I couldn’t be happier with the results of my surgery by Dr. Xu. She performed a complex breast revision procedure that corrected a number of issues and alleviated the pain that remained from a past surgery. The aesthetic results are stunning. Dr. Xu’s demeanor is warm; she listened to and addressed all of my concerns. Her staff is likewise warm and professional. I am so glad I selected her as my doctor.
Had lipo with her at AirSculpt and she is an amazing doctor!! So sweet and caring! Can’t wait to go back and see her at her practice in San Francisco for a tummy tuck once I’ve lost more weight! :) Thanks Dr. Xu!
I am very happy with my results. Dr. Xu did a great job, answered all my questions and what more to expect during my 3 month follow up appointment. An opportunity for improvement is to educate patients on what to expect post procedure, otherwise, care and service have been great!
Dr. Ginger Xu is incredible and super sweet during the whole process. I went to her originally for a breast augmentation after much research to find my ideal surgeon. She was knowledgeable, kind, and patient while she explained the procedure to me. During the consultation, she observed my lower abdominal scar with uneven tissue resulting from surgery due to a birth defect and suggested she can also fix it. I hesitated since I heard from the previous MD that the only option was “tummy tuck” and was advised to wait until after future pregnancy. Dr. Xu explained an alternative option which was an abdominal scar revision. I was interested and agreed to both procedures. On the day of surgery, Dr. Xu and the nurses took such good care of me. I was not nervous since the staff was very comforting and checked on me frequently during both pre-op and post-op. I am now 3 weeks post-op, and couldn’t be happier with my results thus far. I knew Dr. Xu would do great with the breast augmentation, but the scar revision on my lower stomach exceed my expectations. It was nice to see my stomach completely flat for the first time. Recovery was fast, and there was no need for me to take my pain medication after the third day. I can’t say enough good things and this was the best decision I did for myself. I normally don’t leave reviews often, but I wanted to write one as I know finding a doctor to trust with your body can be hard. If you’re contemplating seeing Dr. Ginger Xu, I 100% recommend her. For the price, it was reasonable and just having her as my surgeon makes it worth it! For references - I am 5’6, 140 pounds, and got 320 CC Sientra silicone gel, and under the muscle placement. I will be posting the results soon.
I went to Elite for AirSculpt on my arms. I am currently 2.5 weeks post op and am already loving the results (even though I still have some swelling). I can tell they got all the fat that they could so once I lose some weight in my bicep area, I know my arms will be the smallest they have ever been. One thing I was not expecting was the procedure to hurt/be uncomfortable. I felt like the medication I was given wasn't working but it was tolerable and the process only took 45 minutes tops. I would definitely go through the process again, in fact, I am in the process of scheduling Airsculpt for my legs. My cost was $7k for my arms. This was the mid-range I have found when compared to the Bay Area and I was really happy with the care that I got. There hasn't been much pain after the procedure but there was a bit of discomfort. All in all, it was a great experience and totally worth it! Loved loved loved Dr. Xu! She was such a sweetheart even though I was such a baby during the procedure. I will definitely be seeing her for future procedures.
I received Airsculpt of my entire stomach and sides and bra rolls. So far so good I feel much better after napping on my 1 1/2 hour drive back from Elite body sculpture. The Airsculpt was very easy to get through. Of course we all have different pain thresholds.!! The staff there, my nurse Blanca did a great job prepping me . I have been leaking quite a bit but it should be over I’m a couple days. Thank you Dr Xu! I will update when I have my first pre op appointment.
