Invisalign offers 3 "refinements"  (additional aligners) with each Invisalign Full treatmentto hopefully com;eye your treatment.. However, Invisalign Express which limits the aligners to 10 or less does not offer refinement aligners. 

It sounds like you have gone to a general dentist since he "closed" your spaces with composite restorations.

Unfortunately general dentists are not really trained in orthodontics .... of any kind. As such, there is a major difference in training and experience between an orthodontist and a general dentist. I would suggest that you see an orthodontist if you seek re-treatment.

Many people are drawn to the "corporate: clinics because of their advertising and "lower" fees.

The "corporate" orthodontic clinics tend to hire new graduates who have just completed their orthodontic residencies. They are all very intelligent and well educated but lack experience.

Unfortunately when more than one orthodontist is involved in treatment unless there is a excellent communication treatment may not be as efficient.

Invisalign can be an excellent choice for an adult who need orthodontic treatment with the advantages of being non-visible and better compliance from an adult. However, an orthodontic specialist is the best person to determine if Invisalign is a good choice for you or not.

The Herbst appliance is intended to stimulate mandibular (lower jaw) growth. After the Herbst appliance, most orthodontists put on braces to make the teeth fit the existing post-Herbst jaws.If you still have a small openbite, I would advise that you see your or another orthodontist for an re-evaluation. 

The quick answer is yes.

However, an orthodontist would still need to see you in person to know for sure.

Photos are nice but cannot compare to actually seeing you.

As an orthodontist, we would need to see you in person (do an examination) to know if you are candidate for Invisalign treatment.

There is an Invisalign product made for teenagers called Invisalign Teen so you may be a candidate for it?

Orthodontists would describe your situation (as shown in the photo) as an "underjet" i.e. your upper front teeth are located behind your lower front teeth. Orthodontic diagnostic records (x-rays, photos and models) would be need to accurately answer your question. However, if your lower jaw is not larger than your upper jaw and your upper front teeth are tipped back then Invisalign would work.

However, complete diagnostic records would really be needed to know for sure.

There are two common types of Invisalign treatment:

1. Invisalign Express which is 10 aligners or less.

2. Invisalign Full which includes 2-3  refinements (new impressions and new series of aligners) ie as many aligners as needed.

If your treatment s Full Invisalign treatment ten you are getting an exceptional deal on cost.

Go for it!

Invisalign struggles with "extruding"  and "rotating" round teeth.

As such, partial metal braces may be used first to accomplish some of the tooth movements that are difficult for Invisalign to do.

Invisalign excels at closing spaces resulting from earlier extractions. Retention afterwards will also be very important.

However,  if the patient has an active tongue thrust habit that will need to be addressed by a speech pathologist to avoid the spacing returning after active treatment has been completed.
