I saw Dr. Snow for my invisalign consultation at one of his secondary offices (not in Palmdale). He was very friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that after 3 months I have still not seen him again. I would appreciate seeing the him at each of my visits rather than just the tech. Overall, I am happy with all the staff.
I have been with Snow Orthodontics for about 2 years now and I have never been happier with my smile. Dr. Snow helped with invisalign even when other orthodontists told me invisalign would not work for me, they were wrong. Dr. Snow came highly recommended directly from invisalign and was popular in Santa Clarita. I would rarely smile because of how much I disliked my teeth. I am on my last few weeks and love that I can smile and be comfortable with my teeth, I never thought I would own such a beautiful smile. Every time I go in, every one is as friendly as can be, and Dr. Snow always takes me step by step to tell me how I'm coming along. I am very thankful for the work they've for me and I would recommend them to everyone, even if you think it wont work for you. If it can be done Snow Orthodontics can give you a smile you'll love.
If you have lots of time to spare, come here. People are friendly enough, but not efficient enough.
While everyone is different there is a risk reduction when wearing Invisalign. A study in Florida showed fewer TMJ symptoms than those wearing braces and those wearing neither braces nor Invisalign. The explanation is quite simple. Clenching can cause or aggravate TMJ symptoms. Wearing Invisalign reduces clenching, hence we get a reduction in TMJ symptoms. The reduction is not 100%. There are some that can develop more symptoms but the odds are in your favor.
Problems with speech created by Invisalign are temporary. The more your son speaks the faster his speech will improve. He should be back to normal within two weeks at the most. Since he already has a lisp there is a good chance the front teeth do not meet when he bites down. Invisalign is a good tool to help close the bite. He should use the inside edge behind the front teeth as a reference to hold the tongue at rest. That way his tongue will not force the front teeth apart. You should still see a speech therapist to eliminate the lisp. There are other options like braces but Invisalign may be the ticket for you.
If there is a lot of crowding you may not see the results right away. Space has to be made before crowded teeth can start moving with Invisalign. The space can be created by smoothing some of the enamel between the teeth ( no damage to the enamel), extracting teeth, or expansion. If spaces have to be closed you will see results immediately. Bottom line is that you can see the entire process on your computer.
There are all kinds of complicated cases being treated with Invisalign. Many of these case require the use of other appliances including braces. When we use braces with Invisalign we place them on a temporary basis and we place them where they are not seen. It is also possible after completion that you are not satisfied with the results. At that time you can have more aligners made. Worst case, braces can always be placed at the end. On the other hand, there are a lot of cases that actually finish faster and better with Invisalign.
You look like one that has trouble breathing through his mouth. When that happens the tongue drops down automatically to narrow the upper jaw and open the bite. You have a hard time biting small things in the front. Your tongue needs to be trained to touch the roof of your mouth as you rest. The upper jaw should be the shape of your tongue. Yours is not. The upper needs to be expanded. As the jaw narrowed your teeth then did not have room to remain straight. Invisalign can widen your teeth and close your bite. Then plan on wearing a retainer every night the rest of your life so you don't face the same situation a third time.
