To be honest i dont have a big face or have much bone to contour, i was looking to have facial harmony from my flat cheeks and i didnt like how pointy my chin gets when i smile, other clinic did suggest double jaw surgery as I was looking to have a shorter midface but thankfully Dr Park said i dont need it, he does double jaw surgery and he didnt think i would require such invasive surgery as double jaw surgery recovery is harder. • i got to know about Dr Park at 345 from an acquaintance and i found out the he was from Banobagi and recently opened up their own practice called 345 plastic surgery • clinic is really clean and i like the interior and the white aesthetics of the clinic. Even their rubbish bin is white • consultation wait time was longgg as clinic seemed really busy with both locals and foreigners • 345 have their own in house translator and doctors themselves speaks English. My interpreter Leah was with me throughout the consultation and surgery right til i enter the operating room so there wasnt a moment i felt i have miscommunication or trouble communicating with the nurses and coordinators ~ • i like how 345 emphasis on safety as health test is needed and i had to do mine 2x as i didnt have a nice result the 1st time around so my surgery had to be rescheduled until my test result came back good for the greenlight to proceed with the surgery. • Dr Park spoke perfect english and it was easy to communicate my thoughts to him. he took his time with me as well and the consultation lasted over 30 minutes showing me pictures and what he would do to my facial bone with my scans. He addressed something about my face that other doctors didnt so ultimately i chose Dr Park & Dr Han for my surgery. • I bumped into Dr Han during my first stitch removal and though i didnt have an appointment with him, he still came over to look at my healing and even though he was busy he still wanted to check on my progress which is really caring and genuine~ i cant wait to see my final results but recovery has been smooth and most importantly safe!
Hello luvs! I’m half Japanese half Korean living in Australia. 2 months ago I underwent few cosmetic operations in seoul and today I think it’s the right time to share my experience. Before operation I was informed about all dos/don’ts before even coming to Korea (things like no alcohol, cigarettes etc. for 2-3 weeks prior to my surgery day). Right after my consultation with Dr.Park I went through a complete medical checkup (since I made an appointment in advance, the surgery day was the next day after my actual consultation) and was instructed to start fasting at least 9 hours before the operation. The operation time was 10 in the morning, so my last meal and drink were at around 9pm. My operation I had to arrive to the hospital at least an hour earlier in order to have enough time to get prepared. I was shown my recovery room, given a robe and toiletries and met Dr.Park to discuss upcoming operation once again. Once I washed my face and changed clothes a nurse brought me to the operation room where several other nurses started to prepare me for the surgery. Anesthesiologist came in first and gave shot and while I was knocking out I saw Dr.Park entering the operation room. That was my last memory. Everything was over in the next 2-3 hours and when I woke up, there were only anesthesiologist looking at my condition and a nurse finishing dressing. In few minutes I was in my recovery room. My initial recovery If I can’t say much about the surgery itself, initial recovery was full of different feelings and emotions. Of course first few hours I felt absolutely nothing (I guess anesthesia was still working on me) but the first night was brutal. Lot of discomfort mixed with annoying pressure feeling and slight dull pain. By next morning my face was about to burst. It was very swollen and the situation didn’t change up to day 4. After about a week I tried to go out as often as it was even possible and walked a lot. Only after week 2 when stitches were removed swelling finally began to go down. From week 2 to current I stayed few more weeks in Seoul and came back to Australia just few days ago. Up to now I have to keep an eye on what I eat. Since my bone is still in a process of healing, it’s utterly important not to strain muscles and don’t eat too solid foods. As for swelling, I can’t say that it’s completely gone but the result looks way better that the first 2 weeks. Catch few of my photos here to take a look. Updated on 29 Sep 2019: I know how important and difficult it is to find credible reviews when you are looking for a clinic to undergo any cosmetic surgery. Thus today I want to share my results 3 months after. I’m not saying that I’m totally healed or that my results are final. I do realize that 3 months isn’t enough but so far, I’m so happy with how it came out and everyone around me keep saying how beautiful I look now. Swelling is very minimal for the moment so I don’t think the result would change a lot. I see a huge difference and I’m so happy as Dr.Park definitely exceeded all my expectations. I’m beyond satisfied and have no regrets.
Since my jaws were too wide, the face looked too big making my eyes and nose look much smaller than they were and I’ve never heard anyone saying that I’m a good looking, literally NEVER! Boys at school even gave me a nickname “sunken” because of my low nose bridge and that bothered me the most. I used to have some functional problems because of my jaws and was planning to fix it but double-jaw didn’t make my nose appear “normal”, so rhinoplasty I proceeded few months after. When I was searching for a PS to get my jaw problem fixed, the main concern for me was safety and risks. I finally decided to go to Seoul and chose Banobagi PS. My double jaw was performed by Dr. Park but for rhino I came to Dr. Kim. My droopy nose was corrected with my ear cartilage. Recovery after rhino was even worse than after double-jaw. I couldn’t breathe properly, so a nurse had to suction my nose every 10 mins. The next morning I was let to go home. Major swelling was gone in 3 weeks or so but the tip was numb few more months. For those of you who still have concerns about safety and risks a plastic surgery carries, be brave! I’ve been suffering from mockeries for the most of my life and that dramatically affected my relationships with girls but now, I feel much confident.
Although, long hair helped to make my face look a bit slimmer, asymmetry in the lower part always remained quite obvious. Frankly speaking, I was a bit afraid of proceeding any bone shaving surgery, since it’s very risky, so I searched for a surgeon and ps a LOT! I got several consultations, some places I visited even twice but decided to have my surgery done at Banobagi PS. My problem #1 was face, so I got chin surgery with jaw and zygoma reduction, my surgeon was dr.Park . My problem #2 was in my eyes: dark circles with eyebags made me look tired ALWAYS, I was also worrying about asymmetry, but my eye surgeon dr Hyuntaek Lee said that it’s not a big deal and suggested to proceed undereye fat reposition only. And that was what I liked about Banobagi the most – no pushing, no rushing, no pressure and no conviction in surgeries you don’t really need. I was very nervous about my upcoming transformation, couldn’t even eat those 2 gap-days before the surgery, but time flew very fast from the moment I get into the operation room. When I woke up from anesthesia, the very first feeling I remember was pain… head and chin. I took painkillers and hoped to sleep so the time goes faster, but I couldn’t. Few hours later I was given some water and ice packs, I was told to eat something, but had no appetite. I prayed for the time goes faster and I have to admit it, the first day was really hard! The next 3-4 days swelling became even worse and on top of that I also got some troubles with breathing, so I felt super uncomfortable. By the end of the first week I felt a bit better. Have to point the post op care at Banobagi here as it was super cool! I got a really good keratin and anti swelling massage, and do believe in terms of getting rid of swelling it helped a lot. I felt better and better each day after the second week of my recovery and by the 3 month I looked and felt absolutely normal. Now it’s been over half a year already and I’m totally in love with the results I got. I know I’ve changed a lot and yet my face looks very natural (well… that’s what my friends saying). I’m infinitely grateful to both dr Park and dr Lee for giving me such an amazing result.
