I had my surgery on June 13, 2019 with Dra Jaqueline Miranda and her husband Dr. Robert Langlands in Santiago, Dominican Republic. They are amazing surgeons. Recommend by my sister-n-law who lives there. I did a lot of research about these procedures since I knew I wanted to do it. I’m 44 years old, a mom of two kids. I have always taken care of myself by eating healthy and doing daily workouts. But I couldn’t get rid of my belly fat. I knew that part of it was due to family heritages. I decided to make a difference in my life so had a conversation with my husband and he supported me in anything I decided to do. So I did and I don’t regret it at all. Updated on 23 Jun 2019: Let me tell you a little bit of the preparation process before I continue to describe my post- op. I met with Dr Jaqueline Medina and Dr Robert Langlands on June 3. They have their office at the Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago HOMS. Contact: (809)241-2300. They answered all my questions, told me about the whole process and how much it was. She told me that it will be good to do the surgery soon and have a longer recovery time before I leave to the USA. We agreed on June 13 as the surgery date. That same day she send me to get blood work done, a scan of my upper body and a cardiac exam. Those 3 exams are not included with the surgery price so I had to pay around $240 for them and expend a whole day at the hospital to get them done. I came back June 7 to the hospital to pick up my results and bring them to Dr Miranda for our final consultation before surgery. She checked them and took pictures of my naked body as well. Gave me the list of medications that I will need for after the surgery and other preparation. I already have her cell number so if I had more questions just text her. I left her office confident that I’m in good hands. Updated on 23 Jun 2019: Feeling good but nervous at the same time. My beautiful sister-n-law drove me to the hospital and we arrived at 7am to Dr Miranda’s office and her wonderful assistant Eyleen took us to the surgery area of the hospital so I can start getting prepared. I laid on the hospital bed and see both Dr Miranda and her husband Dr Langlands come in and ask me to stand up and draw on me to point out the areas where they where going to perform the surgery. They took me to the surgery room and Dr Miranda was holding my hand and making me feel comfortable and relax while the anesthesiologist was doing her job on me. Next thing, I remember waking up feeling drowsy but no pain yet. They took me to my private room where my sister—n-law was waiting for me. I spend the night at the hospital and well looked after by the nurses. The next day around 10am my Doctors came in and checked me, told me everything went well and I’m good to be discharge from the hospital but before I go they put a faja on me. (See picture of the box). Updated on 23 Jun 2019: The medication has worn out and started to feel the pain from the liposuction on my back. No pain in my abdominal yet. Dr Miranda recommend to start my lymphatic massages with Naty she is a masseuse that works close with the Dr. The massages are $20-25 each for every day needed. Naty comes and cleans the tummy tuck insicion, checks the drainage, massages the whole abdominal area and my entire back where I feel the pain the most. Then she helps me get into my faja which is hard when you are still in pain. I told Naty & Dr Miranda that I wanted the massage every day while I’m here recuperating. It is painful but I do feel much better after it. In the picture you will see my tummy tuck insicion which is different from what I have seen from other surgeons. The cut is so thin and the drainages are below the cut. My back lipo with little bruising because of the Lipo Vaser ( google it for more info) The items used to clean and massage are: sterile gauzes 4x4. Alcohol 70%. gloves, 100% pure cold pressed Organic Rosehip seed oil. Sterile tape, cotton swabs and Curaderm power. Updated on 23 Jun 2019: When you research about tummy tucks and liposuction you hardly hear the real bad moments. I want to share some with you. Prepare mentally and physically for these procedures because it is rough. You won’t be able to sleep well for the first week. You will sleep in a chair or recliner surrounded with many pillows sometimes. You need help to get up from the chair or bed. You need help to go to the bathroom because you won’t be able to clean yourself (that was my lowest point, feeling helpless). Ask for help the first two weeks because if you don’t then you can open your wound and make recovery time longer than what should it be. You will be stuck inside for a while unless you don’t have any pain. It will be a good time to catch up on anything. You can’t shower