Dr. Eggleston surpassed my expectations. I had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in 2015. I was referred to another doctor highly recognized in the community. I expected the best outcome. Well six surgeries and a really bad case of sepsis later I still had a frankenboob. I reached out to a friend who had gone through the same thing she highly recommended doctor Eggleston. Dr. Eggleston is the guy you want in your corner. He goes above and beyond to get the very best outcome possible! Since I've had so many surgeries my case was not easy. The scar tissue, a flap from my latissimus, extremly thin skin was a challenging surgery. But the results after just one surgery are truly amazing. My breast now looks like a breast again. I look better than I ever imagined! I actually look better! Really!!! I am amazed at the outcome. Dr Eggleston listens, explains throughly the options. He really personalizes the surgery to you. Answers all questions and makes sure the treatment plan will have the best results and that you are comfortable with the process. I have to mention his office staff. They made sure everything went as planned as far as the insurance, hospital etc...it was seemless. These ladies are rock stars! I really can't say enough about Dr. Eggleston, he truly cares about his patients. I highly recommend him. Updated on 29 Nov 2019: My body looks and feels like me again. I no longer am living with frankenboobs. Dr John Eggleston is an extremely talented Micro Surgeon. He took ALL of the scar tissue, thin skin, and my misshapen breast and sculpted them into works of art! I never thought I would look 'Normal' again. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Eggleston and his team. After all the surgeries and pain I went through with previous doctor... These amazing results were honestly unexpected but welcomed!!! Dr Eggleston gave me my life back. I will be forever grateful.
I had a brachioplasty done by Dr. Eggleston. I'd lost a lot of weight and my arms looked like bat wings. I'd had a prior surgery with him as a Kaiser doctor. My previous experience with him was wonderful, considering it was major surgery, so I had him reduce my arms with lipo and do the arm lift, once I did my due dilligence on the research for this type of procedure. I didn't have any pain to speak of from the arm lift. Just kind of tight around the arms and a little pressure. I recovered well. It took a few weeks to get my range of motion back. I took it easy carrying and lifting things for a couple months. I love how my arms turned out. I fit well in shirts and I wore short sleeve t-shirts all summer last year. I just wore a gown to a wedding that showed off the size of my arms and I got lots of compliments. I don't care about the scar. It's been a lot of work to lose this weight and the trade off of scar for loss of batwings is well worth it to me. I'm a photographer and lift my arms to bring the camera up and I didn't like how my arms felt prior to the arm lift. Now I don't even think about it. I can now just focus my attention on my subjects and work when I lift my camera to my face. Dr. Eggleston is a teacher at heart. He knows how to explain procedures and results in a manner that's almost artful. He also has an incredible sense of humor. The only bummer about my surgery is that the anesthesiologist put me under and I missed out on hanging out with both doctors. The anesthesiologist he used was really sweet. Both times I've awoken from surgery, Dr. Eggleston has been there making sure I was doing well with pain management and taking immediate action to make me comfortable.
I am considering having the all on 4 procedure done at the Clear Choice in Austin. Has anyone else been there? How was you're experience? So far, I just did the free consult and iCat. Plan on getting a few more opinions before I make a final decision. I'm hoping to have the procedure done sometime in August.
Healthy tissue should not suffer recurrent infections. Do you still have implants material in your breasts? The first step in getting rid of chronic infections is to remove any nonviable tissue, scar tissue, and/or foreign material. Then it is time to allow your body to recover fully. If you wish another shot at reconstruction, you should proceed with autologous (using your own tissue) reconstruction rather than another try at implants. Look for a local breast reconstruction specialist who does this kind of tissue reconstruction. It is the mainstay of our practice here in Austin, Texas.
