I had some red spots on my face that Dr. Wang burned off using the new Excel V laser. It was quick, painless, and the spots turned purple and disappeared in 2 weeks. I felt that this laser worked better than the VBeam or PDL lasers I had done before. I was very pleased. He also treated a couple of small moles on my arms by using an electric needle and they fell off within one week. Office is new and amazing. Parking was also right outside the front of the clinic.
The upper lip can be volumized quite well by just a syringe or two of filler. It's best to try fillers before surgical options. You'd be surprised what a little bit of upper lip definition can do for the overall appearance of your face. I agree that you would need to find someone who knows lip anatomy instead of just putting filler into the lip to plump only. Best of luck on your decision.
PicoSure is the best laser for tattoo removal. The first treatments with the laser, you should see frosting. However, as you progress through the treatment cycle, there are less pigment granules to absorb the laser energy and therefore, you may not see frosting. This is OK, and some surrounding redness after treatment indicates that the treatment has worked. Regarding post-procedure case, this is very specific to the facility. If there is frosting, I usually recommend icing. We have our staff apply ointment and cover the site with a non-adhesive dressing for 4-6 hours.
There is no major concern with mixing hyaluronic acids (HAs). In fact, I find it useful to use different types of HAs to achieve different qualities on the face. For example, if you were interested in defining the border of your lips, filling in the small lines, turning your lips outward, or merely increasing volume, I would suggest at least 2 types of fillers for an ideal outcome. The major differences between the products are their crosslinking and particle size, which give them the qualities of hard versus soft, stretchability, and life of the product.
