I want a bigger implant. I’ve had a fat transfer to my breast, now I have lumps. Is this possible? What should I do?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I would agree with the previous answers.  It is not unusual to have lumps from grafting but it is important to discern whether they are solid or cystic.  An ultrasound would be best to determine.  If they are cystic or lipid filled cysts than a needle aspiration with fix the issue.  If they are from fat necrosis and scar then they may improve with massage or your surgeon may recommend excision.  It is very important to have your mammograms done to discern scar from possible cancer.  If any question than a MRI would be beneficial.

Am I crazy to not want a lift? And do these look big enough to be 470 cc's? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
It is difficult to determine if the implants will settle.  Are they dual plane, submuscular or subglandular?  I would recommend wearing a band on top of the upper most part of the implant to try and push the implants down.  This may improve but if not than you may consider a lift.

Downsize & change profile, good candidate? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
There appears to be multiple issues going on.  I agree the implant size and profile is to large, downsizing and using moderate plus implants are a good idea.  It looks like the implant is sub glandular not sub muscular dual plane.  I would switch to silicone and place submuscularly, changing the pocket.  Also you should discuss fat grafting the sternal border and possibly consider anatomic/shaped textured implants.  Good luck.  Make sure you are seeing a board certified plastic surgeon!!!!

I'm having several issues with my breast implants and need advice on how to handle it with my PS. (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
It is difficult to determine exactly what is going on.  Smooth round saline implants defiantly can bottom out if the fold was lowered.   It appears you are very thin and don't have a lot of soft tissue coverage.  It would also be helpful to know how far out from the original operation you are.  There are options to address these issues and I would talk to your board certified plastic surgeon.  If they are not board certified plastic surgeon then I would seek consultation from someone who is in your area.  Fat grafting and the use of acellular dermal matrix may come up in the conversation about options to address these issues.  Good Luck

Will I Still Be Able to Do Yoga and All the Movements After my BA?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You certainly should be able to get back to your yoga practices it will just take time.  Usually 6 weeks before full return.  It will also depend on whether you are having subglandular or subpectoral implants.  Speak with your board certified plastic surgeon.

Tubular Breast Correction Bad? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

This is obviously a challenge for most plastic surgeons as you can see by the responses. It is important to understand that this may improve with time. It would also be helpful to know what the time between photos. It also appears that you could have a capsular contracture on the left. I would follow up with your surgeon.

I'm 20 Years Old and Am Unsure if the Saline Implants I Get Will Be the Best Think for Me? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Waiting one year to be able to have the option for silicone implants is not a huge issue especially when you are looking at your entire life.  By waiting the year you are eligible for silicone and this is an elective operation.  The placement of the implant has mostly to do with the amount of soft tissue in the upper region of your breasts.  See a board certified plastic surgeon to go over all these options.

I Got Breast Augmentation About 3 Weeks Ago. Fear of Infection?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It is always best to be seen by your original surgeon and discuss concerns you might be having about your postoperative course.  There can be differences in healing between sides, this is not uncommon.  It is important that your surgeon knows what is going on and if there is a change they especially need to know.

2 months post op, 300cc implants under the muscle. Are My Breast Implants Bottoming Out? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It is never the same as seeing the patient in person but based on these pictures it appears the implant is a bit low.  The rippling issue has more to due with the implant and lack of soft tissue.  It also appears that you have high profile implants and maybe moderate plus would have been a better options.  Return to your surgeon and have them address your concerns.  You may also want a true second opinion.

I Have Had Breast Implants for 15 Years; Experiencing a "Sloshing" When I RuN?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It is difficult without a full exam to determine the nature of your concerns.  You should see a board certified plastic surgeon where you live now to be evaluated.  Sometimes tests such as ultrasound or MRI are need to evaluate the implants so don't be surprised if they recommend one or both of these studies.  It would also help to know if they are saline, silicone or dual chamber implants.  Good luck.