while you have the drainages so personal cleaning wipes will help stay clean. Drink a lot of water or pure fruit juices. Pineapple juice is great for inflammation. If your feet swollen take a natural herb capsule called Horsetail and maintain your feet lift up most of the time. (Consult with your doctor first) You will wear a faja (gridle) all the time for compression (3-6 months) just take it off to have it washed. Eventually you will need to buy a smaller size faja once imflamation goes down. Try to eat healthy, avoid foods that can make you gassi or constipated. I will let you know if I have anymore Updated on 27 Jun 2019: On day 9 post- op my drainages came off. It didn’t hurt since the area still a little dumb. I’m so happy because I’m able to take full showers now. I still need help from my sister-n-law since I can’t stretch my body completely yet. I keep getting the lymphatic massages every day and I feel much better every time. On June 25th I went to see Dr Jacqueline Miranda and Dr Langlands for my 2nd post check-up visit. She told me everything looks really good that I’m healing really well. My belly button looks great but she will wait until next week to take off the stiches. Once they do then I will be able to get into and out of bed by myself. I’m not sleeping well since it is uncomfortable. My back still hurts and sleeping on it is not comfortable. I’m still taking my vitamins and iron pills. Drinking a lot of water and 100% pineapple juice. Eating healthy and taking walks through out the day. Today is 2 weeks post-ops and I’m happy with my recuperation. The swelling still there and now the itching has started in some areas. At this point I know things will be better. Feel free to ask me anything if you have any questions. Updated on 28 Jun 2019: It wasn’t painful because the area still numb from the surgery. Doctor says that it is healing very good. If you see something white in the hole drainages it is a medical powder to help close the holes. Look at the surgery cut it is so thin. So happy with it. Dr Miranda did a great job.
I made with her breast augmentation plus liposuction and be delighted she and her husband are super attentive, friendly and helpful, the results were incredible was a change from heaven to earth, the best decision I made, 100% recommended

I'm a 47 year old mother of 3, been thinking of this for years. On early 2017 decide that it was time. Went to Dr. Miranda on April 2017 had my tummy tuck and lipo as she recomended, no complications at all. The procedure was good and the recovery good not what i was expecting to be, even my sister thought i was weired i didn't bruise like most women she has seen. Oh by tge way my sister is a massager n has good hands. I do recommend anyone to stay as long as possible so no complications or problems after the surgery. I'll definitely will go to Dr. Miranda for any other procedure needed. Her and her husband are excellent surgeon.
Being Cuban and Italian, I grew up around women and men with great bodies. All my life I would see family and friends with perfect bodies and really nice round butts. I was the odd one out with a Hog Body and flat butt. On December 8th 2017 I contacted Dr. Jacqueline about enhancing myself. She was very nice and answered all of my question. After all of my research I decided to put my deposit for her, and booked my flight. I will pay for my surgery in January and have it in March. She is awesome, and leaves nothing unanswered. I felt bad because she is on vacation, but I had a question and she answered me as soon as she got to wifi. I am truly excited about making this journey with her and I wouldn't want to go with any other doctor. She is double of what I would have paid in Santo Domingo, but I am going for quality, and bed side manner here not price. You truly get what you pay for.
I don't have any cons. I even love the idea of being in the Dominican Republic for whatever time is needed during recovery time, before being able to fly back home to the USA , it serves as a relaxing me time. I can't comment on the hospital stay nor accommodations because I stay nearby at my sister in laws. But, Dr. Mirandas staff is awesome as is her husband who works with her.. He is also a surgen, he did my rhinoplasty. The anesthesiologist is also part of her group and he was just as awesome. Wish I lived there or she worked in the USA. For me it's not about the price, because in the end between her fee and my spending while I'm there it turns out to be very close if not the same as if I did it here in the USA.... It's the matter that she was highly recommended by a doctor in my family who loves me and would only put me in the very best the Republic has to offer. For me is about safety and quality of work before the money.
