no regrets.!!
I've been thinking about having my neck and jowls done for several years ... I'm nearly 58 and living with my Mom's legacy (love you, Mom) and it was making me look so much older than I felt otherwise. I didn't tell most friends that I was going to have it done ... after four weeks, I went to my Goddaughter's college graduation and spent four days with her Mom & Dad, my best friends in the world ... all she could say was, "how much weight did you lose," and "you look fabulous ... like you've lost ten years!" Well that was the perfect thing to hear ... it is so natural looking ... scars are beautifully healed ... the doc and staff were wonderfully supportive and very attentive ... calling me several times after the procedure ... I'm so glad I had it done ... I feel great and my husband LOVES it!!!
I will be 60 years old in July. I have had a 'turkey neck' and jowls for about 10 years and they have been getting worse every year. I realise some of it was hereditary. I wanted to improve my looks if at all possible. My son e-mailed me about Lifestyle Lift. I made an appointment and scheduled the surgery. I had checked locally and the price for facelift procedures was almost twice as much to start.I've read so many negative responses to this procedure since I've had it done. Maybe I was just lucky...who knows. But I am quite happy with the work that was done on me. I had a 46 year old woman actually thought I was in my mid forties. Wow! I knew the procedure helped pretty dramatically but that comment surprised even me! It made my day for sure!People talk of the pain. Well, I'll give them that. It was very painful the first two to three days. But then the pain diminished quickly. It was probably the third most painful thing I've done in my life. But I think it was worth it and worth the money I paid for it. It is a life changing event. My suggestion to anyone considering this procedure: If you seriously have issues with your facial appearance and seriously want to do something about it...by all means schedule it with Lifestyle Lift. But, be prepared for two to three days of intense pain! That of course will differ depending on the person...maybe I'm just a 'weenie'. The pain meds help, be sure to take them.I didn't find the surgery itself to be too painful. It was when the feeling started coming back, but this is the same of any injury. If you're not sure if your facial features are that bad or not, you may want to rethink this procedure a couple of time. It does hurt afterward for a while (as I said, two to three days). There's even some residual pain as feeling comes back to your face, but it's not that bad...it will subside. You may want to give yourself a full 2 weeks before returning to work. You can go sooner but you may feel uncomfortable. It takes some time for you face to resume a natural look as you skin stretches back to normal.I am very happy I did it. Make sure you really want it before you schedule it. It made a 15 year difference on me...I even feel younger! (go figure)I am sorry for the people who have had a bad experience. I don't know the statistics if that is the norm or not. But I am thrilled with the way mine turned out.
