I have always had bigger arms, ever since I was young! Not necessarily fat just big and strong. I didn't take much notice of them until I gained a little weight. When that happened my arms seemed to be get even bigger in comparison to the rest of me the largest part measuring 36cm. I decided to change my lifestyle and I ended up loosing 7kgs and 42cms and wearing an Australian size 8! I was extremely happy but my arms only lost 3cm, which is good but not as much as I had hoped. It was the only part of my body I didn't like I was so self conscious making sure I only stood certain ways for photos etc. and only wearing certain clothes. I starting researching liposuction but was scared off by the cost and the pain and recovery time. I then saw coolscuplting was an option for me. Describing that it's perfect for stubborn fat that doesn't change with exercise. I found Joanna Teh and went and met with her for a consult. She was extremely welcoming and positive, after discussing my concerns she measured me up and I just made the cut to be able to have cool sculpting. I booked in for a couple of weeks time. I arrived nervous for the procedure, she instantly calmed me down by talking through the procedure. When my first arm went into the machine is was a weird sucking sound and then cold! This part didn't hurt at all, it was on for one hour, I sat and watched a tv series on my iPad. When it was time to come off I was definitely ready, coming off it was fine and was so strange looking at this cold hard lump on my arm. Then the pain started, the sensation coming back and yes I nearly fainted haha! But I faint at everything. It only last a couple of minutes (thank you to the lovely Joanna for looking after me here) For the next arm I laid down and was much more comfortable, being prepared meant that the second one was no where near as bad. I drove home straight away. There was no pain just numbness and warmth. I normally bruise really easily so was expecting some bad bruises but they never came, the worst part was right near my armpits (photos attached) this was very easy to hide. The numbness lasted about a week and then exactly a week after I was woken in the night by pains in my arms but it didn't last long. During exercise is when I noticed it the most, it wasn't painful just strange. I didn't really notice any changes until 6 weeks when I started seeing my muscles coming through and seeing a difference in photos and I had lost another cm. now it's been 3 and a half months and I just went back to see Joanna. I have lost another 3cm from my arms and my muscles are looking fabulous. I feel fabulous. Joanna is amazing and I highly recommend her and the Dermedica team for any Perth people. She makes it easy and reasonable and is very comforting! *note I did not lose any weight since the procedue Updated on 15 Oct 2015:
