I had my bodytite procedure done this past monday (6/17) on my abdomen and flanks. I was led to believe the recovery wasn't going to be as significant as it is, but none-the-less I chose to have this done so I have to deal with it now. (lol) The first day was okay, the second day was the worst, and it has gotten better with each day since. I am still extremely numb around my abdomen, sore, and itchy. I am a little discouraged with how things turned out, as I didn't expect this much discomfort, but I am hanging in there. My surgeon is very responsive, so that helps a lot. Updated on 22 Jun 2019: Here are before and 4 days after photos for my bodytite procedure. I am still pretty swollen and my stomach is very numb. Although its only 4 days I can see a difference in my waist already. Looking forward to seeing more progress as the days continue. Updated on 24 Jun 2019: I'm one week post-op and I have an appointment with my surgeon tomorrow to have my stitches removed. (ouch?) I feel like I'm a little more swollen today than I was when the last picture was taken, but hopefully that will start to dissipate soon. Still numb/uncomfortable .. Especially within the time that I'm showering and not wearing my compression garment, but definitely not as bas as the first couple days! Updated on 1 Jul 2019: So I’m 2 weeks P/O! Still swollen, still numb. Had a lymphatic drainage massage done and that helped sooo much. I’ll be going back for more of those. Just kind of taking it a day at a time. Went to a 2-day concert outside in the sun and with thousands of people around and it was okay. I’m getting better! Updated on 12 Jul 2019: I'm actually about to be 4 weeks post op, so this is a little late. Still feel numb and uncomfortable. I've been getting lymphatic massages which definitely help the uncomfortability. Getting there. Pictures are before, one week, two weeks, and 3 weeks. Updated on 30 Jul 2019: I am now six weeks post op (as of yesterday.) I am pretty much good to go in terms of moving around etc. I am still numb and swollen - the swelling is annoying me the most. I can’t tell what I actually look like because of the swelling. Getting there slowly but surely. Updated on 6 Aug 2019: I was 7 weeks PO yesterday and I went for a check up today. Had to get cortisone shots in a couple spots with he’d lumps that haven’t dissolved, but all in all doing well. I was reminded that the feeling may not come back for up to 6 months and to be patient!
I have been wanting breast implants ever since my cheast stayed a 32a and everyone else I knew grew to be a C or D. I was always insecure and never felt pretty naked. I had researched and researched and found Dr. Frederick Coville of Linwood NJ. He did such an amazing job!!!!!!!!! So sweet, knowledgeable, just hands down the best around!!!! He took his time to answer every question I had.. and even informed me of things I didn't know. There was so many different decisions but being that I described to him what I wanted my breast to look like, with his expertise he helped me choose the perfect implant!!!!!!! I am sooooooo pleased! I went from an 32 A to a D.. My scars are so minimal.. Im telling you girls.. if you are in the tri state area and want implants , want to look sexy in a bikini for summer, want to look sexy for your man, go see Dr. Frederick Coville!
I’m not pleased my result. I had a scar on my eyelid and was told the scar could be hidden with an upper blepharoplasty. I did an in person consultation and a virtual consultation. It wasn’t until I paid, was in the surgical gown, and medicated with Xanax when the doctor told me because of the placement of the scar he’d have to cut below where a typical blepharoplasty is done; which would leave another visible scar. I agreed to proceed with the surgery because at that point what else could I do? I just hoped the new scar would be minimal and still look better than the one I had before. Aside from that it was difficult to book the surgery. The main line goes to the receptionist. The receptionist doesn’t book surgeries, the patient coordinator does. The coordinator was always unavailable when I called and would never call me back. This went on for several weeks until I left an irritated message with the receptionist. The doctor could also improve his bedside manner. He said a few things that I found to be off-putting but what stood out the most was during the surgery he had on a head light that was extremely bright. When he first turned it on it caught me off guard and I casually (not in a complaining tone) said “that light is bright”. He responded in a rude tone saying “well I need to see”. I initially chose this doctor because of his credentials and the fact that his price was cheaper that going to a doctor in New York City where I live, but with the travel expenses I ended up paying about the same. Do I think the scar is better? Yes, but only slightly, definitely not worth doing the surgery for- but you can look at my before at after to judge for yourself. Hopefully you can tell which is which. The after photo was taken six months after surgery. Updated on 31 Dec 2023: The first photo I uploaded was too close. Here’s an additional photo of the after.
Hi and thanks for your question. Laser hair removal will destroy the hair follicle at it's root because of the pigment that is there. The heat that is generated by this destruction may cause a temporary heating of the surrounding tissues which include some superficial sweat glands. It cannot permanently destroy the sweat glands but you may see a temporary decrease in sweating. There are however, lasers that can destroy sweat glands as well as some radiofrequency devices. In my practice I love using Precision TX or BodyTite devices to deal with excessive armpit sweating. They both work great and patients are very happy after only one treatment. Precision TX uses laser and BodyTite uses radiofrequency. Hope this helps! Be Well Dr. Fred Coville Cornerstone Plastic Surgery, Linwood, NJ
