I have 4 children and lost my flat stomach years and years ago. I eat healthy, exercise right but nothing seemed to work. It actually was getting worse with age. One day I was into see my Dermatologist for a mole check and showed her the extra skin and she encouraged me to have a TT. 3 consultations later, I finally found the right Doctor for me and scheduled my procedures. My surgery was 7 weeks ago and I feel wonderful. The first 2 days were a little rough but after that each day got a little easier. I was thankful I had help around that first week, which really did make my recovery much easier.
I was surprised that I needed to take the 2nd week off of work. My Doctor strongly encouraged it, but I am pretty resilient and thought I'd be fine. I had minimal bruising, but I was especially sore in the flank area where I had liposuction. I was a little bored that second week post-op but I wanted to make sure I didn't do anything that could harm my results.
The new me
Last week I was away for 3 days in a warm climate and actually wore a bikini. It was an amazing feeling to walk in public and feel so good. I am so thankful that I went through with this surgery and am having a ball shopping for new clothes! I'm still wearing the garment at night and my Dr wants me in Spanx during the day. I also am back to working out, just being careful to avoid using my core muscles.
I think it is so important to trust and feel comfortable with your plastic surgeon. After meeting with Dr. Thors and his staff, I knew it was the best fit for me. They were so professional, yet at the same time so warm and caring.

I'm at 9 weeks post-op and having 'dog ear' surgery tomorrow and believe it or not... slightly nervous. Has anyone had it done?
I have read so many blogs and I know we are all different but want to assure those of you with surgery ahead... it is not that bad. I was off pain killers after 4 days and every day I am SO thankful that I made the choice to have it done!
