Healing regeneration rate varies among patients. Your symptoms would still be consistent with a normal reaction after treatment. You should notify your doctor prior to your third appointment, but I suspect that they would still proceed. Always discuss any issues or concerns with your physician.

There is no evidence that this treatment would cause vaginal infection, however it could cause worsening. The physician should make sure that the patient does not have an infection at the time of the procedure. I would suggest that any patient experiencing symptoms before her appointment should make sure that her doctor is aware. 

Currently there is no Insurance plan that covers Mona Lisa Touch treatments. This is unfortunate because the treatment is very effective and gives relief to several vaginal medical issues. Our practice is happy to offer options for payment.

The great thing about this procedure is there is absolutely no down time! Once you leave our office, you can go about your business comfortably. I have had patients tell me they left my office and went grocery shopping immediately afterwards. One might feel a bit of discomfort, which varies from person to person. Normally there should be no bleeding or discharge. You simply want to keep the area clean with a mild cleanser and moisturize, if needed.  

Unfortunately no, insurance at this time will not cover this procedure. We are hoping in the future it will as insurance companies see the benefit vs. costs associated with pills and creams and also take into account the patients' well-being and comfort. Our office does offer Care Credit and patients can also use their health savings account to pay for the procedure.
