Had my breast augmentation done by Dr Ploplys in October 2017. I was flat and not even an A cup. She got me to my desired C size and achieved the 'natural' results I wanted. She went over implant brands, textures, and profiles during my consultation, and ended up using the brand and implant size I requested. I feel I made the best and informed decision with her help. Recovery was good, she also did great on the stitches and I have minimal scarring. Great follow up and bedside manner by Dr and staff.
Loved her from the start! A happy and caring doctor who listened to my needs. I have had 5 kids, 1 being 10lbs.. and needed muscle repair. From hearing about her bedside manner and having confidence in her I was excited for the surgery. Then covid hit. They only had to push surgery out about 6 weeks. It was a great experience..recovery was easy and I laid low for 2 weeks...followed her instructions to a T and healed perfectly!
I had my procedure on 13 Jan 15 and would not change a thing except that I wish I would of done it sooner. I have had a really easy time with this surgery, but before hand, I got my body into really good shape by exercising and eat properly. I think that along with eating healthy since my surgery has helped a lot. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about doing it. Updated on 6 Feb 2015: A few days ago I started itching so bad I was almost popping my healed nipple. I tried everything and was going crazy. I finally saw the nurse to day and she said I have a yeast infection from my breasts being so moist. She told me to keep them dry and she gave me antibiotics to heal everything. I will be 4 weeks this Tuesday and I am looking so good, cant wait for summer so that I can show my new boobies off. :)
After losing and keeping 30lbs off almost 2 years ago, I chose to look at liposuction as an option to remove my stubborn fat pockets on my flanks. I looked at both Canadian and American surgeons to have the procedure done. The surgeon I consulted with (in the USA) encouraged me to get my upper and lower abdomen done at the same time. It's been 4 weeks and I love the result on my flanks but am super anxious about the result on my abdomen. I am trying to be patient and wait for my 3 month follow-up appointment with my plastic surgeon. Updated on 22 Sep 2013: First off I am in my 30's and weight 135lbs and stand 5'5. I am very active and had a difficult time losing my flanks or 'love handles' through diet and exercise. I consulted with 2 different PS and chose Dr. Ploplys in Great Falls. The consultation and scheduling of surgery was extremely quick compared to Canada's wait times. The price was somewhat comparable. The surgery team was AMAZING, they had me laughing and in no time I was comfortable and WHAM out in recovery. So quick. I felt as though I had a tough ab workout at first. They were super impressed with my surgery and removed less fat than originally expected. They were even bragging that they got me into a small compression garment. The next few days I took my antibiotics and pain meds as instructed, although after a few days I started taking Tylenol because the prescription meds made me loopy. I did take Arnica Montana for bruising and swelling and found it incredibly helpful. I had sooo much bruising. In odd places too, it was like they had dropped me ha ha. The compression garment was so tight it 'pushed' the bruising/swelling into my upper thighs. I was worried because the compression garment made a ridge in my side and was excited at 3 weeks to change it to Spanx. I'm just wearing it at night time now. The pain.. oh my gosh I was in pain. I still had discomfort at 3 weeks and continued with Tylenol and Arnica Montana. I found it helpful to sleep somewhat upright with a body pillow behind me. Even now sleeping on my side feels odd to me. At 3-4 weeks I found that my skin felt like it was re-connecting and I was 'tight' everywhere. I started doing Yoga to help with the tightness but I still feel a pull when I stretch and odd dimples when I massage my skin. When I workout my flanks feel 'heavy' which is odd because I don't have any!! My bandages fell off themselves and I immediately started using Bio-oil on the incisions and coconut oil to massage out the lumps or unevenness. I had my first lymphatic drainage massage on Friday and will continue with them for the next few weeks - I will write more on that in the next few weeks. As I discussed with my first post, I am extremely excited with my