Dr Richardson saved my life and my sanity. I had a double mastectomy and she saved my nipples. Plastic surgeon put in implants and they look amazing She did what other surgeons said could NOT be done I adore her and she is very caring as well. Great office and staff too

I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Richardson to do my mastectomy. Her skill and bedside manner are above and beyond anything I had hoped for. I am grateful everyday that I was under her extraordinary care! She took what was a frightening situation and somehow magically made it pleasant! I was completely calm and confident in her which subdued all my fears and helped me through one of the most difficult times of my life. It is with overwhelming gratitude that I write this!

I would be completely lost if it was not for Heather and all the girls at the Bedford Breast Centre... Heather has held my hand for the last 4 months and kept me semi-sane during this time. Her capacity for compassion is extraordinary, and when she saw me heading in a direction she did not agree with, she gently persuaded me to make a better decision. She was so very generous with her time in answering my many questions regarding such a sensitive topic with my first time mastectomy, which was highly emotional for me. As many of the other women pointed out - receiving a Breast Cancer diagnosis is the most dreaded news you can imagine. You feel so out of control and helpless. All that changed after I was referred to Dr. Heather Richardson. As I sat anxiously awaiting her to open the door to meet for the first time and go over my biopsy report, my mind was racing. In walked this kind soul who, when I offered my hand to shake said, "No, I'm a hugger!" She hugged me - WOW! I never had that happen with a doctor. She immediately put me at ease, explained all the scary words in the biopsy, suggested I record it with my phone, in case I forget anything, (brilliant!!!), and made what I thought might be a death sentence, seem quite manageable. I got my control back the day I met Dr. Richardson. She continues to monitor me, respects and encourages my decision to handle my rebuilding and repair with a holistic approach. I woke up with a lump in my breast and panicked. I called my OB’s office, but he was in a delivery and couldn’t see me till the following day. His office recommended I call Bedford Breast Center. I immediately called and they got me in that afternoon. Dr Heather did an ultrasound and told me the lump looked safe, but she could do a biopsy if I wanted to confirm. I am an anxious person and have a friend who is fighting breast cancer, so I requested the biopsy. Dr Heather did it right then and then called me the next day to confirm I was OK. Thank God for Dr Heather and her amazing staff!

My experience with Dr. Richardson was awesome! I was a referral and sent all necessary papaerwork; thereafter I was booked and Dr. Richards took me right away. I was referred to Dr. Heather Richardson by my naturopath doctor for a massive lump measuring 8 cm on my left breast. I've never had any surgery before and naturally I had a lot of anxiety about the procedure. Dr. Richardson put all my worries at ease immediately and was very thorough and informative all throughout the process. She is a very gifted a surgeon with impeccable bedside manners. I ended up having 4 lumps removed from my left breast with very minimal pain and scarring. Overall, my surgery experience was an easy and smooth one and I can't be more grateful to Dr. Richardson.

I was referred to the Bedford Breast Center from my doctor at Cedar Sinai. I feel so blessed to have found this place. The staff is amazing and Dr. Richardson is incredible. They are all so patient and compassionate. I had a biopsy done in the office and within only two days the pathology reports came back. Dr. Richardson suggested to have the lump removed. I was so frightened and concerned that it was cancer. She reassured me that it was not cancer, but that it should be taken out to check for Phyllodes tumor. I had no idea what that was, but she walked me through the entire thing and educated me about the different types of lumps that can be found in the breast. She put my fears at ease. I was also impressed to how quickly Cel got me an appointment to complete the surgery, so that I could get peace of mind. The surgery was easy and I was back to work after a couple of days. And thank God my results came back normal and no Phyllode tumors were found. I feel so blessed! The service here was amazing!
