Congratulations on the birth of your daughter and thank you for your question! I recommend that you seek out an EarWell physician who can assist you with treatment as soon as possible. The EarWell Infant Ear Correction Device is definitely an option to correct both the curly part of your daughter's helical rim (the outside curve of the ear), plus the conchal crus (the horizontal strip of raised cartilage in the centre of the ear). Because the EarWell device is most effective in the first days or weeks of life it is important to seek an appointment as soon as you can, because delaying treatment will reduce the effectiveness of treatment and will increase the length of time that the ear molding needs to be conducted for. Good luck with your search.
The EarWell system is effective in reshaping misshapen infant ears - many published studies and parents attest to this. At four weeks your nephew has a good chance of full correction. Ear molding is most effective when started in the first days or weeks of life (the earlier the better) so I recommend seeking a consultation with an EarWell physician as soon as practicable.
Hi searchingforanswers! It is possible to perform areola reduction in males, just as it is in females. The main downside of the surgery is the potential scarring. A 30mm diameter areola is not especially large but the surgery is definitely possible - I suggest that you make an appointment with a plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and the pros and cons of surgery. Good luck!
Thanks for your question, jeoff22. You don't have to worry, plucking hairs does not cause side effects with dermal fillers or botulinum toxin. The main relevant restriction is that you can't have injectables administered if you have an active infection at the site of the injection, but it's not likely that plucking hairs would result in an infection. Good luck with your treatment!
Thanks for your question! It's not the norm for botulinum toxin to last for 8 weeks - that's a rapid return of movement and is significantly faster than normal. It may be that you have fairly large muscles in the treatment area and so that the dose that you have received is relatively less than required. I suggest considering two options: 1. trial a higher dose of botulinum toxin for your next injection - the larger your muscles in the treatment area, the higher the dose should be. 2. have the same dose of botulinum toxin but continue at more frequent intervals (eg 8 weeks), with the expectation that over time you will be able to space out the intervals. Many patients find that they can space out their treatments over time, because the muscles shrink due to lack of use and they take longer to return to their former size. Good luck!