I had sliding genioplasty and jaw reduction done about 2 months ago and I’m still swollen and at a certain point unsure if there is any difference between before the op and now, yet my surgeon keeps saying to be a bit more patient and wait at least when swelling goes down. I wanted my lower face be as natural after the surgery but at the moment the swellings are covering my jaw which I’ve asked dr Park . He said that it will need more time to let the swellings go away as the surgery has been done successfully. I guess I’ll have to wait a bit more as the doctor said since he said the surgery went very good and healing was pretty quick tho. I also got a bit asymmetrical lips, so that obvious scar from my left side on my upper lip has nothing to do with bone shaving part. In general, I think the surgery was successful. Thanks God I have no complications and no nerves were damaged so far. My chin was numb till maybe last week when I first felt slight tingling, few days later I felt how much I want to itch it and by this time I think about 80% of numbness is already gone. I’ll wait a bit more and if I still see no changes, most probably I’ll consider a revision surgery. Updated on 23 Jul 2019: It's been 5 months already since I wrote my last review and so many things happened but time flew so fast and I got a feeling like it was just yesterday when I was worrying about my results lol. Dr Park was 100% right. At first I thought that he didn’t cut enough of my bone but that was only swelling. And the result looks very natural just as I wanted. So far, I’m beyond satisfied with what was done on my face and truly speaking, I didn’t believe that once swelling goes down my results would look better. I asked to cut as much of my bone as possible and wanted a maximum natural outcome at the same time, I think that was quite a challenge for him hopefully he understood what I wanted.
I think no need to explain the reason of my surgery as it was very obvious. I was always extremely conscious about the asymmetric and ugly face shape. To say that I was waiting for this surgery my entire life is like to say nothing. To improve the shape of my face was all I ever wanted. For me, my new face and confidence cost all the pain and discomfort I went through. I used to take so many pics and choose which one was the best (and sometimes there were none) but now, I can’t even decide which one looks worse. I can’t describe how happy I’m now and how grateful I’m to both dr Park Jong Lim and banobagi clinic for making me look perfect. I love my results and have no regrets about my choice.
I’m 3 months after a cosmetic surgery at banobagi clinic with dr. Park. I’m not sure if I’m satisfied with the result, yet I’m noticing lot of changes. I can see that my cheeks became a bit smaller and my facial lines are smoother now. You can see that my face is still swollen, but I feel quite good. Lot of my friends asked me about pain and I guess, everyone who’s planning a bone cutting surgery concerns about it. Well, I don’t feel any for the moment and frankly speaking, didn’t actually feel any at all. The only thing that still bothers me a lot is that I can’t eat whatever I want. The assistant at banobagi said that my mouth will restore all functions within 2 months, but I still can’t fully open it or chew something really hard like nuts. Overall, the rehab goes quite easy. Updated on 10 Feb 2019: So, it’s been 4 months already, time flies fast. I’m still a bit unsure about the result. I was afraid that something serious was damaged during the surgery as I had some troubles with opening my mouth, so the last week I contacted dr. Park’s assistant and she reminded me about exercising which I totally forgot to do. I did exercise the first few weeks and when saw improvements became too lazy to continue and that was the biggest mistake of mine. Now I’m exercising my mouth as much as I can and also doing some facial massage. Swelling is almost gone and I can see how the shape of my face keep changing every day. Updated on 11 Mar 2019: Swelling is totally gone and results now are much more noticeable. My cheeks are finally no longer wide and face looks slimmer with which I’m undoubtedly satisfied. After exercising my mouth for about a week, I could finally fully open it and by now I can eat everything I want and even nuts or apple without cutting it. So far so good. I’m very thankful to dr. Park and his assistant for helping me all this time. Updated on 8 Jul 2019: I think it’s been a while from my last update, so I don’t think I look different after proceeded surgeries, I think I look much prettier – got the result I was striving to and like it a lot. The main lesson I was taught is to follow doctor’s instructions, especially after surgery. Hopefully, now everything is good and I’m enjoying every day. I can’t say that my confidence was low before the operation or I felt ugly, no. This cosmetic surgery for me was just a proof that there are no limits to look perfect.
