I recently went on my THIRD consultation. The first board certified surgeon said I did not need a lift. The 2nd said I desperately needed one and no way would it look right without one. We even did the electronic photo scan thing (no idea what its called) and she showed me that a 425cc implant would droop down into a ball and wouldnt look right. She recommended we do a lollipop lift and 425-450 maybe even 500cc. That seemed rather large to me. I am glad I got another opinion. Dr. Burruss with Memphis Plastic Surgery Group explained everything to me. From all the risks we don't want to hear to the technical sides and the percentage of infection rates etc. Boring to some, but important information to me. He showed me some before and afters of his patients in a photo book, patients that had the same breast symmetry as I, and what their implant looked like without a lift. He also advised me that doing a lift with implants in one procedure was dangerous and your risks for infection increased a lot. This to me made sense, you're wanting your body to expand for the implant yet your cutting skin off to lift them. He recommend if I ever decide to do a lift that we come back 6mn-1yr the augmentation and all the breast tissue has healed. Long story short his female assistant and I decided on 450cc moderate plus. She said this would fit best for my chest. Before I had children I was big chested and would like that same look back! I just don't want to go too big! What do you guys think? Would 450cc moderate plus be to big, under muscle, inframammary incision. Since I have had two pregnancies with extended nursing on both would my implant look saggy?

Had the surgery at 7am this morning, everything went smoothly. I asked the doctor to try the 425cc implant first to see if it would look okay, they decided that the 450cc looked much better in me. I don't remember much about waking up but my husband has a video of me saying that he is the sexiest thing alive ; ) I remember the 25min ride home being super bumpy and painful. I could not get comfortable at home. The "elephant" on my chest was rather heavy, it was hard to talk and breathe. After I took a Loritab for pain and Zofran for nausea I took a 2hr nap and felt much better. I didn't think I would be able to take pain meds because of how sensitive I am to medication but its been working fine for me, I could do without the drowsiness though. I did later in the day decide to catch up on a little work and switch over to Tylenol for pain vs the Loritabs. I feel MUCH better!!! The implants look wonderful and I cannot wait for them to settle. I did start stool softer last night, hopefully that will help with the funky pouch I'm sporting currently. Dr. Burruss did a fabulous job!