results on my flanks, which were my original concern. I am however scared that my wrinkles and dimples will not resolve over time on my abdomen. I do have a follow-up in November and Dr. Ploplys has said she will do local lipo if necessary. So that is comforting somewhat. I'm interested to know if anyone else has experienced wrinkles and dimples and if they have resolved with time or if another procedure was required. Updated on 5 Oct 2013: Friday marked 6 weeks since my surgery date. Still have some concerns with how the texture is on my abdomen and now I'm noticing some color irregularities. I scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Ploplys on Oct 14 to see what she says. Hope it's all resolvable. So far the lymphatic drainage is going well and I've started self fascia release on my one incision scar that is dimpling. Hope it will release the scar tissue. Updated on 14 Oct 2013: Went in for my first consult post op today. Dr Ploplys recognized that I can't get to the USA often so she chose to do the revision today instead of waiting till 12 weeks or 3 months. Dr Ploplys explained that the area around your belly button is difficult to get especially when so much work was done elsewhere. She froze the area and removed the small portion of fat that was left. I'm tender and bruised but excited to see the difference. I applaud those who do local for the whole procedure! I was struggling to deal with 15 minutes of it!! Can't say enough about my ps!! She was more exited that I was, kept bragging about my change. It was great to hear especially since this surgery has been so private.. I'd love to show everyone if I could :)
I do not have pictures yet. I had a hanging stomach from pregnancy and from being so over weight for so long. I am going to be 60 in August and thought I would rather be gone with this now than to wait for weight loss that has not happened the last 30 years. I have always weighed over 200 lbs since my daughter was born and gravity was taking its toll. I am active with snow shoeing, bike riding, fishing, hiking gardening and life in general and I will just be able to get around easier. I also have arthritis bad in my back (from life in general) Obviously my legs have been working overtime most of my life. I am excited to have had this procedure done and know that I will be more comfortable the rest of my life. My surgery was done around 2PM. I was in a hotel room and resting by 9:30PM (was out of town so did not want to travel home) Did not have to stay at the hospital overnight. I have three tubes that are a pain in the butt, but worth having the procedure done. I have taken two weeks off from work. I have a pretty slack job in the Summer so should be fine going back after that. Will update in a week I recommend talking to your doctor about having this done. I am not sure what the cost is going to be until it is billed to my insurance. This is a "preventative" procedure Updated on 24 Jun 2013: Went to the doctor today. I weigh 20lbs less than when I had the surgery. My incision is irritated from the binder that they have had me wearing. My incision is lower than normal because of my body shape so I am now wearing a body shaper which is way more comfortable than the velcro binder. It is a bit tight right at the pubic area directly below where my belly button is now but the shaper will stretch out. Living in Montana you do not have much choice in shopping so I have ordered two shapers a size larger from Macy's so should be way more comfortable. I started out with three suction tubes. I still have one which we should be able to take out in a few days. The fluid level has to be 30 or less before I can take it out. I am going fishing on Saturday in the boat, I feel great, so long as I take my Tylenol about every 6 to 8 hours. I took the pain meds for two days and have been doing Tylenol ever since. The secret is to keep up the Tylenol just like the pain meds. I am not really in pain, just like an irritation on the incision and the Tylenol keeps that away also. I would recommend anyone that has the flabby stomach below the belly button to do what I did. Doctor says that it will be 3 to 6 mos before incision is completely soft and healed. I have not tried on any clothes yet but I am returning to work tomorrow so we will see what is comfortable. With the tubes I have just been wearing long skirt and top when I go out. Baggy pants will be fine with just one tube in, not really a hassle once you get use to it.