Hi everyone! My name is Alma and I’m from Los Angeles. I came to Banobagi Hospital which is in Seoul for angular jaw and chin reduction. My face was very rounded and I know my surgery wasn’t a necessity but for me it was a crucial decision, all changes were meant to be a more aesthetic improvement. The staff at Banobagi Hospital was really nice with me. They informed me on everything – what was going on, what’s gonna to be done and most importantly, what I needed to be done. My surgeon was Dr. Park, very kind and patient. My consultation with him was very informative, I think it’s really great to understand the surgery from doctor’s perspective which was explained in a very clear and understandable language. I’ve never dealt with general operations under anesthesia before and that was my first experience with plastic surgery as well but I think everything was very good so far. Before proceeding the surgery I already knew what to expect and now it’s the 2 month of my recovery and things seem to be quite satisfied. I’m still a little swollen, but it goes down by the end of the day. I was told that by the 4 month everything is gonna be just as it was before the surgery, so I’m expecting to fully recover in the next 3 months. Updated on 27 Feb 2019: I’m not sure if 4 months are enough for a complete recovery but results seem to be very good. No swelling at all, only in the morning and only eyes and undereye zone, the rest looks beyond satisfied. I think with proceeded surgeries I look more attractive therefore became more confident. Very happy with my results.
It’s been 2 months since my surgery and results keep on getting better and better. Although, it was quite complicated surgery, I was able to get back to work in 3 weeks. I’m still a bit swollen but the healing process seems to be ok. The first 2 weeks were the hardest, I had to get accustomed to swelling and discomfort, disability to chew and yawn. Hopefully, now I feel way better. I’m a bit concerned about skin sagging tho as have seen many people complaining about it, hope everything is gonna be alright. All incisions were made inside my mouth, so no visible signs of proceeded operations on my face. I had a very heavy lower jaws with wide chin and from what I can see now, the shaving part was done beautiful and not overdone. I want to see my final results asap but doc Park asked to be a bit patient, so I’ll try to keep my review updated. Updated on 20 Jan 2019: Things are starting to get much better. I feel great and swelling seems to go down a bit more, so the result now is more noticeable. I’m very happy as I think I found the best place and surgeon to proceed my operations. Also, wanted to leave few words about doc Park Jonglim . He was very patient and honest with me. I had a lot of questions during our consultation and he didn’t spare his time answering absolutely all of them. The only thing that I didn’t like was a necessity to stay in the hospital overnight, but eventually I understood that it was even for better. A nurse checked with me every 3-4 hours and doc Park drop by my recovery room next morning to check my condition. Their care of me was really sweet. I was worrying about skin sagging (actually I’m still a bit worrying about it) but doc Park promised none and I rely on his professionalism. Everything looks and feels pretty good so far :) Updated on 20 Feb 2019: It’s been 4 months already! I’m infinitely happy with the result I have now. Best experience with plastic surgery for me so far. My ability to chew and open my mouth has been fully restored, no swelling or sagging at all, which really pleases me. I like the results very much and I think it couldn’t be even better. Thank you very much doc Park and all your staff!
Remember like now how exited I was about proceeding the surgery. I’ve been planning it for years, fitting different surgeons and hospitals. And I’m so lucky that Dr. Park Jonglim from BANOBAGI Plastic Surgery was able to perform it. I had my surgery done in September 2016 and today it’s been already almost 2 years. As said dr. Park the surgery went just as planned and recovery was with no complications, pretty fast and easy. Swelling, however, the first few weeks was literally insane. Hopefully, I didn’t feel any pain and didn’t need to take any painkillers. I was able to get about two weeks off from home and stayed all the time in Seoul. Everyone at work keep saying me how wonderful I look lately but no one doesn’t have a clue about proceeded surgeries. My main goal was to have a v-shaped chin and slimmer face and dr. Park perfectly helped me. My experience with both dr. Park and BANOBAGI has been very positive from very beginning to the very end. It definitely worth every cent I spent for the surgery. Also, some people have asked me about skin sagging but I didn’t experience any. Dr. Park is an exceptional and professional with elegant sense of female beauty. He’s also extremely experienced and answered all my questions. because doc spoke English almost fluently that translator wasn’t necessary when I was communicating with him, I didn’t feel any barrier.