I am currently on day 7 but will start back from the beginning! So I am 32, no kids (yet), 5'5 and usually around 150 lbs. Not sure if it was a mix of the gym being shut down from quarantine and still continuing my normal eating/drinking habits or a series of changes with birth control but got to my heaviest of 170 the day of my procedure. I should mention I was working out at home but no real cardio. I got coolsculpting done in October on my abs but that was a temporary fix. I needed something permanent this time and after doing my research airsculpting was my decision. I decided to get the up a cup procedure with the fat taken from my full abdomen, love handles, bra roll and arm pit fat. When I was younger I lost a lot of my "baby fat" right before high school so I lost my boobs. They've been a little saggy since then (which worked in my favor and made me a good candidate for the procedure). My arm pit fat has always bothered me whenever I wear tank tops. My lower abdomen hasn't been where I wanted since college no matter what my weight was. So that's the background of how I got to my consultation. I did an online consultation and booked my appointment. I originally wanted the up a cup procedure with full abdomen and love handles but they said to add the back roll to have more fat for the transfer and complete the look. I realized that I'd feel more comfortable with an in person consultation before my procedure so I met with the doctor beforehand (which is when I added on the arm pit). The day of the procedure I worked a 12 hour shift overnight so I was already a bit groggy. We took pics and drew all the lines. Took 2 Xanax, 4 antibiotics and one other pain pill that dissolves in your mouth before going on the table. There's a mandatory pregnancy test too. Once on the table they give you a shot in your arm to help with the pain. After awhile they start the procedure with the initial numbing tool. Kind of felt like a little prick but the other pricks in the area you can't feel. Then they come in with the numbing tool which wasn't fun. Some of it wasn't bad at all, some was a lot of pressure, some just hurt but nothing you can't handle. The armpit area was the toughest because it's such a small area. Then the actual airsculpting wasn't bad just a massage. They did my right side and arm pit. The next side and arm pit. My abs then the transfer. The transfer was only annoying because apparently my fat cells are more fibrous so it wasn't as easy for the doctor to get through. Then they put you in your compression suit and help you up to the next room. I left right after they gave me the post op instructions. Had about a hour and a half drive home with my dad but I pretty much slept the whole way. It pretty much felt like a tough chest and ab workout. I leaked through on one side so had to change the pads before I went to bed. The morning after the pain was tolerable. I took my pills, had breakfast and was able to drive an hour to my house. Potholes are not your friend during this time! Most of day 2 I just rested besides to pick up a salad for dinner. Day 3 I was able to take a shower which was amazing! All the blood on my pads were dry so I only think I leaked the first day. I looked amazing! The foam pad was positioned weird so I kind of had an outline on my lower abdomen so after my shower I moved it down. I was able to go to brunch and shopping. It's hard to reach for things so the grocery store was a bit tough at times. Day 4-6 are about the same, you just feel stuffed and annoyed with the suit and bra. On day 6 I woke up with a heat rash on my right side where the compression bra is so I put some hydrocortisone on it. I cannot wait to get through today because I can remove the foam board and have some more room! I've read that people have ordered other suits on Amazon so may have to do that soon. I do have some bruising that seems to be getting uglier so that means it's trying to heal lol. The incisions seem to be healing really well so far and so happy with my results so far. Boobs are still tender but I'm sure that will last awhile. I will post after my first follow up appointment!
I had full abdomen, inner thighs and half of back bra rolls done yesterday and so far so good! I had originally wanted to do a fat transfer to breasts but Dr Xu was awesome and very clear with me that I was not an ideal candidate and only had enough volume to go up a half cup after absorption. The Sales girl was equally helpful and realistic about what results I could get. I am grateful they did not try to sell me on something that would have been disappointing. Dr Xu did recommend I do the very bottom of my back to help achieve a curvier look and I'm excited to see how it goes, definitely think it was the right call. Surgery day was better than I expected. My nurse was so funny. I had read reviews that said they don't talk to you and it is a bad experience but mine was the opposite. She kept me entertained and less nervous with dancing and her infectious positivity. And when she and doctor Xu came in I was rocking out to the frozen sound track so they played it for me in the operating table! They totally talked to me and were so kind and positive. I don't know why I was thinking it was a totally painless procedure, but there are spots that hurt. Sort of a 4 or 5 of 10, mainly the inner thighs but that could have been because my procedure took a few more hours than expected originally, and I'm a lightweight despite weighing 158 lbs and being German so I asked for a lower dosage of meds. The abdomen where we started I didn't feel a thing. The time after was a bit more full on than I expected. I'm glad I had help. My mom had helped me prep and I'm glad she did. We got plastic lined felt Picknick blankets to put over and under me in bed. We also got towels and those dog pee pads in the car, and old PJs could just throw away after. You lose a ton of fluid that first 12 hours and since there is some blood on it it freaked me out but my mom said it was totally normal. It is less than 24 hours later and I haven't had drainage all day. A few other things that have been super helpful- a she-wee!! Omg amazing. It is a funnel that allows girls to pee standing up and is genius. Makes it much easier, especially with the inner thighs being tender so you don't want to sit. Baby wipes Super Maxipads with no wings (since there is a big hole in the crotch of the garment and there is compression, it keeps your lady bits comfortable) Adult diapers for ladies with incontinence- I will likely only use them 48 hours but it was helpful that first night. I haven't needed them recently but better than ruining my own undies and no worries on creases. O