The infini device is radiofrequency energy delivered into the skin via very thin microneedles. The doctor is able to chose the depth of the needles to allow for better treatment of various types of scars as well as fine lines and wrinkles. We have had this device in our Miami office for about one year and have seen improvement in many of the types of acne scars that you discuss. We have even seen good results in those patients that have already had several sessions of fractional laser. I consider the Infini an excellent treatment option for acne scars. 

The good news is that the injector used juvederm, which is reversible with hyaluronidase. Little bumps, although rare in the hands of skilled injectors, can be normal clumping of the material after injection. These should completely resolve within a few weeks. If the bumps are still visible/obvious after this period, then find someone very experienced and qualified to dissolve the material. 

Currently there are many fillers that are safe and effective for treatment in and around the lips. Fillers made of hyaluronic acid are the ideal choice for the lips because they are soft and natural looking. In addition to their smooth tecture- they also have an excellent safety profile and can be dissolved in the case of an emergency or if a patient decides they don't want the filler anymore. 
Juvederm ultra, restylane and belotero are all soft hyaluronic acid fillers that can be used in this area. More than product choice, injection technique is really what sets apart a good lip from an over injected, unnatural looking lip. Injecting the lip is a true art and you should use an experienced cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Making a natural looking lip requires a lot more skill than filling a nasolabial fold. 
Great news for lips: Restylane silk was recently cleared by the FDA for use in the lip. This product is already available in some specialized offices, but will be widely available in 2015.
