I’ve been considering this procedure for as long as I can remember really noticing my nose, and I’ve finally decided to go through with it.
I’ve booked my appointment for December 17th with Dr. Keohane- will be adding photos and updates soon

My surgery is tomorrow at 11am (I bumped it up due to finals), and I’m really nervous.
The other day I tried to switch my procedure to just a septoplasty, not because I don’t want a new nose, but just out of sheer worry for the outcome.
When I showed up at the office, they told me that it wouldn’t be as simple as just changing it, especially so close to the day of- which I sort of expected. So I talked with Dr Keohane, and he ran me through the procedure again and reassured me. I made the decision to continue with the procedure, but he had me think it over and confirm with the office manager the next morning anyway. For now I’m trying to distract myself, but I’m also sort of glad that it’s coming up so soon, so that I can just get the worrying over with

I guess I could have added this to my last review, but here are the “before” photos of my nose as my surgery is in just over 12 hours.
My main problem was the projection of my nose- it’s a bit “taller” than I’d like with a slight bump, and not feminine enough for my liking. Dr Keohane also mentioned that the tip could be more refined, which I agreed with.
I also have a deviated septum which will be fixed, and which will assist the structure of my nose.

Healing is going okay so far.
Yesterday I took the packing out of my nostrils (similar to small tampons), and I felt so much better.
I still have a fair amount of stuffiness, and swelling is more pronounced underneath my eyes today, but I’ve been slacking a little bit on applying ice to my face- it’s difficult for me to ice more than 30 seconds at a time, as I’m quite sensitive to cold. However I’m trying to work my way up to 15 minutes of ice every hour in smaller increments.
The pain hasn’t been terrible (prescribed pain medication is definitely enough), so it’s mostly just moderate discomfort.
Today I’m feeling well enough to do some studying for final exams, despite the medication, which is definitely a plus.

Hi everyone, I’m so sorry for the delay!
I’ve been sort of pondering what to do here, as my surgeon actually requested that I don’t post any photos online of my nose afterwards. The nurse explained that he doesn’t find it “professional”, but honestly I’m so ecstatic about my results, it’s hard not to post here.
I’m going to post a progression of my immediate post up photos for now, just so everyone can see how I looked throughout the healing process, while I consider what to do about posting the final results. (But, again, I am completely pleased so far with how everything turned out and I’m so glad that I went through with the procedure.)
