I would highly recommend Dr. Cassel. He was able to artfully and successfully renew/repair my look. I had two very uneven and unsightly breasts following prior implant removal due to infection. I underwent two surgeries, one with temporary expander implants and then one for the silicone implants.
In 1999 I had a colon resection and over time the muscles just kept separating leaving me with a terrible bulge. So on 4-4-12 I had a tummy tuck. Dr. Cassel sewed my muscles back together and I love love the results. I have to say it was not a fun recovery, at least the first month, but worth it in the end. Since Dr. Cassel did such a great job I decided to have a facelift and lower eyelids done. This was a much easier recovery and again great results. I am finished with my "to do " list but would not hesitate one moment to go back to Dr. Cassel.
A large hole was left in the left side of my nose when the cancer was removed by a Dermatologist/Surgeon so repair was definitely needed and Dr. John Cassel was consulted and agreed to perform the surgery. He deftly cut skin from my left cheek and folded it over to cover the hole left by my previous surgery. He then stretched the skin on my cheek to cover the skin moved and stitched it in the vertical wrinkle on my face to hide any scarring.
I was living overseas and was referred to Dr. Cassel for reconstruction surgery by my oncologist after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Obviously, I was emotionally distraught at realizing I had to undergo a double mastectomy, but Dr. Cassel saw me immediately and spent at least 2 hours explaining the various procedures that could be done, including the pros and cons and risks of each one. He was extremely caring and understanding and made me feel completely at ease. I was alone and had to make my decision quickly. He answered my calls personally and even three years later, he keeps in touch by email. I was amazed at his workmanship and my doctors in Canada all comment on what a fabulous job he has done with my reconstruction. I had four surgeries in total (including scar revision and skin graphs for nipple reconstruction) and each time I felt confident in his abilities. He explained everything to me and I knew I was in good hands. Even the OR nurses confirmed I had a great surgeon, one nurse had also been his patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Cassel.
I decided to go forward with a breast augmentation because I lost a considerable amount of breast tissue after both of my children were born, and therefore, lost the natural shape of my breast. I am about 5'9" with a very petite and slender frame. I felt since my breasts were practically nonexistent after my two children were born, that it accentuated my thin frame and left me feeling less feminine. Dr. Cassel and I decided silicone implants would be the most natural option for my body and desired results, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.
I'm 60 years old and was successful in losing a lot of weight. That left me with draping chin and neck skin. Now 5 weeks after the procedure I've been told I look 40-45 years old. Dr. Cassel is kind and thoughtful and an excellent doctor. If you didn't know me before you would never know I had surgery. Updated on 14 Feb 2014: Adding photos Updated on 14 Feb 2014:
This surgery was required as a result of a ruptured implant that was installed many years ago.. After an initial examination, Dr. Cassel determined that there were real issues my reconstructed breast as well as the ruptured implant in my normal breast. Both saline implants were replaced with silicone implants and additional work to make both breast look good and to be positioned correctly was done. All aspects of the preparation, surgery, recovery and follow up were exceptional. Dr. Cassel is a true surgical artist.
I needed to dispose of the eye bags due to urgent health reasons. The right side eye one was the worse because the lead and the eye lashes got into the white inside of the eye and scratched it. My eye doctor insisted on me having done the operation so I looked for the best surgery available in Florida.
Dr. John Cassel is the finest and most precise plastic surgeon I have ever used. My face lift was painless, my recovery was brief, and most of all, I look completely natural and beautiful. No one knows that I have had plastic surgery but I am constantly complemented on how great I look. Don't even consider any other surgeon!!!! Updated on 17 Nov 2013: Healing fabulously with absolutely no pain!
I choose to have Rhinoplasty and Breast Augmentation, over 15 years ago... I had no tell, tell signs; no scarring; visually and by touch, you could not tell they were enhanced! I raved so much about him that my cousin just had a tummy tuck and breast enhancement with amazing results! She did a picture spread 2months later in a bikini. I am now going to be returning because I have had children since, but I am in very capable hands! I cannot wait to see results. I just want to return to my old self and stop hiding in my husbands shirts and big sweats!!! P.S. I also appreciated having to stay overnight at Baptist hospital w/very close monitoring and waking up to Dr. Cassel at my bedside!!.
I recommend a product called Biocorneum wihch is a silicone based coating for scar management and contains a sun block as well. It is used sparingly alon g the length of the scars and can be used when the steristrips are removed. Most plastic surgeon's offices carry this product or a similar one. I find this product works nicely and has the advantage of having a sun block as well. It comes as a gel rather than a plastic sheet and is easily applied.
This may be postoperative swelling combined with a dissection under the muscle that came close to the midline allowing elevation of the cleavage. There is nothing to do at the moment. You can expect a reduction in size with the resolution of the operative swelling over the next few weeks. At that point it may be satisfactory, but if additional surgery is necessary to reduce the implant size, it should be done after full healing and resolution of the swelling.
There are many reasons to be on blood thinners. With the agreement of your medical doctor, I would have you discontinue the blood thinners for at least 7 days and not resume until 7 days after surgery. I do not use Lovenox with cosmetic patients, but I do ambulate the patients early and vigorously, especially when the surgery is in the area of the pelvis. I do not operate around the pelvis on patients with history of thrombophlebitis or pulmonary embolus.
You do have tubular breasts. The bases are quite constricted and there is a wide flat space between the breasts. This is difficult to correct and is one of the few times I would put an implant above the muscle. A concentric or doughnut mastopexy may be needed in conjunction with augmentation. It is occasionally necessary to undergo a second surgery to further augment or shape the breasts as this is some times difficult to correct in one procedure.
When you say right, I am not sure if you shot the photo directly or in the mirror. Nevertheless, I do not see a dogear on either side. I do see some fullness of the upper flap on one side which, at three weeks, would not concern me. After three months, the contour above and below the scar should be smooth. If not, think about a touchup scar revision or liposuction at about six months.