got a size up. Coconut water, bananas, chicken soup, unsweetened unflavored pedaling, and any food you want handy. I'll post photos at the 1 week mark and will include the before and 48 hour in pictures. Also, today is still within the first 24 hours and my pain level never exceeded a 2-3. There is a ton of pressure though and it is hard to maneuver, so it is kind of like going around in a sumo suit and hard to.do things for yourself. I think it will get better when the pads and stuff come out after day 2, and when the swelling goes down end of week. Updated on 30 Apr 2021: This was pre shower just so you know what to expect. I was super freaked, especially because the pads had left weird textures and imprints, particularly in the thigh, but my mom said it is totally normal (she worked for plastic surgeon). Since then the thighs have equalized and don't have any weird dents. Get that compression garment back on asap, and don't forget the foam board. Apparently it is how you prevent a line down your tummy. Updated on 7 May 2021: 10 days in and things are going well. Swelling is coming down after spiking day 3 and 4, so I am a lot more comfortable. I'm glad I took the week of surgery off. Working day 6 and day 7 (Monday and Tuesday) was doable but not super comfortable, I was still getting so tight and swollen and couldn't quite zip any pants with the foams. Definitely noticeable at the office that I had had surgery. However by Friday it is way more subtle. Suddenly on day 7 I could walk at my normal pace which my mom says is fast, and am at about 5-8000 steps a day and taking it easy. (Normally do a lot more). Sitting can lead to feeling like an overstuffed sausage and your skin gets really tight, but I find light stretching and walking really helps break that up. I haven't really had pain and don't use a pain med at all. I do use arnica tablets. Updated on 9 May 2021: Today is day 12. I put an extra foam in the compression garment in the back last night to help with swelling and it made a big difference! The thighs still feel tight and swollen at the top so I think I'll see more of a difference at the 4 or 6 week mark. For now they look the same. But the overall shape of the abdomen is awesome. They had warned me there is only so much they could do because of my bone structure (which was funny because I thought this is what I had always just told myself) so there is very little room between hip bones and ribs, but it is convex where it used to be concave and the inflection point in the curves is in a more attractive spot making my torso look longer. I love it, and it gets better every day! Updated on 19 May 2021: It is pretty hard to get photos on your own, especially of back angles. It is not actually lopsided, I just end up twisting a little to hold the camera and push the button. I'm still swollen in the sides, back, and top of thighs but it is going down a lot and there is a lot less friction when I walk than before. Hopefully that top part gets a little wider. Updated on 19 May 2021: At three weeks they are back to looking nearly identical to how they started. However, the circumference is one inch smaller at the top of each thigh, and I do notice significantly less rubbing when walking. Also, the lumpiness I had been worried about is all gone. Hopefully swelling continues to reduce and we see more of a difference but lifestyle wise I'm very glad for less friction when in yoga pants. My hope is to have comfort walking in bare legs like bathing suits and dresses Updated on 30 May 2021: Yesterday I did a 3 hour hike with 1000 foot elevation gain with no limitations. There was some less chafing in my legs but they do still touch. I like the overall results and am excited to get active to continue to contour and just get strong. Dr Xu gave me a beautiful and natural shape. For people wondering if they should just diet, I included a photo from when I worked hard to achieve the best I could with diet and exercise. I look similar, but the airsculpt makes my boobs look awesome right now as normally at the weight it takes for my abdomen to look leaner the boobs are gone. And even with weight loss I could never get quite that shape in the back profile, and I was an inch bigger at the belly button. These results are perfect for me, as I was originally considering a brest enhancement, which is how I found airsculpt. The bruising is all healed and the scars are getting a lot better. I use vitamin E oil regularly. The inner thighs I don't recommend for the price, though I guess these aren't the final final results. I still have some swelling in the flanks and back but overall doing well healing. Very happy with the results.
I’ve never had any type of procedure done and decided to book an appointment for air sculpting at Elite in Roseville, Ca. All I know is that I wanted to get rid of the excess fat I gained. I had full abdomen, back and bra roll. They gave me the option to fat transfer for power BBL but I opted out but I wanted to focus on getting back into a manageable shape. My appointment was 12/08/20 and I found out a week before I was assigned to Doctor Xu. I showed up and was so nervous the day of the appointment. Doctor Xu was super nice and caring during pre-op. She knew I was scared and assured me she was going to do her best to give me the best results. During the procedure, it was honestly painless. I felt the incisions which felt like small ear piercings then I saw the fat leave my body. I watched the tubes and containers fill with my fat. Doctor Xu took her time and she knew when I feeling more sensation in other areas. I really felt she was caring and not just another patient at the office. She called me after the procedure to check on how I was doing on my drive home. Post op, three weeks later, I am still wearing the compression garment and foams. I feel and see a significant difference in the treated areas. I am hopeful after all the swelling has gone down, I will be back into the shape I wanted to be. Overall the treatment was not what I expected, but better. Doctor Xu and her staff made this experience positive and I’m excited for my final results. Yes, pricey but it was worth it being awake knowing I was receiving quality treatment. 5’4, 160lbs, one child
Going here was the biggest mistake I ever made and I truly regret it. I wish I had never met Dr. Xu or fell for their bullsh*t sales pitch... "You're going to be so snatched", "Your the poster child for far transfer", "You'll continue to get more snatched as you heal", "You're very fit so you'll have great results", "You don't need skin tightening. Your skin will naturally tighten back", etc. The photo I posted isn't even the worst of it either.
