Thank you for your questions. Skincare while on isotretinoin is very important to prevent dry, flaking skin which if not treated can lead to irritated, redness, discomfort and even skin infections. I often recommend gentle over the counter skincare using Aveeno, CeraVe, Cetaphil, Neutrogena or Vanicream brands. You will pick a cleanser for twice daily cleansing and a moisturizer for twice daily application. The one in the morning should have a broad spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or greater), as Isotretinoin increases your susceptibility to burns from sun exposure. I recommend having a lip balm such as Aquaphor to use several times throughout the day. Best of luck with your isotretinoin course!
