I am a 64 year old male and I was happy with an upper and lower blepharoplasty performed by Dr Grant Heinz in Mesa, AZ (PHX metro) last year. When I discussed my neck sagging with him, he said he could perform a ZPlasty neck lift and tightening of my platysma muscle. Since I had a large vertical scar from a childhood accident I thought his Z scar could even be an improvement with little risk. I had the procedure on a Friday morning and went back to work on Monday wearing a neck compression garment which I wore for one week. I have attached some photos from day 1 to current at 16 months later now. I am happy I had this done and enjoyed my conversations with Dr Heinz as well.
I had my upper eyelids done ten years ago at age 49. I chose an ocular plastic surgeon, because all he works on is eyes. He's the person people go to when their surgery has been blotched.Ten years later, I am still very happy with the surgery. It made more of a difference in my appearance than anything else I've had done. He made my uneven eyelids symmetrical, and the tired look continues to be gone. For me, it was well worth the money. The critical variable is the competence of your surgeon. Do your research before choosing a doctor.
It was brought to my attention my my optometrist, when I went for my annual eye exam. I have had some peripheral vision hindrance. He recommended a fine Ophthalmic Facial surgeon. I went for my consultation, and I had the procedure done. Very happy with my vision and the youthful look that came as a bonus. Updated on 11 Feb 2011:
It's only been 4 days but my skin especially above my lip look horrible. Can't tell if it's dry skin or wrinkles which I didn't have before. I was not given anything to put on it afterwards. It was painful and I'd never do it again. Blotchy and horrible. I do not recommend this procedure at all. I'm sick about it! Hoping it will heal but right now I'm sick!! Updated on 30 Aug 2016: maybe too early to tell....but still wouldnt do it again. just flaky and dry and see more wrinkles. love dr heinz...but this procedure i don't believe is for mature women
Although Dr. Heinz is good at what he does, his staff is nothing more than a used car sales department. They will say anything to close the deal. They will not disclose all of your costs and when you sign off on the procedure, the amount you have in mind can easily be multiplied by 5. There are far more ethical doctors to do business with. Unless money is no concern for you you should look at other places before signing your soul away to this guy.
I’m sure Dr. Heinz is great, but the staff at this office is totally incompetent. They failed to disclose basic costs and were confused about why I was there. I left the appointment with no confidence in staff, realized I didn’t want to be dependent on them after a surgery, and went elsewhere.
Women always need to keep in mind that hormonal changes can sometimes cause difficulty getting the desired results. you may need more treatments in these areas but should not be discouraged by trying it. It is very common, more then likely it will be successful and you will be happy with your results.
Microdermabrasion is simply a more aggressive exfoliation process. This is a great treatment to add to a facial because it helps get rid of the old dead skin cells that our body doesn't turn over quick enough. This can happen for many reasons. eventually your skin will need another treatment. It is safe to do microdermabrasion monthly
Using Kojic Acid/Hydroquinone Cream is great to use as a melanin suppressant. This is a great cream to use at home in between many esthetic services. It depends on the individual and their skin tone also why their aesthetician is doing the peel and its strength. To be on the safe side always stop using the cream 1 week before any large skin treatment and ask the clinician when you should start back up on it.
