I’ve wanted a rhinoplasty for a loooong time. Researched many places and even had a few consultations. When I went in for my consultation with Dr. Elizabeth Wick, I immediately knew that was where I wanted to get treated. If I could give 10 stars I would! She knew and did exactly what I wanted. The whole process was great. The visits prior to my procedure were very informative and done in a timely manor. During the actual procedure I was very comfortable, it went exactly as expected. As for my post op care, she has kept up with my healing process and has seen me multiple times since, showing that she cares. I am currently 6 months post op, and couldn’t be more happy with my results. Dr. Wick is friendly, confident and overall a fantastic surgeon!!!!!
I was referred to Dr. Wick after working with a dermatologist to address a facial bump. Dr. Wick effectively explained her diagnosis, surgical procedure, and the recovery process. She also went beyond expectations with follow up to help ensure that bruising was minimized and scarring healed as well as possible. I would highly recommend Dr. Wick.
I had an appointment at Ridenour Plastic Surgery for a consult and my visit turned out to be with Elizabeth Wick, M.D. While I came in for something else, the topic turned to revision rhinoplasty. As someone who had this procedure before, I did not think the average results could be fixed. Dr. Wick approached the subject cautiously and with concern, and we decided to do the surgery. She is very much of a team player, and by that, I mean she allowed me to be involved in making decisions along with her for a surgery that had risks and the possibility for complications, as the previous surgery had failed. The surgery turned out to be a success!! At this point, I have nothing but praise for Dr. Wick! She is the consummate professional, and truly cares about the well-being of her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Wick as a facial plastic surgeon.
I am 3 months out from mulitple surgical procedures and i am thrilled with the results. Dr. Wick is an exceptional physician, and an artist of a surgeon. She is deeply invested in your outcome and demonstrates genuine empathy and kindness. I had significant surgery with very little pain, quick recovery with Dr. Wick's help, and I was able to keep my secret from everyone except my wife. I highly recommend Dr. Wick and her entire team. I am very happy that I overcame my reluctance and scheduled that initial consultation.
When I met Dr. Wick, I looked old and tired with low self esteem. Dr. Wick listened to my concerns and I followed through with her recommendations with no regrets. She is a very talented plastic surgeon, and she took very good care of me in the months following the surgery. All the staff at Ridenour Plastic Surgery is friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Now I can look in the mirror again with confidence. I can’t say thank you enough.
I recently underwent a rhinoplasty and upper and lower blepharoplasty, performed by Dr. Elizabeth Wick. From the initial consultation, I felt that she really understood my concerns and goals, particularly with the rhinoplasty. Dr. Wick removed the hump on my nose, lifted the tip, and supported it so that it no longer droops, particularly when I smile. She did everything I asked she made it all look very natural. Dr. Wick also did a great job on the blepharoplasty procedures. My eyes look so refreshed! I am very happy with the results of all the procedures and I would absolutely recommend Dr. Wick to anyone considering facial plastic surgery.
I have gotten both Botox and filler with Dr. Wick and she is amazing! She really listens and communicates with you in order to give you the results that you are looking for. She is so nice and approachable. I highly recommend seeing her!
Dr Wick. Was very personable and very caring. She explained to me everything she suggested professionally. She took my concerns and hers and perfected my imperfections. She is my favorite plastic surgeon I’ve been to above all. Highly recommended.
Amazing amazing amazing! First visit to discuss fill for lower eye bags. SUCCESSFUL! Dr. Wick was/is wonderful, listening skills, great; bedside demeanor-great; patience-superb; she text, called to make sure that I was not only ok but happy! I had a f/u visit, just as kind. I feel like I have a friendship with my doctor, rare! The office staff, Brittany and others, all so kind and knowledgeable. I spoke w/Brittany about facials, specifically, having my first facial. She shared her experience. I was able to see Anna the same day. She discussed options, her recommendations based on my concerns, the process step-by-step and after care. I feel so beautiful! Thank you Dr. Wick, thank you Anna, and to the best Ridenour support staff, thank you!
Dr. Wick and the entire staff at Ridenour Plastic Surgery are wonderful! I originally booked an appointment to learn more about repairing stretched/ripped pierced earlobes. When I first met Dr. Wick, I felt as if we could be great friends. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. She answered all my questions and explained my options. Dr. Wick did an incredible job repairing & re-piercing my small/attached earlobes. She was meticulous! My ears healed quickly from the repair and the new piercings are perfectly placed/symmetrical. Additionally, as we were prepping for surgery... she went through the standard pre-op health screening questions. I ran down my prescription list, and Dr. Wick immediately knew that all the medications were linked to female pattern hair loss. My hair loss is genetic, devastating and it’s gotten worse in my 40s. I’ve worked hard to create an optical illusion -- I have hair extensions & rock a solid comb-over. And this is where Dr. Wick really shined. I was unaware that she had great expertise with hair loss. I've tried almost everything. I've struggled with widening of my center part-line & significant hair loss on the crown of my head. Dr. Wick had a strong plan of attack -- she updated my prescriptions to more substantiated dosages for hair loss and strongly recommended PRP. I'm now 6 months post prescription/topical changes + 3 rounds of PRP.... My hair is really GROWING!!! My middle part-line has narrowed, and I’ve stopped the comb overs!!! Dr. Wick is a true gem! What’s she done to address my hair loss is not only remarkable, but truly life changing. If you are someone who has struggled with hair loss, there is hope... and her name is Dr. Elizabeth Wick.
