Amazing Dentist! Jorge R. Blanco, DDS gets 5 stars! He just fixed my broken veneer and I cannot thank him enough. As a Medical Doctor working here in Miami I will recommend him to friends and family. Here is my story. 10 days ago I decided to have my teeth cleaned. I went to dental office in North Miami on Biscayne Blvd, I was required to have over 20 dental x-rays and a visit by their dentist. Well that dentist said I had a cavity that needed to be filled, so I decided to have it done right away. I kept telling that dentist that the new filling made my bite feel different. I told him that my opposing teeth to the new filling were getting hit by the tooth with the new filling. That dentist tried and tried to correct it but then just told me to go home and see how it went. Then this morning at 12:15 AM it went really, really wrong. My opposing veneered tooth to the newly fixed cavity tooth broke off. I was so angry and upset because I told that dentist before he filled my tooth that I did not like having dental work because something always goes wrong for me. That dentist convinced me that he was good and that he knew what he was doing and that he would not cause me harm. I then began my search on-line to find a dentist that could help me. I only wanted the best and looked for cosmetic dentist within 50 miles of my place in South Beach. I searched and search seen tons of dentist with good review. Many of the dentist seemed like they were written by the dentist themselves or by the dentist friend. I then found Dr. Blanco thought the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry ("AACD"). The AACD has 6 categories of affiliated dentist that are listed from highest to lowest: (1)Accredited Fellow, (2) Accredited Member, (3) Accreditation Candidate, (4) Sustaining Member, (5) Participating Member, and lastly (6) General Member. The only top ranked dentist in my 50 mile search was Dr. Jorge R. Blanco. I then did research on Dr. Blanco and did not see many reviews but I like his smile make-over photos and patient comments from his website. I called their office at 11:30 AM and spoke with their scheduler who got me an appointment at 2 PM today. Wow! At the office the staff and Dr. Blanco were super friendly. I figured I would have to have new veneer placed but Dr. Blanco said we could try reattaching the large piece of veneer that broke off and make adjustment to my teeth to try to prevent the veneer from breaking off again. He worked on me for well over and hour and it cost less than three hundred dollars. Right now my bite feels back to the way it felt before Jan 15th. The teeth are not hitting together as the were after the other dentist messed up my bite. I cannot say enough about this dentist. Amazing job and not some other money hungry business like so many other places here in South Florida.
Your veneer preparations can be modified for a bridge. The extent of the preparation modification depends on how much of the original tooth was modified for the veneer. Material selection is important when we replace missing teeth. It is very important, therefore, that you have a conversation with your dentist and discuss the choice of materials and there benefits.
