Dr. Stupak is an amazing doctor! He made me feel very comfortable with the procedure. Everything from the surgery to recovery went smoothly. Extremely satisfied with the results and experience! Highly recommended!
Doctor Stupak is a great surgeon. I had a surgery for my nose and everything went good thanks to the professionalism of doctor Stupak. He is a really careful person and was paying attention to the details all the time. Before the surgery he explained all the procedures he would follow. The treatment was really good.
Stay away from this man if you are looking for a cosmetic rhinoplasty! Really should be rated “0 stars”. In the Fall of 2019 Dr. Stupak ruined my nose. I should have been suspicious when I had two consults with him and his recommendations/plans were different each time, however he spent quite a bit of time with me, which initially put me at ease. I was concerned about the appearance of my nose after the rhinoplasty (nostrils disproportionate, a bump on my tip) but was told to give it time. Approximately 1 month following the surgery, another doctor told me I needed to make an appointment with Dr. Stupak immediately as a piece of my cartilage was protruding from my nose and at risk for perforation. I contacted Dr. Stupak’s office and despite this concern they were unphased and I was not scheduled immediately. I ended up missing the appointment as I live far from his Westport office and was stuck in traffic. Dr. Stupak’s office was not accommodating with regard to me working and living an hour away… again… despite this potentially serious situation. Dr. Stupak had even given me his cell phone number prior to surgery and told me to let him know how I was doing and to reach out with questions. When I texted him with concerns about my nose and the scheduling issues he coldly told me his personal cell was not for appointments (no problem taking my money but a problem taking my phone call). I truly believe that he knew he screwed up my nose and didn’t want to take responsibility. I ended up having a revision rhinoplasty a year later by a wonderful doctor in New York. She was horrified at Dr. Stupak’s work and told me that he used a very outdated technique (I believe it was a diamond technique… I could be wrong) and that he just cut cartilage and made a mess. Dr. Stupak’s horrendous work caused me mental anguish, missed time from work, low self esteem, financial hardship and distrust of doctors. I should have been refunded 100% but surgeons like Dr. Stupak are able to get away with snatching peoples money and not offering refunds or losing lawsuits as cosmetic results are “subjective”.
Hi Lauren73 You do have a deviated nose and septum, but your main problem is something called the Tension Nose Deformity. This requires a rhinoplasty procedure to fix, and simple septoplasty will be completely inadequate for you. You need to have rhinoplasty to address this over-sized septal cartilage. Then, you can return to being a nose breather at night, and will have your sleep symptoms like dry mouth and bleeding nostrils restored. Only a very specific type of rhinoplasty addresses these problems.
Hi Anne- In these pictures you have a classic tension nose, as seen at the upper lip and bridge fullness. The best thing to do is reduce the septal fullness at the bridge, and shorten the nose at the lip. Tip defining can be performed as well as bony improvements.
For sure you will do well with conservative Botox to lift the central portion of your brow! Not much is needed maybe 15-20 units
The Botox will fade over three months. Botox to the lower crows feet always weakens support of the cheek. I would avoid having this done in the future, but upper lid is fine and should be used for brow lifting.
I believe that your tip is droopy due to an overly long septum. The conventional answer is to add grafts but this may only partially help at best. Shortening and reducing the length of the septum and lower part of the bridge will help much more and minimally invasively. Unfortunately you will not find many surgeons who do exclusively this.
