I wanted to get more fat removed from some stubborn areas and decided to try AirSculpt. This was the worst decision I've ever made. I went in for abdominal area, and they said I had mostly skin but they could do my flanks, under my chin, banana rolls and knees, I got the quote and went home to think about it. Updated on 27 Feb 2024: I decided to do it. $14000 covered my flanks/back, knees, banana rolls, and under my chin. They told me two weeks and I will be back to normal which is great because I have a vacation in a month to Hawaii that I was worried about and they assured me I had plenty of time to recover. June 2022 I had the “procedure” this is however a surgery, just one you are awake for but this was not non-invasive… it was awake but numb liposuction. It was uncomfortable and a little stressful but I got through it… the next three days were rough. I was black and deep purple blue all over. Very swollen and sore. I followed all instructions but at a week post procedure I could tell something was wrong with my banana roll area. One side was creased over like my butt cheek fell down. Meanwhile during my Hawaii trip I had to wear long shorts to cover the mess of bruises and was still sore. My knees looked terrible and I had to cover them with body makeup and skip wearing a swimsuit in Hawaii. So depressing. I let them know of my concerns and they said that it will be fine with time as I am still swollen and healing. To wait 3 months before making any judgments. I asked why the other side didn’t look like that then and they just said to wait. So it did… At my 3 month follow up, I showed the nurse and Dr Pierce. The nurse was nice and acknowledged my concerns, but Dr Pierce denied any concerns and simply stated that the result I got is the result I asked for…. Believe me, I did not ask for an uneven result with one collapsed butt cheek and one with dents. And funny enough the other areas showed no significant change whatsoever, but at that point I was thankful that the other areas weren’t “botched” I wish this turned out no results everywhere compared to botched results, but no such luck for me. I repeated that I was unhappy with the crease and that it didn’t look right. He was irritated and unfriendly with me and simply said well in 3 month months if you want a revision we can look at it then…. I left pretty upset. At home I was devastated and crying what had I done to my body and how will I get it fixed. A few weeks went by and I did some research and visited 3 other plastic surgeons to get their opinions and suggestions on what could be done to fix it. Not one doctor said it looked normal. Each said they took far too much out and fixing it could be multiple surgeries. Some doctors wouldn’t even consult me because they don’t “fix” other doctor’s work. All this looked to be very expensive and time consuming, not to mention risky and no guarantee that I would be 100% back to normal. I called elite back and said I was done with Doctor Pierce and wanted to see a different doctor about my options for revision. I saw Dr Stutman. He was much nicer and treated me with respect. He said he would be able to take some fat from another site on me and transfer it to the dent on my right banana roll/buttcheek and try to fill the crease a little on the left. He said up front the crease will not be gone just less prominent. I tried to ask why we can’t fill it completely back or try to “feather it out” and he was honest and said he isn’t able to do that. And suggested a reconstruction specialist if that is the route I wanted. The revision that Dr Stutman did was complimentary and I figured no one wanted me happy more so than the place that screwed up on me in the first place, so I scheduled with Dr S. To revise the mess Dr P. Left we with. Same process of being awake but less bruising and pain however took 6 weeks to fully recover…. I can’t believe they tell people 2 weeks, this is a total lie. After 3 months my crease still looked about the same and my dent was filled in almost too much, Dr S. Offered to take a tiny bit out to smooth the lump which we did and that was it, they could no longer help me. Dr S suggested I try to accept it as it is because it “isn’t terrible “ I think he was trying to be nice but I saw it as a deformed collapsed buttcheek. And I see it every day and in every outfit. But I tried to live with it for over a year. And just couldn’t. I began searching for a surgeon who could help. I am just so disappointed in Elite. At this point if they can’t fix their mistakes they should offer to pay for someone who can or at the very least refund every penny I spent with them because it is just terrible. I am getting quotes for $18k-$60k to get this fixed. And the time and pain of recovery from yet another surgery is huge as well. I really wish I could go back in time and tell myself to never get anything done at Elite Body Sculpture.
Ok, I already have implants 11 years they were 250C filled to 285C. I am 5'4" was 110 now 98 so I have lost weight. I have an awkward shapped chest. I have been DX'd with breast cancer and elected to have a double mastectomy. My breast tissue is very dense. I actually wore Platex " Nearly "A",, which is basically training bra's for a 35 year old. I only wanted to go a little bigger till this weekend when I was at a part for my best friend and her daughter was there. Her daughter is small like me had her boobs done, they looked AWESOME felt so real hers were 425C and I thought they were real, everything about her body-breast size was just like mine Small nippples, areolas chest size, I thin she has about 10-20 llbs on me but other wise she is built like me. I am going to call my platic surgeon since they plan on doing most of all the surgery and recontruction at the same time I want to go 400-425. I am going to be 50 this year. the ones i have are 11 years old so it is time fo a UPGRADE, yea it SUCKS for the reason i have to get an upgrade, but i dont have to pay for it, ever since I had them done 11 years ago I wish i went bigger so NOW .... I AM GOING BIGGER..... you only live ONCE, GET WHAT YOU WANT !! THIS IS ON MY BUCKET LIST !!!!
Unfortunately, breast lift is usually not covered by most insurance companies for any indication. This is not considered "medically necessary". Breast reduction may be covered but a certain amount of tissue has to be removed and specific symptoms such as back and neck pain must be present. Most patients that have lost weight only need a lift and sometimes an inplant to correct sagging.
If someone is offering to repair both earlobes for $400, I would be suspicious. This is a complicated repair, especially with gauges. Make sure whoever you go to is board certified and don't just go to the cheapest guy in town.
Most mastopexy procedures leave some type of scar. The minimum scar would be around the areola but most of the time, a scar from the areola to the crease is required. "Suture marks" are usually not an issue as deep absorbable sutures don't leave marks. The result of a lift is to move the nipple/areola back to its normal position and reshape the breast to make it more "perky".
