First of all: I had abdominoplastic, liposuction and gynecomastic.
Long story short: I got a WAY bigger scar, than the one I wanted (almost twice as big as I wanted it) + I had to pay a LOT of extras spontaneously + the service was just horrible. They made several big mistakes. For example the educational discussion was less than 1 hour before the operation. That is against the law and I will bring that to court.
On friday the 20th of december I came into the hospital and I was very very scared because of the operation. So they made some tests but not all of the tests that they told me before. I felt even more scared because a lot of tests were missing. Then the doctor came with an assistant. I told him, that I was very very scared of the operation. He told me I should not worry, everything is gonna be okay.
Then he tried to convice me for 360 or 270 degrees. I already said 3 or 4 times in May when I was in his office, that I don’t want that. And again: I was so scared, I felt so pushed by doctor Ilker Yazici. I don't even know why he said that again. He also said something about "I have to tell the sales team, that 180 degrees is not that good". I talked a lot of doctors in Germany and in Turkey. All of them were okay with 180 degrees.
After that, everything happened so fast...
Right after the doctor made the decision, the translator came and asked me to pay 1750€ more. (I already payed 6500€ for the whole operation). I said, that I obviously don't have this in cash. So they pushed me to pay it per transfer. I said I want to pay it later, but the translator said: "sorry the operation is about to start very soon, we have to do it now." So they pushed, pushed, pushed.
Then I paid 750€ and said I will pay the rest in cash (my mum had some left in the hotel). And guess what? More costs! 37,50€ for using transfer/ not paying cash. The translator said "Im sorry, but this is not on us. It's the hotel fee." - What?! What does all of this has to do with the hotel?!
And after the operation?
I woke up and a nurse changed the bottle of my drainage. He didnt speak english or german which was a big problem, cause I asked him, if everything is okay. His look and the way he spoke to me gave me a really bad feeling. I thought, that there were many many complications and they have to operate me again in a few hours. I completely paniced! My girlfriend and my mum were crying at the telephone because they got so scared. I wanted to cry as well, but couldn't because it was so painful to cry. It was the worst and horrible scenario you can imagine! After all it turns out, that the nurse had no clue he was talking about.
The next 3 days I spent at the hospital. Most of the nurses just didn't care. I pressed the button to ask for painkiller in the morning at 6:50. The first person who came into my room was the woman bringing breakfast at 8:30. Before that: Nothing! 1,5 hours with pain and noone reacts on your call.
On monday I got discharged of the hospital. And guess what? I had to pay my medicine extra. It was not included. And no, they didn't tell me about this. (Another 103,50€ extra)
Meanwhile my mother got sick (she came to Istanbul with me) and we needed another room for her, so i dont get sick after the operation. The agency of Dr. Ilker Yazici wanted to charge 90€ per night. My mum asked at the hotel: 61€ per night. So again they tried to make more money out of the sickness of my mum. They even told me, that it could be dangerous for me, to sleep in the same room with her after my operation.
And what was THE FIRST thing, that happened, when I was in my hotel room? Someone knocked at my door and wanted to have the rest of the money. This is ridiculous. All the time they wanted more and more money.
Then in my hotel room i realized, that I cant sleep on that bed. I can't stand straight up. So how can I lie down straight in bed? It's just not possible. The nurse in the hotel couldn't help me, the reception couldn't help me as well. The agency didn't help me and started to ignore my messages.
Now I'm in the hotel and guess what? More costs!
Meanwhile I asked how many patients this hotel had with abdominoplastic. The manager of the hotel told me "I know 3..." THREE! They seem to have 0 experience. This is why everything is going so bad.
Conclusion:
Overall I paid around 2500€ more than I expected.
I got a scar, that is way bigger than I wanted it to be.
They made so many mistakes and broke the turkish law several times.
And when I was back in my hotel room all they wanted was the rest of the money.
And yes, I already told them all of the problems. All they're saying is "We talk to our boss and get back to you asap." - Nothing happened. Last thing they offered me was waiving the last 850€ I owe them, if I dont go to court and publish this review. There you see how important money is for them. They didnt even try to give me a good feeling after all what happened.
I have already consulted 2 lawyers in Istanbul specializing in medical law.
I feel completely fooled. I feel like they used my fear to make even more money. And they wanted the money as fast as possible. And I would 100% NOT recommend this service. I was scared, in permanent stress and they really didn't care at all.
To Doktor Yazici and his agency: See you in court and on german television. I will also produce a YouTube video in german and english language to share this story. You're gonna be really famous. I hope you enjoy.
And to everyone else:
Whatever you do: DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING HERE!!! It is DANGEROUS!! You will regret it!
