Hello, dear all. I am very excited to write review. My operation will be next week in Italy, Milan. I want to write my review because there are few information in English for those who want to be operated in Italy and don't speak Italian. I live in Lugano, Switzerland. I also have seen two surgeons here, but what I want to say is very important to find a surgeon who you can believe and trust. I have totally "0" breast. Doctor advised me to go for 320ml round implants under the muscle. Updated on 9 Jun 2016: Today I'm 2 days post operation. The operation was in Villa Letizia Clinic in Milan, staff was very nice. My surgeon was very professional, was answering to all my questions, even if I was asking many times. It was under general anesthesia. The inplants were placed under the muscle. Tomorrow I'm going to take off drains. I would say if you want to do it, just do it!!!!!
The umbilicus is not removed or changed during the procedure so it is exactly the same before. In order to avoid that with the traction of the skin excess it is disclocated a hole is made in the abdominal skin where exit the umbilicus. This leaves a periumbelical scar. It is important do discuss with your surgeon all this aspects of the operation in order to avoid any unpleasent surpise
Breast lifts leave scars because the procedure remove the skin excess and reshape the breast. Sometimes it is possible to obtain a minimal lift using only an implant, better if the anatomic one but in most of the cases a skin resection is required. I do not like periareolar mastopexy as they flatten the breasts but in selected cases can be useful.
Even when it seems that no bleeding occurs before inserting the implant some fluid usually collects which is removed by drains. In case of more bleeding drains avoid to come back back in the OR which is cause of disconfort for the patient and also of economical expences. The disadvantages are a minimal scar of which tha patients never complain and some limitation in the movement which can be useful in the firs 2 PO days to avoid implant displacement or bleeding