As a facial plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty I think it's most appropriate to have the original surgeon manage follow up care. If this is not something you want to pursue as a patient, then the next best option is to seek consultation with other expert rhinoplasty surgeons in your area, meaning surgeons that focus on facial plastic surgery or rhinoplasty in particular. It may require meeting more than one surgeon to determine a level of trust and this may unfortunately require multiple upfront consultation fees before you find the right person for you. But it's worth the effort to find somebody you trust to take over care of you and your surgery. Depending on how long it has been since your surgery (i.e. 4-6 weeks vs. 6-12 months) your new surgeon may recommend, further waiting for healing, low dose steroid injections, or planning a revision surgery. I wish you luck in your journey and ultimate recovery. This is a stressful time for you, but I will advice that patience is extremely important to building a strong relationship and having a good final outcome since rushing revision rhinoplasty surgery can be a catastrophic decision.
Thank you for your question. The shadowing in your picture makes it difficult to speak to your specific anatomy. In general, eye rejuvenation can be broken down into three categories that include:1. topical treatment of discoloration or fine lines2. HA filler (Restylane vs. Volbella) to smooth and hide undereye hollows that become more obvious as skin and fat layers become thinner over the muscles and ligaments around the eyes3. surgical correction of undereye hollows and fat herniation I like Epionce and Alastin products for topical treatment of the eyes. Epionce has two topical treatments that are more effective when used together, but can be used independently to specifically target dark circles (Luminous Eye Serum) vs. fine lines (Renewal Eye Cream).
The short answer to your questions is that a lip lift is the best treatment to shorten the philtrum— lifting the middle 2/3rd of the upper lip. Filler is more appropriate for changing the the generalized shape of the lip or lifting the corners of your mouth. A chin implant is best to permanently increase the projection of a “weak chin” (as viewed from the side). I mention this as the most direct answer because ultimately no single treatment will transfer the entire mouth upward as you’ve demonstrated in your picture. For your best results, I recommend that you seek the evaluation of an expert in facial plastic and cosmetic surgery in your area! Good luck.
PRP is a great option for younger patients (under 35) looking to improve their hair and/or delay the need for hair transplantation. It works best when performed as a series of 3 - 4 treatments separated by 1 month each. After this, maintenance treatments are suggested every 4 - 6 months to maintain the effect for around 2 years. Results from PRP can be variable, however, because the concentration of growth factors in the blood vary between people and the time of the day based on individual stress levels. The results of PRP also depend on the presence of remaining hair follicles. Hereditary balding can lead to complete loss of follicles (shiny balding), after which PRP does not offer improvement. In this situation, the only option to restore hair is hair transplantation which has the advantage of being a permanent treatment. The last thing I will add regarding hair loss prevention, and delaying hair transplantation, is that you should really consider starting a combination of topical minoxidil (Rogaine) and some form of finasteride (Propecia) or dutasteride. Oral Propecia is FDA approved to treat hair loss, but has a small (~2.5%) associated risk of temporary sexual side effects. While the oral form is the most effective form, topical forms have also been shown to be effective in slowing or stopping hair loss without the sexual side effects. I have patients that love this option, but it’s a personal decision since the oral form is slightly more effective. These medications should be prescribed by a physician that specialize in hair loss treatment such as a facial plastic surgeon, dermatologist, or plastic surgeon. Best wishes!
Hair transplantation is a wonderful treatment option to permanently improve the appearance of your hair. The procedure involves moving existing hair (donor hairs) from the back of your scalp, where hairs are resistant to genetic causes of hair loss, to areas of hair loss or thinning along the hairline or crown. Superior, natural-appearing results rely on realistic surgical planning based on your number of available donor hairs, compared to the size and necessary density of the treatment area. Patients with early onset, rapid, or severe hair loss, unfortunately, may eventually develop a “donor mismatch” where they don’t have enough donor hairs to naturally treat the entire area of hair loss. This can be managed artfully in patients whose hair loss has stabilized. Unfortunately, young patients—under 30—continue to lose hair. So I strongly recommend to my patients at this age or earlier starting an oral or topical finasteride or dutasteride and a topical minoxidil. Based on my patients’ needs, I may add other topical treatments and/or minimally invasive procedures that introduce growth factors to the scalp. All of these treatments work to maximize your existing hair, prevent further loss, preserve your donor hair, and reduce downtime after transplantation once your hair loss has stabilized. At your age, I would recommend you seek the advise of a hair loss expert in your area that can counsel you through this full range of options and their timelines, prior to jumping directly into hair transplantation surgery. I wish the best for you and your hair loss journey!
