Dr. Kurly does a rapid recovery method. After 3 days I was back to work. No strong pain medication was required. After 2 weeks I had basically zero soreness. I really am happy that I was able to try out the size I wanted and I am extremely pleased with the final result. The staff were very helpful and communicate well. They provide the ideal implant as an option which I selected. I the look and feel.
I had a breast augmentation done about 5 years ago just because I wanted bigger boobs. I was so impressed by Dr. Kurley's work. The hands down best part was the rapid recovery. I didn't have to take any additional time off work and did it around my normal work schedule and was back to work in three days. I didn't take a single narcotic, only ibuprofen and acetaminophen. I had much less pain than some people who I know who have had their boobs done. Not gonna lie, I had "boob shock" in the beginning, but after some time when I learned to dress my new body - I was very thankful that Dr. Kurt guides me to an appropriate size and profile. I love my new shape.
I'm so glad I went through with having an augmentation. I was very nervous about the whole thing but Dr. Kurley and his team were so helpful. Dr. Kurley helped me make all the proper decisions (there are so many options, it's a bit overwhelming) to get the outcome I wanted. I've waited over 3 months to write a review so I would know that everything is settled and all residual swelling is gone, and again I'll say I'm so glad I went through with it and trusted Dr. Kurley and his staff. Updated on 10 Oct 2018: I was super reluctant to upload my before and after photos, but if it helps anyone else in their decision making process.... I was an A cup prior to surgery (maybe even less, after breastfeeding 1 child they shrunk and I was too embarrassed to get fitted). After surgery I'm a 32DD with 290cc Ideal implant.
Four weeks post abdominoplasty (“tummy tuck” or “mommy makeover”), and liposuction, I could not be happier. My favorite part was the look on my husband’s face of amazement the first time he saw it. He said, “Wow, you look really good, you’re going to be happy with it”, (and I was only 72 hours post op, swollen, drains still in and fresh sutures lines. The results are amazing! Dr. Kurley exhibits his proficiency in his domain, where art meets science, in aesthetics of the human body. The high level of care and professionalism was phenomenal.
I had an abdominoplasty three months ago with fabulous results. The preoperative and postoperative processes were streamlined, informative and performed by caring staff. I would highly recommend this surgeon and his team. Debbie D.
Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift I went in to Dr. Kurley’s office wanting to change the way I looked, I was in my 40’s and had given birth to three children that were now teenagers. I was not happy with my flabby stomach and sagging breasts, worked hard at the gym, and watched what I ate but nothing changed. I went in the office for a consultation and so glad that I did. The whole staff is very welcoming and answered any questions they could over the phone and at the desk. I met with Dr. Kurley and after talking about my wants and needs, He explained about the human body abdomen area and about the different surgeries that can target different problem areas. I learned about the types of fat that I had on my body compared to what I thought was fat was actually extra skin. I also learned that the extra skin in my case was not going to change no matter how hard I worked out at the gym. We talked about the type of tummy tuck and breast lift that we would do and in detail before I agreed to the surgery so I knew exactly what I was signing up for. I was complete knowledgeable about my options and what the doctor suggested we do and why, this made me feel very comfortable having my procedure with them. I received a packet that we reviewed with together so I was very sure of the steps I needed to take at home before surgery, what they would be doing in surgery and how to take care of myself after surgery. I found this packet to be very helpful and referred to it often for assurance. The day of surgery everyone was very happy and I felt at ease and comfortable. When I woke up after the surgery I was already dressed and sitting up with my husband at my side. I actually did not feel any pain at all; the staff led me out to the car and helped my climb awkwardly in. The next day I returned in the morning to get the catheter out and still did not feel so bad, was able to walk on my own. In fact, my whole recovery was not that painful at all. I did take the pain meds they prescribed but weened myself off after a week and then over the counter ibuprofin and asprin did the trick. I was back to my desk job in 2 weeks. Every follow up was very comfortable and familiar, like going to visit family where you catch up with everyone. Today, I have the body I was wanting and hoping to get, I feel like my young 20-year-old self again and can wear my slim fitting clothes without the muffin top. My shirts fit better and I look great in a bikini. If I had to do it again I wouldn’t change a thing about my experience. I even sent my good friend for her tummy tuck and she had the same wonderful experience. I still go to Dr. Kurley now for Botox and other facial treatments. I trust Dr. Kurley’s advice and follow his lead. It is wonderful and reassuring to find a cosmetic surgeon who you can trust.
