I am 35 years of age, no children, always had small breasts and not much breast tissue, I always knew I wanted implants from a young age and had known about Dr Foo and his work from 15 years ago as other people I knew had him as a surgeon, he is highly qualified and respected and very much a perfectionist. He sat with me for 2 consultations explaining all the negatives in great detail, advised me to place rice in bags to see what size I was happy with. Due to my narrow ribcage I could only have 260cc or at a push 285cc so he ordered both whilst I decided which to go for. After lots of thoughts and questions I went for the 285cc. I only had to wait a month before my surgery, I arrived in hospital at 7am and was on the table at 8.20am! Amazing! Then back on the ward by 11.30am. In the early evening Dr Foo visited me to see how I was, I felt fine and had a wander up and down the ward. The nurses at Yorkshire Clinic were very attentive and the food was also amazing! Steak dinner and cheesecake! The next morning Dr Foo came to see me and we were both very happy with my results, he noticed I had a very high pain threshold so said I needed to rest and not do too much which has been the hardest part for me as I feel great. I have had the implants 6 days now so will keep updating with photos. Updated on 13 May 2023: Now 6 months post op, at 4 months I was diacharged. I am hugely happy with my results. Still measuring 30 DD although bluebella (one of my favourite brands) are measuring fairly small so may need E! I am now back to doing all exercise, although noticeably lost a lot of strength in climbing I am starting to build back up, this took a hit on my confidence a little as having such a long time to recover and reduce exercise it has forced me to go back to basics, which isn't a bad thing. Now doing crossfit classes, climbing etc, no pain no issues. Absolutely love them
It has been 11 months since my procedure and I am so happy with my results. From the moment I met Mr Foo at The Yorkshire Clinic I knew he was the surgeon for me. For years I had wanted this procedure and after many hours researching surgeons and after many personal recommendations to see Mr Foo, I booked in my first consultation. He went through everything with me to make sure I was certain I wanted the procedure and made sure I was aware of possible complications etc. He made me feel like I was in very safe hands. On my second consultation I explained that I wanted to be around a DD bra size if possible (previously an empty B after breastfeeding my 2 girls). He gave me tips on how to check if I would be happy with the size and I tried implant sizers in a DD bra to see how they felt and looked and he did all my measurements to check that the sizes were right for my body. Once we agreed a date he was happy to see me again leading up to the op date and answered any more questions I had. Again trying on the sizes with a fresh pair of eyes to check I was still comfortable with my decision. On the day of the procedure I arrived at the Yorkshire Clinic at 7.00am. I had a nice big room to myself which was a very high standard and very clean. The nurses were all lovely and made me feel really comfortable. Mr Foo came to see me at about 7.30am to check how I was etc and the nurses did all their checks. It wasn’t long before I was having the anaesthetic (about 8.30/9.00am). The next thing I remember was waking up with some slight discomfort. The nurses were there to make sure I was feeling ok and gave me more pain relief. Once I had fully come round I was taken back to my room and well looked after. Mr Foo came to see me again to check on me and explain how the procedure went. After that I was well looked after by the nurses and the food was delicious!! I stayed over night and the next morning Mr Foo popped in to see me again. I had some breakfast and lunch before going home. Mr Foo came to see me again to check I was happy with everything before I left and told me to ring the clinic if I needed any help or advice at all. At home I had quite a lot of pain when trying to lie back. I spent the first few nights sleeping upright which caused a bit of back ache. The pain eased every day. On day 3 at home I had a small amount of clear liquid which came out of one of the cuts. I rang the clinic and Mr Foo was happy to see me within a couple of hours. He checked and everything was fine. A few days later I kept getting shooting pains down the side of my left breast When I moved my arm. This was so frustrating as my right side felt nearly back to normal and I had full movement in my right arm. I was so worried it might have been nerve damage and after researching online and not finding much other than permanent nerve damage I really panicked. I rang the clinic again and Mr Foo booked me in for the same day. He reassured me and gave me exercises to do and other options if it came to that, although he was confident it was just temporary. Within a few days the pain/ twinges reduced until they disappeared. Every month my breasts changed shape and became more natural looking which is what I wanted. They came to their end result at about 8 months and I am so happy with them!! They definitely changed in shape and actually got bigger over the months so if you are unsure of how they look at the start, don’t worry as that is not the end result. Mr Foo saw me again at 3 months post op and was also really happy with the results! He said I could go back at any time if I had any further questions. I am so so happy with the care I received and my results and I can’t recommend Mr Foo enough! The advice he gave before hand and the aftercare was amazing! I really felt safe and that he had my best interest at heart. I’ve heard of some surgeons that just rush people through and put pressure on them and are all in it to make more money. However I did not feel like this at all with Me Foo. I can’t thank him enough for everything he has done for me!!
