Based on research data, photodynamic therapy can temporary improve acne by killing the bacteria and decreasing redness but it does not offer long term benefit (similar effect as oral antibiotics). However, if your natural course of acne is getting better, based on your gender, age and hormone status, it can offer short term rescue (improve your acne for 1-2 months) and help your acne along the way.
I believe having some smiling lines makes a person look more friendly and warm. Therefore, I encourage my patients to have just enough Botox to soften the lines but not totally elimiting them. Normally, I inject 3-10 units around each eyes. The number of units go down when a patients have had more than 2 years of regular Botox.
Botox works only for dynamic wrinkles, but not the lines we have when we are not make a facial expression (such as smiling). The result of botox depends on your age when you started regular injections, since the longer you wait, the more likely that you will have non-correctable lines.
Having 2 units of botulinum toxin injected into the proper locations in the eyebrow will make yoru eyebrow more arched. The exact location of injections depends on the individual.
The risk of bruising is related to your clotting state (ie, whether you take aspirin a day or not), how thin is your skin, wherer the injections are placed (around eye area has high risk). Having 2 products injected on the same day contributes a very small part to the overall risk of bruising.