I am a 29 year old with two kids who are 3.5 year old and 18 month old. I am 5'10 and 149 pounds. I was in a car accident in 1996 and I have a 7 inch vertical scar down my stomach and the thickest width part is 2 inches. I have NEVER liked my scar and after I had my kids my scar had stretched out and I hate it even more... That is why I want the surgery. My PS is going to try to remove the thicker area of my scar by doing a tummy tuck. My surgery is tomorrow and I am SO NERVOUS!! Wish me luck. Updated on 6 Dec 2012: Today is day 2 after surgery and I'm not sure that it was worth it so far. I knew that it was going to hurt but not as bad as it did. I have had one natural birth and one with an epidural but this was FAR more pain. I did have a more then a TT but yikes. Right out of surgery I was expecting my stomach to be numb but since they sewed up my muscle you can feel it from the moment that you wake up. I was kept in the hospital overnight and I AM SO THANKFUL for that. I haven't slept more then 2 hours at a time and it is so hard to find a comfortable position. I have found that if your straight up and down sitting in bed is the best for me. I stopped all of my pain medicine because it was making me feel worse. I am just taking 1000mg of Tylenol every 4 hours. I still haven't had a BM and I still don't have an appetite. I have two drainage tubes and they are annoying but they are doing there job. LOL. Make sure you have plenty of pillows when you get home. I will post a few pictures. Updated on 8 Dec 2012: Today is day 4 PO. I slept pretty good last night and I slept flat on my back with just pillows under my knees. I on;y take 1/2 a Norco every time I have pain and it is working. I had a BM day 2 of PO thank goodness. I did use stool softeners. The only thing that is really bothering me is the drainage tubes in my groin and the hot sharp pains along my incisions on my left side when I move weird. Things are looking up for me. Definitely swollen. Updated on 12 Dec 2012: I went to my first appointment to the PS on the 1 weeks mark and my belly button looks weird. It doesn't even look like a belly button. What do you all think. My scar looks so much better so far then it did before surgery. So much smaller. I am feeling pretty good. I can sit and lay any way I want now. I don't always stand straight up and shoulders back but I'm getting there. I had two drains removed yesterday and it didn't hurt to get them removed but I could definitely feel the tubes being pulled out from the inside. WEIRD. Now I have two 1/4 inch open holes in my groin and its a little weird. I have them covered with ointment and a band-aid. Updated on 15 Dec 2012: PO day 11 My drain holes are really bruised and sore. They never stitched the holes closed and just put a band aid over it for 2 days. Is this normal? I have kept them really clean and they are started to scab and heal but are really sensitive. When I turn certain ways with my body a get a zing on my hips and the incision that are hot and stingy. It happened at PO 3 and 4 but are back now. I stand pretty good and walk a little hunched over. Updated on 16 Dec 2012: I am starting to feel like it's PO day 3 and 4 when its really PO day 12. I have a muffin top over my incision now and it seems to be getting bigger each day since my drains have been removed. I feel so bloated and my incision is starting to bleed a little. I have an appointment with my PS tomorrow so I will see what she has to say. Has anyone else felt REALLY bloated after the drains come out? I am also having a hard time sleeping at night and getting comfortable. I need to take a few days and take it easy. My Mom was here until 2 days ago helping with my 3.5 year old and 18 month old so I could rest and ever since she left I'm running crazy. lol. I'm still really happy with my surgery outcome and I cant wait for the next few months. Updated on 21 Dec 2012: PO #17 I went to the PS 4 days ago and I was wearing jeans and the first thing she told me was to take off my jeans and not wear them for another few weeks. She also told me that since my tummy is still numb that I cant feel if they are rubbing too much on my incision and that it would cause my incision to open and guess what she was RIGHT!! Today my incision has a little spot that is a little open right where my button would touch my skin/binder and has white pus. :( I called and they put me back on Keflex so I don't get an infection. I have been cleaning the incision daily but since I can't feel if I'm being too rough by trying to get the pus out I am going to just clean it and leave it alone. I also think that it is opening because I sleep flat on my back without any pillows and it pulls on the incision. I will now start sleeping in the recliner. I have noticed that the swelling has gone down and I am very happy with my new vertical scar compared to my old one. (I'm still not sure about my belly button though) Updated on 23 Dec 2012: It started at PO