I have wanted a nice butt and boobs for as long as i can remember.about 2 yrs ago i got a bbl done in Fl with dr. Pazmino but with no results at all it was just a waste of money.Ever since i had kids my boobs were none existent.So now im hoping the second time around i will be happy. Im doing both the butt implants and the BA together. So butt implants first and the BA 3 weeks later. I will be staying in DR for a whole month. Updated on 4 Jun 2014: Iv heard that intra muscle is the best for butt implants so i wont know what size i will be getting since i have to be measured first.Im counting down the days. My husband doesnt feel safe with me going by myself but he has to stay hone with the kids. By the ways the HOMS is a very new and clean hospital similar to ones in the states there are8 doctors working there from all over the world so if god forbid u had a complication u would be in safe hands.Anyways i stayed with ginna and even though iv heard sum bad things about her i would like to say that shes the sweetest and most caring person she stayed with me and after i threw up the food the hospital gave me she went out and got fruits for me which i could manage to eat..i recommend her recovery house to any doing surgery in santiago and trust me if ur gona be in any pain like im in u need someone there 24..sevens.she even massages my legs when they hurt. Updated on 9 Jul 2014: I got 300cc cohesive round implants.dr said thats the largest size this type come in so hopefully when my muscle stretches ill be happy. I need some help wit The pain i cant sleep i cant walk im in so much pain its almost unbearable..i feel like crying.dr gave me sleep meds but only for night because she said i need to walk around to help with healing.She said i should feel a lot better tomorrow.im praying Updated on 10 Jul 2014: Im feeling much better just slight tightness in my butt and legs slept a little better last night getting better as time goes by everything going good thank God. IF my butt is healing quickly and everthing goes as planned i will be having breast implant in the next 2 weeks with lipo to tummy n flanks. She didnt advise doing both at once and thank God i didnt i dont think i would have managed. She and her husband are amazing docs and give great advise. Will post more pics once my drains come out she said maybe in another day or two cant wait.She also said the final results are not visible now cause my muscles were very tight she had to fight to get them in she said it will expand alot more once the muscle relaxes and stretches more cant wait for the transformation Updated on 10 Jul 2014: Nothing much has happened since day 1 lol..im not draining a lot so doc should remove drains tomorrow hopefully.im drinking so much water and other fluids ihear that helps a lot the only down side is that i have to get up every 2 to 3 hrs to pee no number 2 yet ginna gave me some prunes today if that doesnt help when i see the dr. Tomorrow she will give me a stool softener. Updated on 20 Jul 2014: Im feeling great no pain just so tired of sleeping on my stomach my dr suggested sleeping on my back with pillows for support iv done it a couple times it really helped.The size implants i got was kinda smaller than i had anticipated but the doctor assured me it was the size my muscles could hold. Well so far im happy with the look and size it fits my body perfectly and since i didnt get a bigger implant less chance of seroma and wound opening. I trust my doctor and im satisfied with my results do far. A lot of girls are probably thinking 300 cc is small but if thats all my muscle could hold then i had no choice and i wouldnt have wanted the dr to put a bigger one and risk complication and or removal. I posted some pics taken yesterday i think they are still square looking but over time they will drop and look more natural. Updated on 20 Jul 2014: Pics r giving me a hard time to upload Updated on 20 Jul 2014: Updated on 25 Aug 2014: Im not totally happy with the size I wish I could have gotten a little bigger but im planning to go a little bigger maybe in a year after my muscle has stretched alittle.I would recommend my doc 100 % because she wont try to fit something bigger than your muscle can hold which I think is a good thing because this helps to avoid complication and removal of implants.So far iv had no complications and I have been sitting since about 2 and a half weeks. I still have to wait a little longer before I can start going back to the gym which sucks Updated on 25 Aug 2014: I stayed there for 1 month because I was doing multiple surgeries. My experience there was not totally bad.There are a lot of flies and nosquitoes and I actually got the chikungunyan virus while I was there due to the amount of mosquitos they have.The food wasnt totally bad it wasnt the best though just make sure u go shopping when you are there or bring a lot of snacks.One thing is for sure though is that ginna knows her stuff shes really busy and overworked and needs more help but one thing you can be sure of is that while you are there with her you wont get an infection unless its something beyond her control. She has never had anyone get an infection that has stayed with her.The house is ok its not a five star hotel but its ok to stay for a little.
