I had my breast reduction and lift just two days ago on Wednesday, Dec. 12th at Regional Hospital in Scranton. My surgeon was Dr. Ira Krafchin. I am feeling great! The surgery took 3 hours; I had to be there at 6 a.m., they started operating at 9 a.m. and I was finished at noon. He took over a pound from each breast. I was in recovery for an hour and then transported back to Short Stay. I was most afraid of being put under as this was my first surgery (aside from wisdom teeth removal). However, it went “so fast” and my nurses were incredible and put my mind at ease. I was in Short Stay for another couple hours where I ate, peed, and was shown how to do the drains. I went home around 3:30 p.m. I’m very lucky to say that my pain level has been quite low! The most pain I felt was when I woke up from surgery— I had a sharp burning sensation near my new nipples. However, they gave me something in Recovery and that quickly subsided. Aside from that, I’ve just been taking a pain pill to sleep and am fine during the day. It’s amazing, I really can’t believe how well I’m doing! My throat is bothering me more than anything (from the tube.) I’ve been drinking lots of tea & honey. Today (Friday, the 14th) I had my appointment at 9 a.m. to have the drains removed! It was a quick appointment and pretty much painless. Best part was, he told me I could shower! He told me he wants to see me back on Tuesday, and until then take it easy as it’s only been two days. Just two days out, I’m so happy and would definitely recommend. I’ve already noticed a difference in my posture! Before and after pictures attached.Updated on 16 Dec 2018:
I’ve I attached some photos, 4 days post-op. I’m still feeling good, and pain is very minimal. I’m not taking any meds. So far, I’m thrilled with the results. Starting to notice some itching, which I’m assuming is normal at the incisions are healing. Bruising has turned to a yellow.