day 17 with a little white stringy pus coming out and now two days later it is a white cream cheese looking substance in the incision under the scab. I called my doctor before they closed for their Christmas holiday and my doctors 3 week vacation and the nurse called in Keflex for me and told me to call after the Holidays if it doesn't get better. Should I worry about the white stuff and that it is just opening more? Should I be worried about the opening and the white stuff? Updated on 30 Dec 2012: My incision started opening at PO day 17 and now at PO day 26 it is really open and deep. I am going to go back into the doctors and see what they will do. I will post a picture. I also got the Influenza A Virus on Christmas and I have been coughing A LOT so I'm not sure if that has been making the incision larger. Updated on 16 Jan 2013: I haven't done a review for 2.5 weeks so here it goes. I went to the doctors on New Years Eve and the doctor didn't want to do stitches because there was a high chance that it could get infected so he cleaned it out and sent me home. 1 week later (PO 5 weeks) I went back into the doctors due to my incision opened even more and was bleeding. He then stitched me up and put me back on Keflex for the 3rd time. I'm so glad he stitched me up because the open wound was a daily chore and it was getting old and it hurt. (this is the doctor on call since my surgeon took 3 weeks off) I'm still happy with my results and glad that it is finally healing. One problem that I have that I'm not sure is normal is that the muscle above my scar is still SO SORE. It feels like a knot of muscles under there. Has anyone else experienced this? Updated on 2 Aug 2013: Well... I happy with my results and my flat belly but not happy with the scars. I did not heal very well and my dis-solvable stitches didn't dissolve and pushed out of my skin and caused more scars. Not the surgeon fault just my body didn't agree with them. I LOVE my flat belly. I also wish that the bottom scar would have been lower so it didn't show with my bathing suit. Updated on 1 Sep 2013: Loving my flat belly and how small my old scar is now. I still have numb spot on my stomach but it is coming back. Updated on 4 Jan 2014: Feeling great!!
So far everything is great! During my consultation, Dr. Ploplys was very informative and made me feel very comfortable. I am currently a 36B and decided to go with sunglandular silicone implants at roughly 365cc each. I am so excited for this journey!! Will update with before and after photos as soon as I can! Updated on 13 Mar 2022: After a few scheduling flukes and miscommunication, I finally got into surgery and I am in love!! Everything went well. All of the staff was very accommodating and Dr. Ploplys has amazing bedside manner. Immediately upon waking from anesthesia i was in quite a bit of pain, but the nurse was quick to give me something to help. Pain was the worst on day 2. Now I am on day 3 and I have some mild itching, but my breasts are still pretty numb. Pain is at an all time low so things seem to be moving along nicely. I will update at 1 month!
I have had large breasts since I can recall. They got bigger with both of my children. I have a small 35" waist with two huge H size breasts. I have had so many boob related destroying moments trying to find appropriate clothing and crying because it just isn't possible, my friends all love shopping and I have always detested going. I started my documentation for this procedure in 2005 and am finally going through with it. My surgery is a week away and I'm starting to get nervous. I want to be a C cup when I,m done. My preop mammograms and blood work are tomarrow. Having them done makes this a little more real as I really didn't expect to get this far. We'll wish me luck! Updated on 28 Nov 2013: So I'm less than a week away and my nerves are fluttering, I received two emails yesterday from the facility that I'm having my procedure done at. This was very informative one explained the anesthesia and the other explained the procedure. These were very helpful and informative. As I read through others stories I feel as though I am not alone I have many friends that don't understand why I'm doing this. I struggle at times to explain to these individuals how awful I feel and argue that yep your right my posture is awful and if I would " fix " that my pain would be better yet they don't have what feels like two bowling balls hanging on their chest daily. My husband is very supportive, he understands the pain I have been in. My stress level is rising with all the prep. Well I will check in a little later this week. Updated on 4 Dec 2013: So my surgery went well on the way to the hospital we pulled up behind a truck that had a bumper sticker that said " save the tata's " my husband said that was a sign. I was very impressed with my facility and staff they were prompt helpful and genuine I had trouble with vomiting afterwards and it took a while to