I routinely perform sclerotherapy of the lower extremities with great success, but I would not recommend sclerotherapy for facial veins because the risks of having a bad outcome do not outweigh the cosmetic benefit. I recommend seeking additional consultations in your area to consider phlebectomy, laser, or other alternative options. Even small amounts of filler to the surrounding forehead skin, carefully injected by a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon, would minimize the appearance of your veins. I hope this helps in your decision making process, and i recommend that you don’t rush into treatment for a cosmetic procedure without fully considering the risks vs benefits.

I love treating the chin with Botox and do so regularly! This area responds very well and relaxes or eliminates pebbly chin texture. The degree of muscle atrophy with long term use is unlikely to be significant enough to cause droopy skin in this area, so this is a safe treatment to repeat over time. Make sure you see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for an optimal outcome and to monitor the area long term for ideal cosmesis.

These spots are not actual moles, they are spots called dermatosis papulosa nigra, or DPNs, and they do commonly increase in number with age. I typically treat these with electrocautery to avoid affecting the skin color, and given the number of spots you have, I would recommend treatment over 2-3 sessions to fully address your DPNs. Make sure to seek care from a board certified dermatologist, and best of luck with your treatment if you choose to have these removed!

Normal mole removal for cosmesis and scar treatment are cosmetic in nature and not covered by insurance, but you have options for improving the appearance of this scar. The scar could be removed by punch excision or standard excision with sutures placed to close the would, which should leave you with a subtle line scar instead of an indented, atropic scar. The contour would look more natural than it currently appears. Additional, fractional laser treatments will soften the scar with repeated treatments, and you should notice improvement starting 6-12 weeks after your first treatment and continuing over time. It’s important to note that any time the skin is cut, a scar may form and can be unpredictable depending on how each individual person heals. Fortunately, scars can nearly always be improved, so best of luck with your treatment!

Hi Ivanka,

It appears from your photos that your left side was slightly undertreated vs your right side, making the eyelid/cheek junction more noticeable on your left. The amount of filler necessary to treat to full correction varies for each patient and may change over time, so I would recommend additional treatment to achieve an optimal appearance and balance each side.
