The increased pigment is partially caused by thickened skin in those areas.  Topical medicines with  keratolytic properties such as weak acids can provide some benefit.  An over the counter medicine called Amlactin is a good start.

Getting a massage 1 week after Botox should be perfectly safe.   In fact, even the next day would be safe!  I tell my patients to avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas for 4-6 hours after treatment.  Hope this helps!

I prefer Belotero for tear trough injections.  I find it to be the least likely to cause Tyndall effect and prolonged puffiness/swelling. As far as cheek enhancement goes, it depends on how much volume you are looking for. If you are looking for more significant volume I prefer Radiesse, but if not, either Voluma or Restylane lyft will do the trick.