Excellent. Very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. I’m thrilled with the results at this early juncture and have felt in safe hands from the first time that I met this surgeon. I’d highly recommend.
I had been to see several consultants first who had left a lot to be desired, they made me feel like just a number and put me off by saying my body art would be damaged. From my first appointment with Mr Foo I knew he was the right man for the job. He was very friendly and professional. He was extremely thorough with information, expectations and possible complications. He was more interested in getting the right results for me than booking me in there and then. In fact I had to ask him to book me soon as I had a very small timeframe to get the procedure done and healed due to other surgeries. He very kindly booked me in for the date I needed because he felt I had enough understanding of the whole process and knew what I wanted the end results to be like. He worked around my health issues and even contacted my consultants to be sure. He reassured me that my body art wouldn’t be ruined which he was correct about, my husband is a tattoo artist and was fully prepared to have to rework my tattoos but Mr Foo left no damage and my husband is astonished by the works and how perfect the scars are. Well done to you Mr Foo you have an eye for detail he says. Before during and after the procedure he was always there and if I had any questions I could contact him and get a response very fast and if needed an appointment in clinic. Everything went fine with no issues or complications and my results are absolutely perfect and even have had a few of the bra fitters take his name as in their words the results are the best they have ever seen and they have healed fantastic. I cannot recommend him enough and we do both often get asked who did my breast and we recommend Mr Foo. I do in fact intend on using him again for other procedures in the future as I don’t think I could trust someone else now. There is no way I can thank him enough for what he has done and how amazing his care was, I feel like he went above and beyond for me when needed and most importantly the results speak for themselves and are a credit to him
I first visited Mr Foo for a consultation in March 2017, and from that moment onwards he has been nothing short of fantastic! Mr Foo was recommended to me by two friends who'd had similar procedures, and I cannot thank them enough for their recommendation. During the consultation Mr Foo explained the procedure in great detail, and made sure I was in no doubt about the pros and cons. He makes sure he manages your expectations, and was very clear that he would only be prepared to do a procedure that was going to look fantastic. I immediately felt reassured and safe in his care. I had the surgery in August 2017, and I cannot fault any aspect of the experience. Of course, I experienced a lot of pain after the procedure, but the results.... WOW!!! They are way better than I could have ever hoped for! It was obvious throughout my consultants that Mr Foo was a perfectionist, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine such a perfect result. They are natural looking (exactly what I wanted) and the scars are so neat and barely visible. In my opinion he is a genius, because he's literally transformed my life! During my follow up appointments Mr Foo showed the same amount of care and attention... He has always been patient in answering my many questions! To summarise, I cannot recommend Mr Foo enough if you are considering cosmetic surgery! If you want someone who will be totally straight with you about what you can expect, and then deliver fantastic results in line with your expectations, then Mr Foo will not disappoint!
My kids are 14 and 17 and I've lost 4 1/2 stone through diet and exercise and have kept it off for over 2 years. No amount of exercise has improved my tum and I had a consultation to see if the PS agreed. I was so relieved when he said that nothing could improve it as the muscle tone had gone and that was enough to make my mind up and go for it. I wanted my life back and to ease up on the gym I always punished myself that I hadn't worked hard enough on my an work but having a back problem meant this was difficult. I also want clothes to fit properly and not be too big or too tight. I wanted to see some real results for all my hard work. Updated on 2 Aug 2017: I was extremely nervous but glad to find out I was the first on the list Mr Foo came to measure me up beforehand I felt like I was at a tailors when he got his tape measure out ha! But I was glad he was being so thorough. The op took just over 3 hours and needless to say I am so happy with the result. The pain was pretty unbearable and I had a really difficult first night. I was so glad I had a catheter in so I didn't need to try to get to the loo. I tried some toast but it made me cough as it stuck in my throat that was not a pleasant experience. Let's see what the next few days brings! Updated on 2 Aug 2017: Mr Foo came to see me bright and early and said everything looked good and he's pleased with the results. Drains are to stay in for another day but if they remain empty they can come out tomorrow. He also advised me to get up and about a bit which I did but was difficult as it really hurt my back being hunched over and carrying the catheter and drains about! The catheter is coming out later today which I'm pleased about. I'm allowed to eat normally and even though I know I should keep it light ive give in to the temptation of the delicious food on offer and I feel starving having not eaten for over 24 hours. I ordered a full breakfast with weetabix but needless to saymy eyes are bigger than my belly I managed some toast egg and the weetabix and reluctantly gave up the yummy looking sausage bacon and hash brown. have problem with swallowing due to a previous