I'm a mommy of three kids and wanted to regain my old body back. I had a Brazilian butt augmentation on February 2013 by Dr. Wendell Perry in Miami and it was not worth it at ALL!!!! I spent $7,000 for nothing but connect a dots on my body from the scars. I decided to get implants and I must say I'm very happy with my results so far. I flew to Santiago alone on April 10th went to the HOMS hospital and had my consultation with the Dr. Miranda she and her husband were very professional and showed me the implants and gave me their personal opinion. I stayed at Gina's recovery house and I must say do not stay there. My experience there was not a pleasant one at all. The house was pretty but the food got me sick as a dog. They do not have a menu to choose from everyone must eat whatever they serve. (not GOOD). Gina spends her days giving massages to other clients and being very dominating. I hated it so bad I flew 5 days after my surgery (not good at all). I am fine and so far rounding out nicely I got 375cc euro med cohesive implants. the incision is right in the middle. I had 2 drains which were the most uncomfortable. The first night I stayed t the hospital and I had an epidural with sedation. I woke up with no pain and was fine. next day I left and i was walking around with no problems except for tightness. 2nd day same no pain no pain meds but it was very difficult to sleep due to the drains. I had the drains removed 4 days later and it wasn't bad. I felt relieved to have them out. I forgot to mention I got very sick on the 3rd night due to food poisoning at Gina's house. so I was vomiting and diarrhea all day and night and was extremely weak. ( at the recovery house they cook and leave the food on the counter for hours with flies all over the food ughh disgusting. I'm back home and all is good so far 2 weeks today and rounding out nicely. I am happy with my results and the feel quite natural. I plan on getting lipo on my lower back to give me an even rounder looking butt. I do feel them whenever I reline back , however it is a foreign object in my body. Updated on 21 Aug 2014: I would like to rectify the implant manufacturer I originally posted was incorrect. The implant I have is Euro Silicone Anatomical Gluteus implant 375 cc smooth surface very cohesive gel. length 14.7cm, width 11.7cm, projction 4.1cm. These impants are made in France. I hope this information helps Updated on 21 Aug 2014: feeling great so far no issues. I am happy with my results, however wish my muscle could have accommodate a little bit bigger implant. Updated on 22 Aug 2014: I had a fat transfer last year and no fat survived. Very disappointing after spending so much money and time to end up with 0 results. I decided to go with butt implants and I must say I am very happy with my results. I chose Dr. Miranda after viewing my friends results whom had implants done by this Dr. 2 years prior. I can't elaborate enough how professional, and kind Dr. Miranda and her husband are to all their patients. It's been 4 months since I had my surgery done and I still communicate with my Dr.

I'm 20 yrs old, no kids, 5'3 & about 130 lbs. I've been doing research and stalking this site for months now! I finally made my appointment today...like I have an actual date, so exciting!! I plan to get breast implants next but the booty comes first lol. I'm scheduled with Dr. Jacqueline Miranda in the Dominican Republic for butt implants with liposuction of my abdomen and back. My mom is coming with me. She doesn't want me to go alone and I don't want to be alone. I plan to go ahead and get my blood work out of the way in case anything needs to be done I'll have enough time to fix the issue. Before I made the big jump and set my date I would of loved the opportunity to follow someone on their journey from day 1 just to know what to expect. So I'm going to give someone else that opportunity. Any advice or info is greatly welcomed. Anything specific I should do, eat, etc before surgery?? I will post pics of my current body and wish pics soon ;) toodles ????????