come out of it. I was very tired and uncomfortable. I struggled to keep my eyes open. Today my pain is tolerable and my drain tubes don't have a lot in them. These will be pulled tomarow. I was amazed at the immediate sense of change I felt from the tissue removal. The doctor took over 600 grams from each side, I could tell an immediate difference . I am still very tired and a little sore. I will update more later. Updated on 4 Dec 2013: So I'm very sore and had an episode where I passed out today my oxygen level dropped out I got very dizzy and down I went, I was so greatful that I had help. I was weak and scared. Afterwards it was fine but I have an awful headache. This is by far the worst of this adventure so far. I will post more in the morning with a new picture. Updated on 6 Dec 2013: Ok so day three was rough. They pulled my tubes yesterday and that was not nearly as bad as expected. I am going much longer between pain pills but remain very dizzy and weak. My bruising is very significant today with much pain. I have taken many stool softness but with no avail I took some laxative to help with the constipation I recommend being prepared for this . I remain weak and tired with several periods of rest . I will update as we go. Updated on 9 Dec 2013: Hey everyone I've had a rough few days but it seems to be getting better. The pain is still here but is much less, the bruising is starting to change colors and heal and the leaking and wrapping is less and less. My surgeon did a fantastic job. They are very symmetrical in size and shape and though they still seem large are still swollen and I'm hoping will drop to a little bit smaller size , but are far better than what I had before. My physicians team was top notch at her office and my prep and anesthesia team were fabulous my after care was a little off their top game but I survived. I am looking the same as previous photos so I will post more when I get the steri strips off. Updated on 9 Dec 2013: So we figured out the zofran was the major cause of my dizziness, and headaches so everyone be aware that zofran has some nasty side effects! I am almost completely off the pain meds except tonight I took one. I feel like I over did it today running my kids around. My night in shining armor (aka mom) took care of my kids this past week but reality called and she had to go back to work. My husband also had to go back to work so I'm it. Im am hoping to rest more tomarrow but am feeling relief with the headache disapating. I regret waiting so long to make this choice. Thank you for all hour kind words understanding and support because I have a support team but they just don't understand like someone that's been there. Thanks again Updated on 11 Dec 2013: So I removed the steri strips today and was very pleasantly surprised by my results. The swelling and bruising is still significant but not nearly as bad as before. I seem to be healing nicely and am very impressed with the results. I am struggling with the down time a little which is probably good for me. Photos to follow later Updated on 14 Dec 2013: So I'm very ready for my follow up with my PS on Monday. I am doing well my chest is not quit so sore. I am still very bruised on the right side and a small amount on the left. My right side is also the more sore side with more swelling. I have been trying to stay low key and relax but it's much harder than I anticipated . I will find out more exact numbers on Monday for exact removal which excites me . I will try to touch base after my appointment. Here's some pics from this week! Updated on 16 Dec 2013: Soooo had my first follow up today. On Saturday I noticed that my right side was a little warm and more sore than normal . When I seen my PS today she aspirated about 180 cc's of fluid from my right side and put me back on antibitiotics. I really bruised a lot and had more trauma to that side. She did a great job and was very informative. I was taken off all pain killers but Tylenol . I am hoping this helps the swelling, and relieves the pressure other than that they are beautiful. Updated on 26 Dec 2013: Hey all, so I went back to the PS last Monday right side is still very bruised she removed a little more fluid but thinks that my tissue is very bruised and will slowly heal and decrease in swelling. She kept me on Tylenol. I finally asked her how much tissue I had removed so it was 645 grams on my right and 662 grams on my left I am so very pleased with my PS and her office team. I will try to post new pictures later Updated on 14 Jan 2014: Today marks 6 weeks post op. I have had a lot of trouble with my right breast and am struggling a little. I have yet to go bra shopping as my left and right breasts are varying cup sizes still, my swelling and deep right side bruising has left me uneven and slightly frustrated. My headaches , back pain, and neck pain are fantastic and for this reason I know this was the right decision. I will continue to update as I go.
