I have been researching dental Implants for several years. I have been in contact with several dentist in the states as well as in Mexico. As expected the prices in the states were astronomical. During my search I came across medical tourism which led ne to Dental departures. I thought wow finally I can afford to get my mouth fixed. I was unsure about traveling for medical reasons so I kept researching. A family member suggested Realself for info on any procedures. I found this site to be very helpful in my research. Although I didn't find my Dr through the site, it has still proven to place with a wealth of information. So, I've pretty much decided to go with Dr Jose Moguel in Los Algadones. After watching his videos I felt comfortable enough to reach out. His Coordinator responded quickly and answered all of my questions. I'm just about ready to send my deposit to lock in my SX date of February 2, 2021. I'm so excited and ready to be able to fully chew my food and not be embarrassed to eat out. I'm sometimes grateful for having to wear masks as my partial no longer fit properly so I hide it. I like the way the teeth look on my partial so I'm hoping my finals will look similar. If anyone has seen Dr. Moguel I'd love to hear your experience.
It is not advisable to simply cement a denture back into place that has failed due to a loose dental implant post. The first step will be to diagnose why the 1 implant came loose since implants that get loose often fail and fall out. An implant that fails is not something that should get overlooked. It could be due to infection or due to lack of cleaning/maintenance and in some cases due to nicotine contamination. Ideally, you want to first treat the implant in question that caused the denture to fail. Cementing the denture back into place without addressing the implant that became loose will only temporarily solve the problem, and in a worst-case scenario, will cause the other implants to fail since the bite distribution will no longer be even in that denture since it no longer has the supporting implant.
Once your dental implants heal properly, there is no amount of biting force that will cause them to fail - assuming you are not biting solid objects such as metals or other hardened materials. When dental implants are loaded after the healing process is complete they rarely fail, most of the time when they do fail, is mostly due to lack of sanitation and has little to do with the actual implant or the crown. However, during my 20 year carrier as a dental implants specialist, and thousands of dental implants placed, I have discovered that over 80% of my patients who's dental implants fail, most claim (some even brag) that they had what is called "same day implants". These "same day" dental implants are rarely ideal for a patient and mostly represent a greater risk, often outweighing the benefit, due to the trauma placed on your implants because of the biting force being applied to them prematurely. A combination of factors may cause your implants to fail, but if there is a single factor that I can attribute most of the dental implant failures, it has to do with "premature dental implant loading."