I would recommend Dr. Kurley to anyone! I was a size 36B prior to my surgery, and although I was comfortable with my body, I have always wanted to be able to wear any neckline and feel great about it! Upon scheduling my consultation, the staff were very courteous and helpful. Everything was explained in detail at my appointment, and I really felt I was making an informed decision when I decided to schedule my surgery. The office worked with my schedule for my procedure and were very knowledgeable, informative, and professional throughout the whole process. I am a surgical nurse myself, and I found everything to be especially exceptional! I was able to return to work doing normal activities within three days! Thank you to everyone at Advanced Aesthetics!
I was nervous, but realistic about my expectations. More than anything, i wanted to loose my protruding belly and to regain my pre-pregnancy / pre-lactating boobs. My tummy is flat, my boobs look like I remember them (with 220 cc), and the lipo on my flanks gave me a great start on a healthier lifestyle. I'm more physically active and eating better to zap the visceral fat between my new belly button and boobs!
I had been researching TT for some time for many scars on my stomach and for sagging skin. I am overweight so I wasn't sure if I would be turned down for my bmi being too high. After much discussion I decided to go ahead with the procedure...and I am so happy I did!!! I have lost 5 inches off of my waist. I feel like a whole new woman. I would say the drains were the worst part but it was just uncomfortable and awkward, not painful. I am now almost 5 mo post op and every day it looks better and better. All of my old scars were removed as well! I could not have asked for a better experience!
Having breast augmentation was one of the best decisions of my life. The results are amazing! Make sure to are doing this procedure for you and do your research. Read about the recovery process and be familiar with possible consequences. Be patient and do not be scared to try as many types and size of implants as you can because you are going to want to make sure that you are choosing something that will make you happy for the rest of your life :)
Pauline, That is a great question that does not have a simple answer. The answer, from an insurance standpoint in the United States, varies from company to company. They usually have a minimum volume of tissue removal they require before they will consider it medically necessary. Your situation sounds a little different from that. A lift, with limited tissue removal, sounds to be what might be the best choice for you. You would need to be evaluated by a qualified Plastic Surgeon before a proper course of action could be undertaken. I hope this answer will help guide toward the next step, a proper consultation.
You should be congratulated on your accomplishment! Now comes the reward, getting rid of skin looseness. Many times we will combine treatment of more than one area. However, we want to be safe. These are the kinds of questions your surgeon should answer for you after having the chance to meet with you, examine you, and find out what other complicating factors might contribute to the decision. Generally speaking your surgeon should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
The implants are not made of latex, so the implant itself should not cause a problem in someone with a latex allergy. The operating room staff will have been trained in how to deal with latex allergy patients, but I would suggest that you ask to be sure. These are the kinds of concerns you should discuss with your surgeon who should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and also a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Be certain that the operating is accredited by an organization such as AAAASF, for your peace of mind. Good luck.
Bottoming out surgery requires great technical skill and precision. The incision in the crease provides the best chance for providing you with best outcome. The crease area incision usually does not result in keloid scars, but I do understand your concern. I wish you good luck with your upcoming revision.
The amount to be placed in an expander depends upon a number of facors including the quality of the skin, the quality of the surgical of the surgical scar, the size of the expander and comfort. There is no set amount that should be placed in the expander. The other factor in the process is the need for chemotherapy and the associated timing of the second stage to remove the expander and replace it with the final reconstructive implant. Be patient, your surgeon has your best interests in mind.
