I am glad that I finally had the courage to begin the Mona Lisa Touch procedure. I am 51 and menopause had put a huge damper in my sex-life for the past year. My husband and I have always had a very healthy sex life until about a year ago. Sex had become extremely painful (I would actually bleed from internal tearing). Dr. Mallard-Warren, MD has changed my life. I suffer from Lichen Schlerosis (a non-curable thinning skin in the vaginal area causing constant extreme itching, irritation, dryness, and pain during intercourse). Dr. Mallard treated my condition with the Mona Lisa laser treatment for LS. Previously I had tried estrogen cream and a topical steroid cream which made very little difference in the discomfort of this condition. I had 5 laser treatments (covered by insurance).
