I found Dr Borja online since I live in the United States, specifically in Miami. I liked his website, I saw some B/A cases and I contacted the numbers. The doctor answered the call and I told him I was interested in a rhinoplasty. He listened to me attentively and told me that he needed to assess me in order to know what we were going to do and what I needed. I liked that because I had called other doctors in Ecuador who gave me surgery budgets ??and I thought how they would give a price without even having seen me (or my nose). Well, as I felt very sad and anxious because I've always had complexes with my nose since a girl at high school, I bought a ticket to Guayaquil and scheduled my appointment with him. The waiting room is small but cozy. The assistants are friendly. I thought I could wait less, but it seems this doctor takes his time with each patient so I had to wait for quite long. He explained to me very detailed what I needed and at the end he sent me a tomography where it showed that had a great nasas deviation from the septum. I felt very relieved because I suffered a kick in my nose as a child while playing and could not breathe well, so I knew I would have a solution to this and that made me feel more optimistic about this procedure. The surgery was scheduled for the following week, I did all my blood exams and also the tomography. Something that surprised me was that I was also operated by an otolaryngologist to operate the functional part. I got up from the anesthesia without pain. The nurses treated me well in my recovery room, even though I could only understand a bit of Spanish I could communicate with them quite proficiently. My nose took a little time to reduce the inflammation since they had to do a functional as well as aesthetic procedure but the results were optimal. I am very happy with my nose and I can breath very much normal!