op and am not keen on soups so ordered a jacket potato for lunch and steak pie and potatoes for tea so it was easy to eat. Both were delicious I didn't eat the pastry as I thought that'd be too heavy but feel extremely over full and know this is going to play havoc with my IBS I've read so many times that people struggle with constipation so am now regretting my food decisions today. I must take it easier tomorrow! Still in a lot of pain but managing it with regular meds. Hubby and kids came to see me again but not til late on it's such a long day waiting for them. Updated on 2 Aug 2017: I had an amazing nights sleep I remember putting my book down about 10.15 and was surprised to wake up at 5.45am! Mr Foo came about 7ish my drains were empty so they can come out and I cn shower yey! The swelling has started to kick in and Mr Foo said i wouldn't see my day 1 belly for about 3 monthsnow! The swelling is all normal but will get worse before it gets better. And the dreaded constipationhas kicked in and i have griping tummy pains. A student nurse came later that day and removed the drains that was a horrible feeling not helped by her stopping to ask for reassurance from the nurse that she was doing this right and even had my drains half pulled out at one point! My 17 yr old came to help me shower bless her she's squeamish so I was very surprised at this. I decided to try on my own to see how I got on and whilst I managed itwas pretty horrific to do. My back felt like it as going to go at one point and I had to sit on the loo i thought if I collapse I'm not getting back up again! I even managed to wash my hair and I did feel better for it afterwards. My daughter dried and straightened my hair and I felt more normal. I had to get a new dressing for my drains site though the student nurse hadn't put it on right so it come off in the shower I didn't know until it leaked on my clean Pjs. Still painful but fewer meds today hope it stays this way. Gave in to the tempting food again stayed a bit lighter but it's like being in a hotel! 3 meals a day plus tea and biscuits this will not be good for my new waistline! Updated on 2 Aug 2017: Not a good night last night and not helped by police cars and helicopters out for about 2 hours! The pains pretty bad and the constipation pains are ramping up. I'm a bit nervous to find out if im going home as I've liked having the reassurance of nurses there if you need them. The nursing staff and healthcares seem pretty keen for me to go today keep asking if Mr foos been to see me and at 11.40 I had to ask if they'd ordered some lunch has no one had asked me. I was then on slim pickings as it was very late. The staff had expected me to go after breakfast and a student nurse said she was going to ring mr foo to see where he was. I was a bit surprised by that as he'll come when he can and I really wasn't in a rush. He came to see me about 1ish and was happy for me to go home so I decided to take the opportunity to have another shower as I knew I'd struggle with my over bath shower at home. It was slightly easier than the previous day and I was a bit more organised as I knew what to expect. After the last time I went straight on Amazon and ordered a shower stool so I could manage at home. I had to get my hubby to bring me some larger trousers to wear as the ones I had were way too tight I had brought a size bigger but needed 2! It really is swollen today! The walk out to the car was difficult and I got straight back in my nightie once home. I found it difficult to get comfy on the settee so resigned myself to bed using 3 pillows for my back and 2 under my knees. Managing with paracetmol and codeine. Updated on 2 Aug 2017: Slept well kept up to meds and on lactulose syrup which is just making me windy! Struggling to get comfy n settee but don't want to be shut up in my bedroom so doing best I can with cushions and a foot stool. Being well looked after by the kids n hubby could get used to this! The swelling is particularly bad at the end of the day and I'm feeling very over full when I eat. I know I shouldn't have but I weighed myself and I've put 5lbs on I do wonder how how much was cut off I'll have to remember to ask at po appt. Updated on 2 Aug 2017: I've managed to get myself showered and dressed I am so glad I bought the shower seat as I couldn't have managed otherwise. I needed a rest straight after. It's my wedding anniversary the hubby bought me some beautiful flowers and made me a copper bell from plumbing parts (he's a plumber/welder and it's our 7th) he soon regretted the bell when I started using it ha ha! Managed to go the loo today which was very painful I'm keeping up with the lactulose but it doesn't seem to be helping. Still very swollen and uncomfortable and needing the pain meds. Updated on 2 Aug 2017: Feeling ok today had a few visitors which meant I didn't get my afternoon nap so I ended up going to bed at 6.30pm got up again about 9 for an hour then back to bed at 10ish but had a restless night I've got some strange sensations like a rippling feeling and a trickling feeling in my tummy. It's making me worry that I may have a seratoma I'm glad it's my po appt tomorrow so I can ask. Updated on 2 Aug 2017: Got up and showered this morning feeling much brighter. I'd ordered some new clothes which came this morning as nothing fit so at least I don't have to worry about going to the appt in my Pjs ha ha! The swelling is the worst its been and was very uncomfortable over night. I really need to watch what im eating. The constipation has been excruciating today as well I've been to the toilet non stop as I have the feeling of wanting to go but it hurts like hell to strain. The post op appt went well no fluid and the stitches were removed from my bb I can actually see it now! My steri strips will be removed from incision next week. Mr Foo is very pleased with the outcome so far. I felt on a bit of a high after