I was comfortable throughout my time there! Jamie has an amazing personality which made it easy to talk to him! I can tell this is his passion and when someone loves what they do they put their all in it! Thats exactly what he did and I loved the end result!
Having treated many patients with Sculpsure, I have noticed quite a spectrum of how people respond to the procedure. I believe the variety stems from individual pain thresholds. Some people find it quite tolerable and nearly painless; however, the majority of patients experience moderate discomfort. In my clinic, about 5-10% of patients do find it significantly painful - even with proper applicator placement. If the applicator is placed to close to a bony prominence, this can cause significant pain and the applicator should be adjusted (or shouldn't have been placed there in the first place). The silver lining for you, having gone through that pain, is that you were in Zone 4 for the majority of the treatment and I bet you will have stunning results!
Proper permanent laser hair removal requires significant amounts of focused energy and these platforms generally aren't available to the public due to safety concerns. I suspect the at home laser likely isn't working and may have claims that are unsubstantiated with evidence. The lasers commonly used professionally include: Alexandrite (755nm), long-pulse diode (810nm), IPL (650-1200nm), and Nd:YAG(1064nm).
