Dr. Miller and his staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient with their services. I’ve had Botox treatments at other places and find the results I get from Dr. Miller are the best. I’m very particular and prefer a more natural look when I get Botox and I’m able to achieve that through Dr. Miller’s expertise.
Subcision would not be my first choice for you. You have mainly ice pick scars. I would start with a series of treatments with TCA 80% or more applied only to the scar itself. Then, I would follow up with microneedling.
It really depends on the depth of the chemical peel (superficial, medium, deep). Petroleum jelly is always good to heal superficial wounds but you should really check with your physician's office where the peel was performed as they will know what the typical downtime is for the specific peel you had done. A superficial peel typically peels on day 2-4 and then recovers quickly whereas a medium or deep peel can take a week or more to really recover.
I think the biggest issue you are having is volume loss leading to a slightly deflated look. A deep filler such as Voluma would really help you. Most people need at least 2 syringes.
It sounds like you are describing post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or brown spots from acne. These can be treated by a number of methods including hydroquinonone, potent vitamin C, and superficial chemical peels such as salicylic acid. It will require several peels (once a month for 4 months) and you MUST wear a sunscreen with zinc or titanium every day.