and ventured to Matalan for some more nighties and was pleased that I manged. This came back to bite me later as I ended up in bed early again I must remember that it's baby steps! I also continued to have problems with going to the loo and think I may have pulled something due to the straining. I'll have to see how I go. Updated on 2 Aug 2017: Felt good again this morning made breakfast and cleaned the kitchen sides which wore me out! I was sat having my lunch and got really bad pains stupid me had forgotten to take the tablets! I ended up in bed for the rest of the afternoon yesterday was definitely too much for me. Updated on 4 Aug 2017: Getting up and about a lot more even went for a sort walk yesterday which was hard but I really needed it. The swellings worse on an evening so I'm tending to go to bed about 6/7 to watch tv. I find laying down helps ease it. I dared to go on all 4 this morning to see what it looked like and even though it's swollen it looks amazing! I'm flat with no hanging! I do need to eat better though I'm just do hungry all the time but craving naughty things I usually avoid like chocolate and biscuits. It must be my body's at of healing. I'm also struggling with speech and concentration again after the anaesthetic it's weird how it affects me and it takes a few weeks to settle. Updated on 8 Aug 2017: Feeling much more like myself again managed a couple of trips out to the shops and for a Sunday lunch. Tried some underwear on yesterday couldn't believe that was me even with the swelling! I'm still getting an ache in one leg so will mention that to the ps this aft when I go for final dressing removing - can't wait to see what the scar looks like! I feel like it's time to start getting back to normal starting with the diet I have had a huge appetite since the op which is so unlike me but really need to reign it in now. Don't want to undo what I've paid for. Updated on 9 Aug 2017: Had a positive appt with PS yesterday he is very pleased with my progress and 'll dressings are off! Feels a bit strange against my clothes but looks a lot better than I thought I finally feel like I can start getting back to normal - slowly of course! Updated on 12 Aug 2017: Day 18 po and I am so bored and frustrated at not being able to get on with stuff. I'm managing to get out and about but I'm so fed up off shopping but there's not much else I can do! I'm managing small things at home like putting washing in sweeping (I have to be very gentle doing this) and polishing. Not attempting anything heavier yet even though the house is doing my head in and the hubby and kids seem to have lost all compassion and expect me to be back to normal! I tried a short drive yesterday which I found uncomfortable and have been up most of the night with bad back ache and horrendous tightness in my tum. Won't be doing that again in a hurry. I'm sick of seeing baggy trousers and leggings (which I hate with a passion but have had to give into them) tried some jean jeggings yesterday managed 10 minutes before I had to take them off. If the weather was warmer I could wear dresses feels more like October than August! So fed up with this swelling. Fingers crossed things will improve over the next week!
Mr Foo has been my reconstruction surgeon for many years he has worked so hard to get me looking facially symmetrical after horrific facial palsy Mr Ivan foo is the best of the best brow lifts face lifts blepharoplasty a fogley lift botox etc his expertise shows that from a woman who felt unable to live and cope with the traumatic effects the disfigurement left me in can see in the mirror the work and many procedures and Mr foos expertise has given me back my confidence I can't thank him his staff in theatre reception staff enough yours Kerry stringer
Always wanted an enlargement and was recommended Mr Foo. Definitely money well spent! I went from a 30C to a 30FF and have a natural tear drop look. The outcome is better than I could have imagined and the recovery wasn't as bad as I'd heard - few days before I was moving about. Spire Elland looked after me extremely well. Breasts feel and look great.
I went to see Mr Foo just before christmas as I was having problems with my implants both had ruptured and the left one had capsulated and was bigger than the other and was quite hard. ( Mr Foo did not do these originally). He explained in full detail that they had ruptured and we decided to have them removed and replaced with new implants, Mr Foo advised they should be replaced with 350cc high profile implants as they would give the best results. He was 100% right they look amazing and I couldn't be happier, he had a lot of work to do as the old implants was in such a bad state. When I woke up from the anaesthetic Mr Foo was there and he was smiling and said the surgery went really well I was hardly in any pain and managed my pain relief with paracetamol. The whole process has been amazing and I have had full support from Mr Foo and the staff at the Spire Hospital Elland. Today I saw Mr Foo for botox and again I felt totally at ease, I trust him with my life and I would recommend him 100% to anybody looking to have surgery or any injectables.
I am one week post breast augmentation performed by Mr Foo. My situation was more complex as I have polands syndrome. Mr Foo performed my last BA 10 years ago and in my opinion he is the best at what he does. He is very professional but at the same time makes you feel comfortable and at ease whilst explaining everything in fine detail so that you are fully informed of the procedure and possible complications. I wouldn't have felt Comfortable with any other surgeon performing the op. Mr Foo is so experienced and a perfectionist and I am Thrilled with my results. If anyone is considering breast augmentation I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Mr Foo. Thank you Mr Foo the results are life changing for me And my confidence.
