Calf implants is a relatively underperformed surgical procedure. In our practice, we prefer the use of silicone implants, semi-solid soft implants, which are placed thru a posterior incision in the posterior knee crease. The fascia over lining the calf muscles serves as the envelope for the implant. Medial and lateral implants can be placed in each leg. Or just medial or lateral if desired. These implants to do not need to be changed, if the position is ideal. They are significantly preferable to fat transplants, which may lose volume over time.
Successful liposuction of the arms is dependent on the volume of fat and the looseness of skin in the area. A reasonable amount of fat (300-500ccs per arm) can be suctioned obtaining a good result and the skin will tighten so that it hang limp.If more fat is removed, skin reduction may be required. This usually results in an undesirable scar.
There would be too much bruising, swelling and pain the first week to consider hiking, or any vigorous physical activity. We recommend waiting 10-14 days before resuming non-impact exercises to allow yourself proper healing time.
