We are at the beginning of this process but so far, I’ve been really impressed. After gathering all the data, x-rays, scans, and of course an in-person exam, Dr. Gibbs made a well-thought-out, comprehensive, personalized orthodontic plan for my child and I am looking forward to seeing the eventual results! Also, everyone who works here is nice, professional, and friendly. I would recommend this practice to my friends.
Every office has a different policy on how they schedule Invisalign cases. In most cases, you can have a consult and impressions for the system on the same day. After your Dentist submits the case to Invisalign, they must wait for the case to be reviewed before the aligners are made. So If you are working on a tight schedule, you may want to call the office you plan on going to and asking what their policy is. Mention that you are moving and they will be able to help you with how best to begin treatment. It may be advisable to start treatment in the place you will be moving to.
Retention is an important part of your overall orthodontic treatment plan. Depending on the diagnosis and treatment plan done for your individual case, your orthodontist will determine the best method for retention of the final result. Tooth movement is part of our overall aging process. It is not something that can be eliminated. Retainer wear after orthodontic treatment is the only way to attempt to maintain the results achieved during treatment. Even then, there is still a chance your teeth will move. The duration of the retention phase varies from patient to patient. You should discuss with your orthodontist what is the best way for you to maintain your straight smile.