Best doctor ever - he did exactly what I wanted

Dr. Tuma is so extremely skilled at his practice. I was a very difficult case and he did exactly what I wanted. He is patient and takes his time with his patients. Tummy Tuck

Great Results with Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift

I am 55 and chose to do both procedures at once- tummy tuck and breast reduction/lift. I am so glad I did both at same time as my recovery was totally manageable thanks in large part to Dr. Tuma's technique and using the latest local anesthetic. Pros: relatively easy recovery ie very little pain, great results (wish I did it yrs ago!), not much down time (2 wks) Cons: hated sleeping on back, hated the required restrictive garments (order larger size then they say), my back killed me for about 2 wks from hunching over bec i was nervous about standing straight up

Breast Reconstruction

My reconstruction went smoothly

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Tuma and his entire team. They helped me through my breast cancer diagnosis with tremendous care and respect. After meeting with him and seeing his work I knew that my decision to have a double mastectomy was the right one. Throughout the entire process he was incredibly patient and understanding of my concerns. Every time I left his office I felt such relief. He did an amazing job at putting me back together. My reconstruction went smoothly. I feel like a whole person now and honestly, my new, reconstructed breasts look great. Him, and his team are angles. Truthfully, I look forward to my appointments.

Breast reduction - I look and feel amazing!

As a female child growing up, you look forward to the day you begin to develop into a young woman. My development was not fair as I called it, growing up with noticeable uneven breast was not eye pleasing. My confidence level was at minus zero, I was not happy. But a HUGE thank you to Dr. Gary A. Tuma, M.D., FACS and his WONDERFUL staff, I look and feel AMAZING !!

Breast Reduction with Dr. Tuma

I had my reduction with Dr. Tuma on 11/30/20. It was deemed medically necessary and funded by insurance. I'm not sure what the actual cost is. My experience was amazing. I had very little pain and he didn't use drains. I went from a 36 F to a 36 large C/ small D. I have nipple sensation in one breast so far but it's only been 3 days...I'll give it time. Updated on 18 Nov 2021: I’m so happy with the results! I can wear whatever I want and I’m amazed that I can go bra-less if I want to and they stay perky. Updated on 19 Nov 2021: One year after.

Mini Tummy Tuck

Dr. Tuma is Amazing

Dr. Tuma and his staff go above and beyond to give their patients the best experience possible. Whether it is an injection appointment, pre/post-surgical appointments, or skincare appointments, I have always felt extremely comfortable and well taken care of. The appointments start on time, the staff is extremely professional and courteous, and Dr. Tuma is a phenomenal surgeon. Earlier this year I had a mini tummy tuck and I am beyond thrilled with my results; and they just keep getting better. Dr. Tuma did an amazing job and I cannot say enough about Dana. She checked on me every day to see my progress and to make sure that I was okay, offering suggestions for post-op care as time went on. I was a sales rep in the plastic surgery industry for some years and I saw dozens of local board-certified plastic surgeons perform surgery; I chose Dr. Tuma for my own personal surgery. that speaks volumes.

Dr. Tuma is an amazing doctor

I am very self conscience about my body and was very nervous going to see Dr. Tuma. Well, when he came in, I felt 100% at ease. He did not make me feel bad about my body, just the opposite. He really cares about his patients. He kept in constant contact with me before my surgery and even more, after my surgery. His whole team was fantastic. After my surgery, they came in my room 5 times a day. I have never seen that before. They made sure I was completely comfortable and no in pain. When I came home it was still the same. They called constantly and made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable at home. It was an amazing experience. Dr. Tuma and his entire staff cares about their patients. If anyone needs surgery, he is the Dr. to go to. Any issues I had, he would call me ASAP and take care of it. He is just amazing, along with his entire staff, from nurses, to PA assistants to the office staff. They all work well together and truly care about you. Plus the amazing job he did, I was cut hip to hip and he did an amazing job. I thought I would look horrible, the scar is disappearing. He works miracles.

It was like a miracle

Dr. Tuma is an excellent plastic surgeon. I had a breast reduction with a fantastic result. He will answer any questions you have about your surgery. I didn't have any pain and he didn't use drains. I liked that I was able to shower within 48 hours after surgery. I love how I look and would recommend Dr. Tuma as a plastic surgeon.
