Have had nothing but first class treatment from Dr Housego . After my procedures he has always been there for advise and follow up care All of his staff are respectful, caring and very helpful .......
Utterly unforgettable - really. After the liposuction procedure I had severe pain and muscle thickening on both sides of my chest. At follow up review I was told to do "lifting exercises" to loosen the muscle, this never happened. At that interview I asked Ian if he was going to be there when I came back in six weeks and he assured me he would. Well, guess what? He disappeared, like dust. So now I have no option other that source another medical expert to fix this ghastly mess, not happy Jan at all.
I made the mistake of choosing Dr Housego to perform neck liposuction, cheek + chin and chin implant surgery on me. Firstly, he and his staff never responded to my emails and never gave me the opportunity to customise my procedure. From the moment he put the cheek implants in they I knew they were much too big, and since then I have had many revision surgeries to ‘get it right’, however each time he went in to fix his previous mistakes he only made it worse. Six months after having them put in, and 3 surgeries later, the implants are now removed and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Unfortunately as a result of Dr Housego cutting my face open so many times, there is now unwanted bulk (especially the left side) in the form of scar tissue. While the chin implant has brought more symmetry and balance to my face, it still lacks forward projection and I believe I could have achieved a much better result had I chosen a different surgeon who would have listened to my needs. Much of Dr Housego’s decision making has consisted of ‘trial and error’ and I believe he does not understand the basic principals of male and female facial aesthetics. I must also mention, there has been a fairly consistent level of unprofessionalism with Dr Housego (at least in my experience anyway). There were just too many things that went wrong. For example, during one revision surgery he decided to operate on me despite not having the correct equipment and lighting. Another time he failed to use enough anaesthetic during the operation and continued to cut into me until I screamed out in pain. During another revision surgery he was constantly swearing at the staff member assisting him with the procedure and made us both feel very uncomfortable. My experience with his man has been nothing short of physically and emotionally traumatising. I spent many months last year hiding away from the world and worrying about my appearance as a result of the surgeries performed by Dr Housego. I strongly believe he DOES NOT have the experience he claims to have. My advice to anyone considering having cosmetic surgery is to research your surgeon thoroughly. Don’t make the mistake I made by choosing the most convenient/cheapest surgeon in the area. Travel interstate/overseas if you need to and find someone who knows what they’re doing.
Left with full thickness burns and permanent scarring to large sections of my body after Laser treatment from this doctor. Beware. Do not trust this doctor with anything relating to cosmetic treatments
Hi, I am left scarred and traumatised after Dr Ian Housego performed Liposuction surgery on me . I woke up on operating table screaming in pain while dr ian housego continued liposuction, my body went into shock and I was absolutely frezzing cold. Not once did doctor housego stop surgery and I kept saying please can you put something over me to keep me warm and I kept saying I'm trying to be strong and was in a lot of pain as the liposuction continued. My results 9 months post surgury are very traumatising as my stomach and legs are scarred with shocking lumps and indentations. I have to undergo surgery with another surgeon to correct as best as possible the damage Dr Ian Housego has done to my body. Strongly advise staying away from this doctor. Never experienced such an unprofessional surgeon ever and there is no doubt he needs to be held accountable and shut down from ever operating again. Dr Ian Housego is now under investigation. I don't want anybody to ever have to experience that kind of pain i endured on the operating table. When my surgery was over I had to sit up and stand on the floor in my own blood while I was bandaged up . I asked can I have paper towel under my feet so I don't slip on my blood. I was also promised a compresson suit but was told at the end they couldn't give me one and said to go to big w and buy a spandex suit. certainly not close to a medical compression suit] . Never want anybody to experience this kind of trauma ever.
